"Been a long time, Seung-won." A woman stood up and gave him a hug.

"You haven't changed a bit."

"Just the wrinkles here and there. Aging is something inevitable."

"You're here for him, aren't you?"

"Still the straightforward Seung-won I've known." She said. "Have a seat."

They both sat adjacent to each other in a private room of a well-known restaurant.

"We haven't heard from you for so long. You're not part of his life... because you haven't made him part of yours." His face was voided with emotion.

"You know why I had to leave him behind."

"Because wealth was more important than us."

"That's not true."

He chuckled bitterly.

"Mama's dying. That was what I was made to believe... only to find out few years after that they have lied to me. They've lied about Mama's sickness. And it was too late for me to back out from what I have agreed. I was already married to someone else."

"There's no reason why my son needs to know about you."

"He's also my son, Seung-won. I need him in my life, too."

"You should have thought of that when Jiyong was just growing up. He doesn't know anything about you."

"Why not let him decide."

"My wife won't be happy to hear you're back. Our family's living a quite and simple life, Hyun Jung. Please, don't ruin it."

"I've no intention of doing that. I swear. Just let me see my son."

"He's gone missing."

"What do you mean he's gone missing?"

"He left the house and never come back. He's been missing for 2 months now."

"What happened? Why aren't you properly taking care of our son?"

"Look who's talking."

She tried to calm down, takin a deep breath before exhaling.

"We think he's with a girl."

"Why does it seem like a familiar scenario to me?"

"He's old enough to take responsibility for his actions."

"This girl he's with. Who?... Are you against their relationship?"

"Jiyong's dating Yeunsuk Park's daughter before he went missing.

"Yeunsuk Park? You mean the old man Park?"

He nodded.

"So it's him who's against their relationship?"

"She's set to be married to another man."

She rolled her eyes. "Why does it always end up that way?"

"I don't know. You tell me."

"You know why... But my son shouldn't be treated as trash."

"Just like how I was treated?"

"Seung-won, I had no choice."

"And you're saying Jiyong has?"

"I'm here. I'll not let anyone treat him that way. I'll let my connections do the work. We'll find him."

Seung-won went in deep thinking. 'Should I give Jiyong the privilege of getting the things he was deprived of when he was growing up?'
