February 19th, 1924.

Bellevue Hospital Centre, Manhattan.

"What about this one?" The nurse asked checking her clipboard.

"Hepatitis b, it's bad." The doctor replied looking a bit saddened. "He's only nineteen."

"It says here that he's been on the waiting list for quite a while."

"It's been too long. I don't think he's gonna get a donor." Doctor Fiche touched his face. "He can kiss that transplant goodbye. I don't think he'll make it much longer."

"That's really sad," the nurse tried to conceal her tears. "You're needed in the theater now doctor."

Together they left the room. They left him sleeping....they left him dying.

She walked quietly into the cold room after they had left. The needle was buried deep under her jacket ensuring its security. When she came close to the bed she sat down at the edge. He looked worst today. She could tell he was going to die soon. But she couldn't let that happen. From what she was told he was a nice guy; a guy who didn't deserve to die yet. A guy who was meant to stay alive and live the rest of his life the way he always wanted to. She tried to read his thoughts but there was nothing to read. His mind was completely empty while his body was overflowing with pain.

As she took the needle out she remembered the girl who had given it to her; the girl who informed her about this boy. The girl who wanted to save his life so much that if she was able to she would've donated her liver for his transplant. Jennifer didn't ask who she was. She was just happy to aid in helping the guy. After all, all the information Jennifer received from this girl was that it was her job to help him. Jennifer had filled the needle with her venom just like the girl had instructed.

"You're gonna be ok." She whispered to him while she injected the needle into the IV tube and watched as it went up to his veins. This was supposed to be easy. But things didn't turn out right. At first his fingers began to twitch slowly but then they went so fast that Jennifer stood up and away. His head moved from side to side and his breathing was hard and rapid. This wasn't the first time Jennifer had turned someone, but this was the first time she was alone when she did it. Also, she had never seen someone react to it this way.

After a few minutes he stopped moving. She thought it had failed. Maybe the venom killed the guy. Sometimes it does that. But just as she was about to touch him his eyes flew open and he stared at her with bright scorching yellow pupils.

"You're gonna be fine. Just relax ok." She tried to calm him. "Come with me." She reached for his hand but his claws scratched her fingers and he growled angrily at her. When she looked down at her hands they were bloody but she knew they would heal later. "You−

She began saying to the guy but he was no longer standing in the room. Someone was approaching the room but she had no time to stay and chat. In less than a couple seconds Jennifer was out the window and trying to catch a scent of the newborn wolf that was on the loose.

He got to the house in about five minutes. The lights were out which meant that everyone were asleep. At first he tried turning the knob on the door but his anger and impatience escalated quickly causing him to throw himself through the glass windows and land directly in the living room.

"What the hell?" The woman came running down the stairs first followed by her husband. They both paused at the bottom of the staircase at the sight of the figure standing in their dark living room.

"Who is it?" The man asked.

At first there was silence. Then he spoke.

"You left me." He said very quietly.

"What did you say?" The man asked holding his wife's hand.

"You left me." He whispered. "You left me!" He yelled facing the window; his back towards them.

"Who are you and what are you talking about?" It was the woman who spoke.

The fact that she couldn't recognize his own voice made him angrier. His eyes burned yellow again and his breathing became faster. The claws stuck out of his fingertips and new teeth burst through his gums.

"You left me there so long you can't recognize me?"

"Get out of this house now. Now!" The man shouted coming off the staircase and walking towards him.

"Recognize me?" He finally turned in their direction and showed them his face. The woman was the first to gasp but it was too late for amends. In a flash his claws ripped into the skin of the man's neck causing him to drop on the floor; blood spraying out of him. He stooped on the floor next to the man and traced his claws on his face down to his neck where he gripped onto him tight and pulled his head off of his body.

With that the woman let out a loud scream which made him stand up and walk slowly to her.

"Please don't." She cried stepping backwards.

"Don't beg." He said passing his bloody hands in her hair as she became trapped between him and the wall.

"Aiden please don't do this." She trembled closing her eyes.

"Now you know who I am?" He asked tugging hard on her hair. "Now you know?"

"Please, you don't understand. Let me explain."

"There is no explanation in the world you could give to me to stop me from killing you."

"It is not as it seems, please?" She begged.

He didn't say a word. He slowly placed his hand on her chest and pressed it tight enough to feel her heartbeat. She thought it was an act of love and placed her hand on his while giving him a small smile. Looking into her eyes he never returned the smile. Instead, he continued to stare into his mother's eyes while the hand that was once feeling the life beat inside of her, dug into her chest and tore her heart out.

Aiden watched as his mother's body fell to the floor; silent tears running down his face. As he walked out of the room he stumbled on his father's dead body without looking down at it. He left the house and never looked back taking nothing but a new found feeling of endless, painful, inseparable guilt with him.

Present Day:

"Hey, where are you?" Adrian asked on the other end of the phone.

"I'm at the plaza. I'm meeting Avalon." Cate said looking around. "We're hanging out today. Oh I see her; I'll talk to you later ok."

"Ok, have fun." He said hanging up.

When she hung up Avalon was standing in front of her with a huge smile. "You two just can't get enough of each other can you?"

"What do you mean?" Cate asked as they walked.

"You and Adrian, the inseparable lovers." She laughed. "Come on I wanna show you something." Avalon said leading the way to the back of a building. Cate followed her all the way to the back where there was no one but a single black car.

"Avalon, why are we here?" She asked. "What do you wanna show me?"

"Do you trust me Cate?"

"Yes, I do."

"Well," She smiled turning to Cate. "You shouldn't." She said just before stabbing the needle into Cate's neck.
