Chapter 22

Emma's POV

I was finally free from the hospital and I was back at school after a month or so homework really pails up, but Belle and Mary-Margaret are helping me. I was at my locker with Belle and Mary-Margaret and I saw Killian, but he stopped at Regina's locker. They talked for awhile and then he came over to me.

"Why were you talking to Regina?" I ask him.

"Oh that? I was just asking her to take it easy on you. I just got you back." He says and kisses my head.

"Are you sure thats what it was about?" I ask.

"Emma, I love you. Im so happy your safe. I just want all those who have caused you pain to not want to cause more." He says.

I wanted to believe him so bad, but something was keeping me from believing him. At lunch I sat with my group of friends and saw Killian with Regina again. What was happening? Killian noticed I was staring and he came over to me.

"You know if you want to dump me and date her Im okay with it." I say.

"Swan.. Its not that I swear. Look Regina and I have a project for a class and we were just discussing it thats all." He says.

I looked him and I knew he was lying to me. He isnt lying about he loves me, but he is lying about what he and Regina were up to. I needed to know what their hiding.

"Hey you wanna come over after school?" I ask him.

"Sure Swan. I'd love too." He says.

"Awesome. You can ride home with Regina, Zelena, and I." I say.

"Cool." He says.

After school we went to my car and Zelena sat in the passenger seat so Killian and Regina were in the back. Both on their phones and would look at each other ever few seconds. I just wanted to either kill myself or kill Regina. Once we got to the house Killian and I went into my room and I pushed him on top of my bed and climbed on top of him.

"Your so hot." I say unbuttoning his shirt.

"No. Swan.. Get up." He say moving me off him.

"Wait.. What? You dont want me that way?" I ask.

"Trust me Swan I want you, but not like this. Not while your acting all jealous over this Regina thing. Thats not how I want to do this." He says.

"Why must you lie to me about what you and Regina are up to?" I ask.

"Fine. I shouldnt lie to you Swan. Regina and I are trying to find out what the secret that my dad and her mom have that almost killed you. We didnt want you to know because we dont want you to get hurt again. Also Regina isnt as bad as you think." He says.

I looked him in the eyes again and I knew he was telling the truth. He buttoned his shirt again. What is the big secret that almost killed me?
