Chapter 45 : Trouble

''We all need some drinks to relax a bit, I'll go order some at the hotel bar, my treat.'' Jin suggested before walking out after Hoseok and followed by Yoongi.

''I'm sorry I got you guys worried again...'' Yu apologised before Jimin trapped her into a bone crushing hug.

''I'm so happy you're okay!'' he said, his eyes slightly teary.

It took some convincing for Namjoon to even allow her back in the water while Jimin and Tae observed her, eagle eyed, giving her some much needed tips and tricks.

Even with the floaties, it was becoming apparent that Yuki was a terrible swimmer. She was somehow managing to kick her legs strong enough to splash everyone, but still fail to move even an inch forward. She tried imitating Jungkook's elegant swimming style, but the second she got on her stomach her head dipped under water and her nose got so full of pool water that she started coughing, yet again.

Jimin grabbed her by the floatie and pulled her to the shallow part of the pool, where her feet could touch the bottom.

''We can't be too safe.'' Jimin explained while Yu looked at all the flotation devices put around her, seriously doubting him.

''Try to lean back and I'll help you keep your head out.'' Taehyung suggested.

With a hand behind Yuki's head and another one on the small of her back, he helped her to lean back and float backwards.

''I think I'm getting it!'' Yu said happily as Taehuyng slowly released his hold.

''See I'm a great teacher!'' Taehyung exclaimed while sending a sly grin in Jimin and Namjoon's direction (both of which were fuming at Tae's initiative to put his hands all over Yu).

The second his hands stopped supporting her, Yuki's body flipped on her side and the next moment she was face down in the water, flailing her arms and legs.

Jungkook who was the only one not currently engaged in a stare down, lifted her out of the water by the shoulders, his face as red as the girl's bikini as he helped her to her feet in the waist deep water.

''That's enough swimming for today!'' Jimin said sternly, grabbing Yu by the arm and escorting (or more like dragging) her out of the pool.

As he held her, Yu could feel his quick pulse and shallow breathing. Clearly, her being anywhere near the water left him in a state of distress, so she obliged and sat down on one of the beach chairs.

Jimin then proceeded to burrito wrap her in a pile of towels, even though she insisted she wasn't cold. Both Jungkook and Namjoon seemed relieved by Jimin's initiative, while Taehyung looked kind of annoyed.

Just as Jimin was done wrapping Yu up, Hoseok, Yoongi and Jin walked in, pushing a mini-bar trolley.

''Can I at least take off the floaties now that I'm sitting down?'' Yu was trying to bargain with Jimin.

''But what if you get up and fall in the pool!'' Jimin replied.

Jin handed Jimin a cocktail glass and that seemed to be a good enough argument for Yu to be allowed to take the floaties off.

Hoseok was back to his smiley self, but his eyes were red, like he had just cried, and both Jin and Yoongi looked a bit off, although they kept chatting and laughing like everything was good.

Jin was busy mixing some cocktails when Yu came close to the trolley and grabbed a bottle before sniffing it discreetly.

Taehyung seemed to notice her move and grinned at her.

''Is it the way this is supposed to smell? It has the same scent as some very overripe fruits...'' Yu said while looking at the bottle curiously

''That's basically what booze is. You never drank?'' Namjoon asked.

Yu shook her head no and Jin handed her a pretty pink drink.

''This doesn't have any alcohol, you can drink it, no worries.'' Jin said, not even bothering to ask her if she wanted to try booze.

Yu left to go back to her beach chair, slightly pouting, before Taehyung came next to her.

''You're an adult, you can try if you want to, I'll watch out for you.'' Taehyung said before quickly exchanging glass with her.

Yu nodded in thanks and took a small sip of the drink.

''It tastes like... fire...'' Yu said, repressing a grimace at the unfamiliar taste.

''I made it double, once you get used to the burn, it's real good.'' He explained before walking off with her old drink.

The drink didn't really suit her tastes. It was extremely sweet and the flavours were too powerful for her palate, but she didn't want to seem rude either, especially when Tae had made an effort to sneak her a drink when Jin seemed opposed to the idea.

She figured that drinking it as fast as possible would just get her rid of the unpleasant drink faster, so she could go and ask for something else... Besides after choking on all that pool water, she was thirsty!

She downed the drink in one go, as fast as she could and immediately felt different. Her face got hot and her whole body felt like Jell-o.

She should have known better, as a Lycan, her body had an unusually fast metabolism which meant that she was reacting instantly to the full effect of the booze. The upside was that it shouldn't last too long.

This wasn't good. She had to go to the restroom until this weird state passed. If Jin caught her red handed and both her and Tae would be in trouble for sure.
