Danger -part 2-

Harry's P.O.V.

When I awoke I was lying alone in bed. Emma had already gone to college. I really needed to talk to her, to talk about everything. I sighed and got out of bed listless. Look at the clock and it showed half past ten. The morning sun warming my skin. Emma's scent was in all the room.

Alina was supposed to pick up Ariel at eight. That meant I was alone at home. I went downstairs and entered the kitchen. I smiled when I saw the breakfast plate on the table...

Emma's P.O.V.

"Do not you think Miss Smith?... Miss Smith!"

I returned to the real world when I hear the scream of my chemistry teacher. I looked up from my book and saw him, frowning at me. Everyone eyes in the room were watching me. I was sitting in the front row, in front of the teacher desk. Many murmured and the girl next to me looked at me, waiting for me to say something. I felt my cheeks flushing because everyone's attention was on me. Mr. Thomson cleared his throat causing me to look again to him.

"I'm sorry, what did you say?" I asked embarrassed.

He sighed and accommodated his glasses on top of his nose.

"Please pay attention Miss Smith."

He turned and continued writing on the board while explaining. I tried to pay attention, but I just couldn't. I had my eyes fixed on the board while automatically copying the letters in my notebook, but I was far away from Mr. Thomson's chemistry class.

I was lost in the depths of my mind, that place where all my problems would gather torture me. On my mind was going the discussion with Harry over and over again. And I had a bad feeling, a very bad feeling growing in my chest. That kind of bad feeling that would send chills Dow my spine, through all my body.

The chemistry class finally ended and Mr. Thomson began to tell us the homework. I left the room trying to get my books, so they don't fall. I started walking through campus, staring at the floor. I had to go home, but didn't want to have another discussion with Harry. I don't want to think about this entire problem because the more I think about it the more I wish I hadn't stayed.

"Emma! A voice behind me made me stop in the middle of the campus.

I turned and saw Trevor running towards me. His hair flying with the air and a smile forming on his lips. They all looked at us as if this was a romantic scene from a film based on one of Nicholas Sparks' books. I made a face. I wasn't in the mood to be with him, or anyone. I just wanted to go home, talk to Harry, try not to keep thinking about this and finish preparing dinner for tonight. Trevor stopped in front of me. He gave me a warm and sweet smile and I gave him the best smile I could put on my lips.

"You dropped this." He said handing me my chemistry notebook. I mumbled a "thank you" and I started to walk away.

"Emma, wanna go to take a coffee with me?"

God! Didn't he understand that it I'm not in the mood to bear his flirts? I knew he liked me, half college of pharmaceutical chemistry and medicine knew, but he was nice and I especially loved doing projects with him for the simple fact that he really helped me make them. But I wasn't in the mood to face Harry and talk about Alina, Ariel and all the problems in which we were sinking. Of all the problems that were breaking our relationship with each word.

“Okay, but take me home before six.” I said calculating the time I will need to finish dinner.

“Okay.” He said and helped me with my books.

“Thanks.” I said climbing off Trevor’s’ car with my bag on my shoulder.

“See you tomorrow.” He said with a flirt smile before speeding off.

I saw the gray car going away. The cold air running through my body. I zipped up my jacket. I looked at the tall building. The sky had clouded over suddenly. That bad danger feeling came over to me again. I went in and greet the doorman. He waved back and I press the button on the wall. Seconds later the elevator doors opened. I pressed my floor button. The doors closed. I looked at the numbers changing on the small screen on the wall and my fear grew more.

The doors opened. Walked up to my door and I realized that the door was half opened. I took a deep breath and entered. Surely Harry had forgotten to lock the door. I put my backpack on the chair and took off my jacket and shoes. I went to the kitchen and took out the dinner I had started doing yesterday. I turned on the oven and waited until it heated up, and then put the food in. I hold my hair with an elastic band and started humming a song as I finished preparing everything.

I heard a small moan on the second floor. I frowned. I looked at the clock that showed half past five. Harry and Ariel should be here. I climbed up the stairs and walked to the guest room, which was Ariel’s temporal room. Another moan. I walked faster and opened the door. My eyes filled with tears when I saw what was happening...

Alina pressed a pillow against Ariel’s face. She moaned trying to breathe, while moving her little hands. Alina's eyes darkened. Without thinking I took the Jar that was on the bedside table and I hit Alina in the head, who fell fainting to the floor. The blood running through her head.

I took Ariel in my arms and ran to the room that Harry and I shared. I locked the door and snuggled in a corner with Ariel against my chest, making sure she was okay. The tears would not stop running down my cheeks...

Harry’s P.O.V.

I opened the apartment door as I laughed and joked with the guys. The house was in absolute silent. I saw Emma’s things on the couch and her phone switched showing all messages I had sent her. I walked into the kitchen and turned off the oven which had already begun to draw smoke. The guys looked at me and I shrugged, baffled by what happened. Had Emma fallen asleep? God! What would have happened if the apartment had caught fire with her inside? I shook my head, making away those thoughts. I frowned and went upstairs. The guys followed me.All seemed quiet, too quiet...

“Harry.” Zayn called me from the guest’s room door.

I walked towards him and saw Alina lying on the floor with pieces of Emma's favorite jar across the floor. I approached her. She was breathing. She was unconscious, not dead. I got up and protective instinct mixed with adrenaline made me run to my room. The door was locked. I tried to open the door, but I couldn’t. I stepped back a bit and kicked, opening the door.

Emma was in a corner of the room sobbing, while rocking Ariel in her arms.

“Emma, love, what happened?” I asked sitting next to her and wrapping my arms around her, bring her to my chest.

“Sh-She tried to kill Ariel.” She whispered…
