Then I sighed.
"What wrong?"
"Well...."
"Baby?"
"I'd always thought that my Dad would be the person to walk me down the isle, but that's never going to happen. He left when I was really young and I'd love it if my father would be there to walk me down the Isle if I ever did get married"
"Did your mum never talk to you about him?"
"Nope, she never mentioned him and when I asked, she just changed the subject"
We were going to go into more detail about the relationship I had with my Father but Otea walked over with tears in her eyes. She came to sit on my knee.
"What's wrong?"
"It's them over there, they pushed me over"
As soon as JJ found out someone had hurt his little sister, he got up and charged over to the group of young youths who had pushed her over. I could see him having a go at them, shouting and cursing. I found it adorable how protective JJ was over his sister. He wouldn't let anyone touch her. Whlist JJ went and argued with the youths, I cuddled Otea until the last tear fell from her eyes. When JJ had finished, he picked his little sister up and gave her a piggy back to the house.
When we arrived back at the house, JJ mum had our tea layed out on the table. We settled down and began to eat, talking about the day we had. His mum and dad went upstairs to go and complete some of the work they had been doing. It was very secretive. They kept talking to JJ in private like they were on to something that I shouldn't know about. We all sat around the table when Otea came running up to us the one of her favorite Disney films, Aladin. I looked at JJ and laughed.
"Shall we?"
He groaned
"Aw c'mon, it'll be fun" I said, grabbing his hand and taking him over to the television. Otea put the DVD into the television and we all settled down on the sofa and began to watch, Otea snuggled in between JJ and I. During the film, JJ began to snore so I thought me and Otea would have some fun. I whispered into her ear for her to go and get some of her felt tip colours. If JJ was going to be rude and fall asleep in the middle of a film then maybe we could do some painting. No not on paper,on his face. Otea ran down with her felt tips in her hands and some of my make up from my room, then we got started. We drew all over his face, drawing moustaches and lipstick. By the time we had finished, he looked like one of the ugly sisters from the pantomime. We both couldn't stop laughing. I got my phone and took a photo, not realising that the phone was going to make a noise and wake him up. He opened his eyes to see myself and his little sister looking over him, tears in our eyes from the laughter.
"What have you done??" He asked.
I turned my phone around so he could see the photo's. As soon as he clapped, eyes on the photo's he stood up. I grabbed Otea and we ran, JJ chasing us around the house. We were all laughing. JJ got us back by drawing all over our faces. We all looked like complete idiots but none of us cared. The Hamblett family was my family now. Then we went back to watching the film. After the film, it was time for Otea to go to bed. JJ went up to try and put her to bed but she asked me could I be the one to tuck her in. I agreed. I went into her room, put all of her clothes into her drawers, tucked her into bed and kissed her goodnight. I decided to go to bed myself after that. Changing into JJ's shirt, I opened the wardrobe to see all of my things placed neatly. Josh had brought them around when JJ and I had been at the park. It now felt like home. I nestled my head into the pillow and felt JJ cuddle up behind me.
It was one o’clock in the morning and I was lay down with JJ in bed. I could Otea weeping so I quietly got up and walked down to her room.
“Hello sweetie, I’m here whats wrong”
