Yu struggled to her feet and wobbled by the pool side, but her arm got caught by Hoseok who tilted his head while looking at her attentively.

''Are you-'' he started asked before Yu shushed him by putting a finger on his mouth.

''Jin and Namjoon are going to freak...'' Hoseok said while looking around, fear in his eyes.

''I'm an adult... I can deal with a little glass of...'' Yu said, realising her own voice sounded off.

''You're powerful enough to literally kill someone with a word. Getting intoxicated here is a terrible idea...'' Hoseok explained calmly.

''You may have a point...'' Yu conceded. ''I need a reason to leave... I have a great idea!'' she then added suddenly.

Hoseok was about to ask Yu about her great idea when she dramatically faked slipping on the side of the pool, before falling in and then started to drown, again.

In her drunken state, she managed to actually fall pretty hard and sink to the bottom of the pool. Hoseok who was talking to her jumped in almost immediately and wrapped her into his arm before walking out of the pool.

''Are you stupid or something!'' Hoseok said while putting her down.

His tone was that of pure anger, he didn't look like he was acting at all.

''Do you think it's funny to keep scaring me like this! My heart almost fucking stopped when I saw you at the bottom of that pool and now you just let yourself fall in a second time to fucking taunt me!'' Hoseok said, his tone cutting.

''I-I-'' Yu started saying.

''I don't fucking care! If you don't start taking your own wellbeing seriously, I'll take care of it for you!'' Hoseok said, grabbing Yu's wrist and pulling her behind him.

''Relax Hobi.'' Jin said as Hoseok was walking past, but a single glance dissuaded Jin to talk any further.

Even Yu was too scared to say anything at this stranger pulling her towards the elevator.

Hoseok took his shirt off and handed it to her without a word as they waited for the doors the slide open. Yu put on the white T-shirt without making a fuss.

The shirt smelled just like the usual Hoseok, but the man standing in front of her felt almost completely different. They got onto the empty elevator silently and Hoseok led the way to Yu's room.

''I didn't mean to scare you when I-'' Yu started saying before Hoseok slammed the door behind her before pinning her against the wall.

''If you engage in reckless, self destructive, dangerous behavior like your life doesn't matter ever again, I swear I will make you regret it.'' Hoseok said.

''I'm not afraid of you, Hoseok.'' Yuki said, not letting herself fall for threats, even if they might have been coming from a good place.

With the adrenaline rushing through her body, she felt stone cold sober again.

''You should be!'' Hoseok said, slamming his fist into the metal door, hard enough to make a dent and leaving his knuckles bloody.

''Don't hurt yourself!'' Yu said, immediately worried.

''Is that what it'll takes for you to finally understand?'' Hoseok said while looking at his bloody hand.

''I'm sorry for making you worried. Please, calm down, this is no reason for you to get hurt!'' Yu tried to reason.

Hoseok punched the door again, a nasty cracking sound was hear upon the impact, but his expression remained that of cold rage.

''You don't get it do you! How much you keep hurting me!'' Hoseok yelled inches away from Yu's face as he expression grew into shock.

''I never meant-''

''Each time you get hurt, it hurts me ten times more than it hurts you!'' Hoseok yelled. ''I don't care how fast your wounds heal! Every drop of blood you shed feels like a failure!''

''Hoseok, please-''

''Then you pretend like nothing is happening and you force a smile! But your eyes stay so fucking sad! Every time I see you sad it feels like the whole word is crumbling around me! You're driving me insane!'' Hoseok said, punching the door again, a trail of blood now trinkling down the bump on the door.

Yu couldn't process the words Hoseok was throwing at her and her eyes started burning with the feeling of soon to be tears.

''Seeing you lock yourself away and cry that other day... It was the worst experience of my life! Seeing you in pain is torture! Do you fucking get it!'' Hoseok screamed again.

As he was about to punch the door again, Yu caught his fist. Hoseok took the moment to pin her hand against the door.

''And then... after all the pain you make me feel... you look at me... you smile... and I forget everything...'' Hoseok said, his voice falling to a strained whisper, and he let his head fall on Yu's shoulder.

''I never knew-''

''That's the worst part. You don't even know how much the people around you care. You don't see love when it's staring right at you.'' Hoseok said, releasing Yu's hand and taking a step back.

Hoseok was about to turn back when Yuki softly grabbed his injured hand.

''I'm sorry... for everything...'' the girl said.

''Are you apologising for me falling in love with you?'' Hoseok asked, his expression unreadable.

Yu stood for a second, mouth agape with surprise.

''I never meant to hurt you...You know that, right?'' Yu said, her voice shaky from the shock of the confession she had just received.

''I know. Falling for you was my own damn fault... but since my heart is yours now, you have to take responsibility for it and start treasuring yourself more...'' Hoseok said, putting his free hand on Yu's cheek.

''I wasn't expecting this...'' Yu admitted

''I'm not expecting an answer, much less a positive one... But a selfish part of me needed to know how much you cared...''

Hoseok lifted Yu's chin up and she was too surprised to move when he pressed a delicate kiss on her lips, pulling back the next instant with a bashful expression.

''Hopefully this will help you find an answer...''
