Percy's POV

I awoke to my usual alarm clock. Only, the sky was so dark I could barely see the alarm clock next to me. I fumbled to turn it off.

'Perseus Jackson!' A voice called, 'Get up! It's moving day!'
'I'm almost done Mom!' I lied. I quickly changed into my most black and comfortable clothes. I then proceeded to brush my teeth furiously and take a shower that lasted three minutes.
'Percy!' My mother bellowed.
'Almost done!' I repeated, 'Done!' I chuckled, the moment my mother barged into my room.
'Move it.' my Mother said shortly, 'And wake up Tyson and Estelle.'

My fourteen year old, autistic brother, Tyson, woke up in no time at all. Estelle took a little time, she was twelve.

'Estelle get up,'
'No.'
'Please?'
'No...' she groaned, 'I just had a load of seventh grade homework Percy,'
'I'm in the eleventh and I'm not complaining- get up,' I dragged Estelle by her leg.
'Percy stop!' Estelle shook her head of salt and pepper hair, which looked like it had been dyed because it wasn't random, but in beautiful curly wisps. She groaned, 'Fine.'

I laughed.

'Have you packed for you and Tyson?'
'Yep.'
I hugged my little sister, 'You're really good at taking care of him.'
'Percy stop being sappy come on! Move your butt and help mom!' Estelle was a tomboyish girl. She was like her cousin, Nico. A total Emo. Wow that rhymed (Don't blame me for noticing that. I have ADHD).

I helped Estelle pack her last things and we both helped Tyson get ready as well. He was very dependant on us being autistic.

'Estelle! Tyson! Percy!' My mom's voice rang through the house, 'Will you hurry up?'
'Coming mom!' Estelle said quickly.

The journey was long and an hour felt like a day. But luckily, Estelle got some UNO!

The car door slammed and I stood in front of my new house. Two floors. Four rooms, three bathrooms, one kitchen and a living room which was presented as we stepped inside.

An hour later I felt in need for some air. I was feeling stuffy and weird and tired in this new house.

'Mom!' I called out, 'I'm going for a walk- call me if Tyson gets into some trouble!'
'Percy! Be back before dark!'
'Sure Mom,'

I was wearing the same clothes. I yanked on some black sneakers and started walking. In the balcony next to mine a girl stood. She had honey-blonde hair and stormy grey eyes that I noticed even from afar. She smiled and I smiled back. Her smile was dazzling, adorable and warm. I realised we were staring at each other. I smiled one last time and walked away.

Annabeth's POV

The doorbell rang.

'Coming!' I said quickly, 'Luke? Hi! Unexpected come on in!'
'Annabeth,' Luke said, 'I'm not coming in.'
'You're my boyfriend- you are coming in.'
'Was your boyfriend.' Luke corrected, 'I found someone- better, more pretty. Unlike you, not a nerd.'

Tears were forming in my eyes.

'What?' I said, 'I trusted you! I trusted us!'
'Well- I mean- look at yourself.' he said, 'I'm done with you, Trust is a fragile thing isn't it? Funny really. Anyways I-'

I wouldn't hear the rest of it. I slammed the door in his face. I sunk down and started sobbing.

'Annabeth?' my brother Malcom entered, 'Anna- Hey, hey... Are you ok?'

I shook my head and sobbed more as he put his arm around me.

'Annabeth talk to me.'

I took a huge gulp of air.
'It's Luke,' I said, 'He just b-broke up with me...' I explained the entire conversation with him.
'Oh Annie...' Malcolm muttered some curses, 'Look- listen to me. You do not deserve that...you understand me?'

I wiped the tears off my cheeks.

'I want to be alone, Thanks Mack- really...'

I walked out of the room and to the balcony in desperate need for fresh air. I quickly washed my face before doing so. My chest was still aching.

I looked ahead of me, staring into space. I heard the door of our next door neighbours slam.

Next door neighbours?

We didn't have any neighbours next door. That meant someone had just moved in. The house had been vacated a month ago.

I looked down to a boy with jet black hair and sea green eyes, so vibrant anyone would notice it from meters afar. He was wearing all black, including his sneakers. I smiled. He smiled back. He was really... handsome...

I ran inside feeling funny. I just broke up with my boyfriend and was already thinking about other guys? No wonder Luke left me.

No. That dimwit was stupid to leave you. You're beautiful, you're amazing, Annabeth, I told myself. I didn't know how much I believed in those words, You're kind, and the only reason you're thinking about other guys is because you hate Luke.

I walked inside as he jogged away. Malcolm was still waiting for me.

'Are you feeling- better?'
'Much,' I said, 'I was thinking- I'll go to get some coffee- that'll make me feel better.'
'Can I come?'
'I don't think Jennifer will like that,' I said, referring to my step-mom, the monster of our house, 'Both of us trying to have a good time will send her to the depths of Tartarus.'
'Yeah I guess...'
'Bye Mack.'
'Bye,'

I walked out to the nearest Coffee shop. I was enjoying some coffee when Mr. Handsome enters the shop as well. He looks at me and frowns, like he's trying t o remember me- then he smiles a little and waves. I wave back smiling as hard as I could. He took the table across me and then got to some coffee. We didn't look at each other once.
