"Adrian," Vince was in his room. There were papers scattered all around the floor, empty coffee stained cups on the table and Adrian's eyes were glued to the computer screen. "you've been up for hours."

"If you're gonna tell me that I need sleep, just turn around and leave."

"We are going to find her."

"How are we going to find her Vince?" He raised his voice and looked at him. His eyes were red and Vince didn't mean to read his mind to understand his frustration. "I can't track her phone. I can track anything Vince and I can't track her phone."

"Adrian−

"I can't lose Cate." He said more to himself. "It was hard enough losing Kai. I can't lose Cate too."

"Listen she..." He paused and began rubbing his eyes. "She− she's gonna be fine."

"Are you ok?"

His breathing was heavier. "I'm fine."

"Vince?" Adrian walked up to him.

"It's ok, you get some rest ok." He said leaning on the door and squinting.

"Vince what's wrong?" He asked holding him for support. "Dude you're hot. Your skin feels like it's on fire."

"I just need to take a cold shower and a rest myself. I'll see you later." He said and stumbled out of the room. Before Adrian could close his door I held it back.

"Jennifer, what's wrong?"

"There was another body." I said to him. "Cause of death was the same as the last time."

He looked as though he was struck with worry and pain. "Did you see the body?"

"Yea, a brunette female, kinda tall, dark skin." I explained. "Why?"

He sighed. "I thought it−

"You thought it was Cate." I said. "Ian told me. Don't worry, we'll find her."

"I hope it's not too late." He said. "We're out of coffee. I'm gonna go get some."

"Be careful." I said and hugged him before he left.

"It's a little late for caffeine isn't it?" The waitress raised her perfectly shaped eyebrows while placing the cup of steaming coffee on his table.

"Thanks." He replied giving her a polite but unhappy smile. He didn't wait for the coffee to cool down. The scorching beverage went down his throat and in less than a minute he was calling the waitress but someone else appeared.

"Hello." The woman addressed him. She wore a long violet dress and her hair was swooped up into a bun.

"Uh, are you another waitress or something?" He asked confused as he looked around the empty coffee shop.

"I am not here to deliver you coffee Chosen One."

"As much as Chosen One sounds like something I'd like to be called, I kinda go by Adrian. It's a bit more normal don't you think?" He said. "Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll be going now." He stood up.

"You are not going anywhere until we are done here." She shoved him back down onto the chair.

He laughed. "Look lady, as much as I'd like to sit and chat with a lovely looking woman like you, I've got a lot on my mind right now and I need to leave."

"I know, your girlfriend is missing." She sat opposite him.

"How do you−

"You're not the only the mind reader here." She said. "Now down to serious business." She handed him a piece of paper.
