"You look lovely" she said.

"Thankyou, I don't look like I'm really trying to make an effort do I?"

"No, you look fine! You ready to go?"

I looked at the clock, it was quarter to 2, 15 minutes and I would hopefully be talking to my dad. I put on my best smile, looked at his mum and said

"ready"

As we walked out the door, the cold winter wind hit me. The cold bite in the wind made my cheeks turn red. As we walked, JJ's mum told me about the time after I left. Apparently, the day I left as soon as JJ saw me go, he ran home, locked himself in his room and cried. I really did mean something to him and it made me feel so good to know that. I felt like a primary school kid walking to school on the first day, I was so excited, nervous, scared. A mixture of emotions and questions were going through my head. As we reached the corner where the coffee shop was, JJ's Mum stopped.

"You go ahead now, walk in and then in like 10 minutes time I'll follow you"

"Ok then..." I said as I began to walk.

"Good luck, be yourself" JJ's mum shouted as I turned the corner.

I walked up to the door of the coffee shop, took a deep breath and pushed it open. I looked around to see a crowd of people. How would I find him? I began to search and look around, I didn't know what he looked like so how could I find him?

"Megan?" Said a voice.

I looked to the left to see a man stood up. He looked at me, his big brown eyes and his hair perfectly in place. He was dressed in jeans and a shirt with a jacket over.

"Dad?" I asked.

I could see his eyes getting wetter. I walked over to him and fell into his arms. His fatherly hug making me feel better. He kissed my head and stroked my hair.

"You don't understand how much this means to me" he whispered and I hugged him tighter.

We both sat down, he'd ordered me a coffee and we began to talk.

"Am I what you expected?" I asked.

"You're beautiful"

"You're what I imagine you to be like"

We both started to laugh. He then started to explain to me why he had left when I was so young, apparently, my parents had argued  lot and everyday there was another argument over something silly. He said that he didn't want me to be raised in an environment full of arguments and hurt so he thought it best to leave and do you know what? I totally understood why he did it. He had my best interests and my future in his head and he did what he did for me. Then we got onto the topic of love. He told me that he never actually stopped loving my mum, and that I looked like her when she was younger.

"So, I believe there's someone lucky who has your heart"

"Yes, JJ"

"Have you got a photo?"

"Oh yes of course, here" I said as I handed him my phone. The lock screen on my iphone was a silly photo of me and JJ in the park. He was kissing my cheek as I pulled a silly face.

"Does he treat you well?" He asked.

"Yes of course" I replied.

"And he's in a band?"

"Yes, they're on the X Factor next weekend, Union J"

"I'll be cheering them along then"

"You better had be" I said laughing.
