Xinyi's POV

"You don't have to do this, sis." my worried sister said.

"I did this for us, for our family. Don't worry, I'll be fine." I said, closing my luggage.

"But do you really need to stay there? What if someone blocks your way and then hurts you?" I laugh about what my sister said.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. It's me, okay?" I said with a smile.

"Please be careful, okay?" she whispered and hugged me. I nod.

"I will"

I began to fix myself when I organized my belongings.

I need to do it even if I don't want to leave my family. My mother is unable to work, that's why as one of the people who have a degree. I'm lookout for work.

They all assumed I was working as a nurse in one of the typical hospitals outside the country.

However, this is not the case. They have no idea that I would work in a mental institution. Yes, an asylum. Someone invited me to come along. I initially declined, but because the salary is so high, I agree.

They advised that I prepare myself. Even though I have no idea what kind of asylum I'll be working in. For the sake of my family, I must be strong.

After I've fixed everything. I said my goodbyes to my family and boarded a taxi.

"I'm sorry, mom, I lied," I say.

I was dropped off at a café by the driver. Mrs. Chen is waiting for me there. She's one of the asylum's doctors.

I'm still not sure what that asylum's name is. I know nothing about the asylum where I'll be staying. But I can manage it for my family.

"Hello, Miss Pei" Mrs. Chen greets me. I make a bow to her.

"Hello, Mrs. Chen. Just call me Xinyi." She merely nods and smiles.

"Are you prepared?" she inquired.

"What type of asylum am I going to? I simply want to know before I go," I ask, and she grins.

"Are you sure Miss Pei? If I say it, there's no going back. You need to work in our asylum. Our asylum is private, which is why we're strict. This is an important matter for me and the asylum, so be sure you still need to work there when you find out."
