"Here you go Lady Akari!"
Tilting my head at the small brown pouch Choji holds outwardly to me, cupping it within his palm, I pick it up by its tie.
Analyzing it, I dangle it by its top, the leather fabric and a small string tied to secure it, I notice that it's also quite a bit hefty as well.
Appreciative of the suggestion, I had asked Choji as Shikamaru had said.
I nod to myself, finished observing the bag, "How much?" Reaching into my wallet, revealing quite the overload of money.
He gives me a closed-eyed smile, raising his wrapped hand just slightly, "It's okay! You're my teammate."
Pausing, I chew the inside of my cheek in thought. I have to repay his deed in some fashion.
Perhaps my repenting could be my skill set as a teammate? Yes, that'll do to calm this 'favor returning' obsession of mine.
"I see..." Placing my wallet back in its place, I open the pouch by its little string, unveiling a ton of tiny small orbs.
Pulling on one singular pill, a brown shade, it looks to have a small film over it, shining when I turn it in different angles.
Asuma peers down over my shoulder, as do the others at the miniature circular pill. "Are you gonna try them now Akari?"
Nodding silently, I raise my unoccupied hand, lifting my mask just slightly, creating a tiny gap between the mask and my skin.
As the smooth pill touches my lips, my body jolts as I feel a harsh vibration erupt in my body.
No
Jolting, my lips do not covet the adrenaline enhancer. My pupils glance from side to side as I question myself.
That was not my voice, or at least, not the voice I hear in my head regularly. It is a woman's voice, deep, booming back and forth within my skull. Why would it decline if I was wanting this?
Asuma looks to me, or more so, the whole squad as they notice my very tiny pause.
"Something wrong?" Glancing up at the tall, burly man, I lightly shake my head. "Thought I'd heard something is all."
I lift my mask a little bit, creating a small gap again, once small enough to fit my pointer and thumb through.
Feeling the pill and my lips adjoin once again, I rub off my last encounter, those words could have certainly been my imagination.
