"n-nothing"
That was weird. Why the hesitation. It wasn't like my mum wasn't expecting this and what did it matter to John anyway?. My mum glanced at her watch, it was quater to two. She grabbed her coat and we walked home. I hated the way she was under a time, she seemed more nervous and on edge. What had happened.
When we arrived home I sat with my laptop and my phone by my side. Waiting, waiting, waiting. After what seemed like forever, my laptop started to ring and there was a requested call from George. I aswered straight away.
"HEYYYY!" I heard the boys shout.
"Hey boys!!! How did it go?"
"Amazingly well, we hope we get through! How are you, you seem down"
"Oh well my mums with John..."
"You're Joking!" George said.
"Nope, but enough about me. Tell me more about your day"
The boys began to tell me what Las Vegas was liked and how much they were loving being together. They told me that they has performed infront of Louis and Sharon and that they didn't give much away by their facial expressions. Surely, that was a good thing right? I hoped so. My mum walked into the room and jumped onto the call with me.
"GOOD LUCK BOYS!!" she shouted at the screen.
"Thankyou!!" Shouted JJ.
"Well haven't you changed eh?" she asked.
He laughed but I could tell she was embarrassing him. John called her out again. We then began to dance wierdly on cam and each boy gave me a heart with their hands. All of a sudden John came into my room, which is something that he never usually did.
"Off that now!" He exclaimed.
I looked at him, puzzled. Who the hell did he think he was?
"Boys, look erm, i've got to go, i'll see you tomorrow hopefully with some good news!"
"I miss you Meg! I love you" whispered JJ.
"I love you too! Goodnight boys! goodluck" I said, turning my camera off.
I got out of my clothes and put my Pyjamas on. John had really shocked me, he might have had my mum fooled but he didn't fool me.
Time seemed to drag on and on. Six O'Clock couldn't have come around any slower. I was extremely excited to meet the other boys families. I ran downstairs dressed in my shorts and my white sleeveless top with my navy blue hoodie over.
"I'm going Mum" I shouted.
"Ok, I'm coming now" she shouted, although she sounded like she'd been crying.
I didn't think anything of it, I must have been making it up in my head.
Walking up to George's door, we were greeted by a massive hug from his mum.
"Come on in sweetheart"
I walked into the living room where the boys families were stood talking. JJ's mum gave me a wave across the room as she was in mid conversation with Josh's mum. I knew which family member belonged to which boy. I also knew about Jaymi and Olly and surprisingly, he was the first person to come and greet me.
"Hiya babe!" He said.
"Olly?" I asked.
"You got that right, and you must be Meg? Jaymi's told me so much about you! Come over here with us!"
I walked over with Olly and was introduced to the other boys families, they all seemed lovely. I was welcomed like one of their own. We were all talking and spending time finding out some information about each other. I spent most of the night talking to Olly, he was just like Jaymi, hilariously funny and so easy to get along with.
"GUYS THEIR CALLING" shouted George's mum, plugging the laptop into the television.
The room went quiet. The boys were on cam. I could see them all and their faces weren't giving anything away. They were red and they looked like they were crying, this could have gone one of two ways.
"Well...." asked George's mum.
"We didn't make it" Said Jaymi.
The whole room sighed and looked down, I felt a tear run down my cheek. Looking round at Olly, I went to give him a hug as he was crying. He put his head on my shoulder and cried. I looked up at the screen and saw the boys laughing. Immediately, I tapped Olly to look with me.
"Only joking....WE GOT THROUGH TO LIVE SHOWS!!" The boys screamed simultaneously.
The whole room went from silence and sad tears, to an eruption of happiness. Olly picked me up and twirled me around as the boys jumped around on cam. I looked at the boys and they looked at me. I gave them a thumbs up and continued to celebrate with the rest of the family. I couldn't stop crying. My boys had made it, they were going to be the next big thing. Proud wasn't the word to describe how I felt. I ran up to my mum and we started to sing along to Call Me Maybe with the boys. Partying on till late, we made our way home. When we got in, I made my way up to my bedroom.
I could hear shouting downstairs.
"I SAID BE BACK FOR 11, AND WHAT TIME DO YOU CALL THIS!!"
"I'm sorry John, w-w-we got a bit c-carried a-away, the boys got through!"
"I couldn't give a shit about those boys! You follow my rules, do you hear me? MY rules"
My mum ran up the stairs, I could hear her sobbing and it wasn't a sound I liked to hear. I shot to my bedroom. Climbing into bed, I looked at my phone to see a text from JJ.
"Can't wait to see you tomorrow, missed you! Lets celebrate!"
I smiled but I still couldn't cope with the way John had spoken to my mum. How dare he!
