The boys were all trying to avoid the subject of the hunters' attack since the incident.

They were being just as funny and just as kind, going the extra mile to make sure Yu felt included as their new pack member.

But Yu could feel it; things were different.

There was a shadow looming over the boy's smiles and despite their best effort, Yoongi barely showed up to meals, spending most of his time outside or locked in his room.

They were all hiding their uneasiness with varying levels of success, only one member of the pack remained unchanged; Seokjin.

He was tending to the wounds they had gotten during the fight, cooking the meals and generally managing to act the same as usual.

The whole household was still sleeping when the smell of food coming from the kitchen woke Yu up. It wasn't unusual, Seokjin was an early riser and he liked the peace and quiet of cooking alone in the morning.

The girl walked down the stairs and stopped in the doorframe of the kitchen, silently observing his calm movements.

''You can come help if you want...'' Jin said with a smile.

''How did you know I was here?''

''It's nothing compared to yours, but I've got a good nose. As the eldest I have to have a couple of skills.'' He said cheekily as he girl came closer.

''You have a lot of skills. You cook, you take care of our injuries and you look over everyone... ''Yu remarked before sitting on the opposite side of the countertop to Jin.

''Just like I said, I'm the oldest so I had to learn how to take care of the pack in my own way...'' Jin said as he was whisking some eggs.

''Everybody's been trying to act like nothing happened, but you can tell they're frazzled. You on the other hand, you're the same as always...'' the girl said, her words stopped Jin in his path and he came in front of her.

''The boys are all affected differently by what happened... I got a good scare too, but now that things have settled, it doesn't change much for me. Of course, I'm worried about the future of the pack, but I know that fear and doubt will get me nowhere. That's why I keep busy and keep looking forward.'' Jin explained.

Yu's head tilted to the side.

''I never realised how strong you are until now...'' she said.

Her words made Jin laugh.

''I'm really not that strong, I just have a lot of faith in our family. All of them are stronger than they know. All I can do is take care of them until they all achieve their true potential...'' he said.

''What about me... do you have faith in me too?'' Yu asked.

Jin smiled warmly and took her hands in his large ones.

''Yes, I do.'' The man said with conviction.

''I don't feel like I deserve your trust... I made a lot of trouble for your pack...''

''You mean our pack. If you feel that you did something wrong, you should try to apologize. That's the first step to feeling better and earning the other's trust again.'' Jin said calmly.

Yu looked down, embarrassed at how she had neglected such an obvious solution.

''I'm sorry, Jin... I didn't mean to use dominion on you... and I didn't mean to put the pack in danger...'' the girl said shyly.
