It took them a whole month of travelling as wolves to finally reach their destination.
It was a huge manor, deep in the countryside. The closest village was about an hour away, but the reclusiveness of the place was only an added bonus.
Yuki recognised this as the place where Mark's pack was established, she had grown in both that building and the immense surrounding woods that were part of the estate.
''You were right. This place is perfect for a fresh start.'' Hoseok said with a smile before rubbing Yuki's head.
''It's remote from the city, but we can find some work in the village if the money from the stocks we sold ever comes short.'' Yoongi said while taking in the surroundings.
''This place is huge, it's perfect for raising a family!'' Taehuyng said, overexcited.
''Take it easy, we're in no hurry...'' Jungkook said clearly worried at the thought of raising kids so early.
''I like it. The surrounding woods come with the property so nobody will come bother us when we go hunt. There's also plenty of land to make a nice garden, I always wanted a garden to tend to...'' Jin said deep in thought.
''Why are you so silent, Yuki? Is everything alright?'' Jimin asked, as Yuki walked towards the manor's entrance in silence.
She navigated the manor with ease, surprised at how well she still knew the place, and she made it to a large office.
There was a large desk with a folder resting atop it. She opened the folder and found fake identity papers for her as well as Mark's will.
He did consider the fact that he might lose this fight after all and he had prepared in consequence. Yuki was not even surprised to see that he left her his estate and every asset.
Mark's life of war and crime was a surprisingly lucrative one, money wouldn't be a concern for a very long time with all he had left for her.
''Are you okay? If this place brings back bad memories, we can just sell it and find something else.'' Namjoon said as he entered the room.
''This place has a dark past and a history of violence and hatred... but so do I.... I think this house deserves a new life, one full of happy memories.'' Yuki said as the rest of the boys made it to the office.
''So, what's the next step?'' Yoongi asked while looking at Yuki who sat behind the desk.
''Our kind is forever stuck between living with humanity or retreating to their animal nature. There was never an in between, a place where our kind could be both... We need to find others like us and show them that there exists a way to live in peace and to embrace both our natures. This I what I want to do here; I want to create an in between, a safe place for those like us.'' Yuki said, with a smile full of conviction.
''I like the sound of that!'' Hoseok said.
''What are we waiting for? This place is in dire need of a makeover!'' Taehyung said while looking around the dusty room.
''We'll manage, at this point, is there anything we can't do?'' Namjoon replied confidently.
''First things first, we have to get settled in and eat some... then we can start making plan...'' Jin said.
''First come first serve; I'll get myself the best room of the house!'' Jungkook exclaimed before running off.
''You brat! No way you're getting the best room!'' Jimin said while chasing after Jungkook.
''We have a lot of work ahead to make this crazy idea of yours work... It sounds like a pain in the ass, but I guess it can't be helped; your crazy ideas always turn out pretty good in the end...'' Yoongi said with a sigh and a corner smile.
''Enough talking for now... I know exactly what room I want.'' Yuki said with a sly smile before jumping over the desk and running past the lot of the boys who quickly took her in chase, laughing as they ran across their new home.
Yuki glanced over her shoulder at their smiling faces and her heart filled with hope; as long as they were together; life could only be bright.
