Where there was fire, ashes remain

Emma's P.O.V.

I saw the huge clock on the blue wall of the stadium. It was almost ten, at night, and I did not want to go home. I knew Harry would be there and my brothers would ask me for an explanation, and then kick Harry out of the house.

And maybe Harry would end up with a black eyes and I with a ban to see him for the rest of my life. No tears were falling down my face yet. Perhaps I am still in shock. And despite all the anger that my body had to him, I did not want my brothers to beat him to death.

I heard the clock hands marking each passing minute. And I just wanted to go back in time and I don't want to feel all this pain. I wanted to disappear of this planet. Forget everything and everyone. That was what I wanted. The only sound was the "tick-tock" of the clock and my faltering breathing. I hug my legs against my chest, remembering what just happened a few hours before...

~*~*~*~*~

I was waiting for Harry. I was leaning against the wall of the main recording room while I texted Logan and laughed at the stupid and funny things he texted me back. I look at the time. Harry had already taken too much. I had seen the other guys leave the studio some minutes ago. What the hell was Harry doing in the recording room?

I began to walk through the halls of the building. I slip my phone in to my denim shorts pocket. I smiled politely to all the people that greeted me. I passed in front of a black door half closed and Harry's voice came to my ears. I harshly stopped and go back a few steps until I reach the door. I peeked a little and just felt like the whole world came over me.

Harry and Alina kissing. Alina with her arms around his neck, trying to make the kiss deeper. Harry with one of his hands on her waist and the other on Alina's hand was resting on his neck. Harry gently pushed her away from him, breaking the kiss. I stepped back in shock. I crashed with the wall and they turned to see me.

A cynical smile on Alina’s face and Harry's big green eyes wide open, in surprise. I left the room listening how Harry called me as he followed me. I quicken my steps so he would not catch me up. I did not want to hear anything that he has to say. Everything inside of me was upside down, and not the best way. My eyes stinging because of the tears that wanted to came out of my eyes

I entered to the first door I found and locked myself in. I rest my back against the door and slid down to the floor. I hugged my legs and cuddle. I was suddenly very cold and could not even move. Tears ran down my face as I pressed my lips together to keep me from sobbing. I wasn't strong enough to try to hold back tears. That disgusting picture on my mind. My breathing was irregular. Harry began to knock on the door.

"Emma open the door!"

"You broke your promise! Leave me alone! Don't talk to me, don't look after me, I don't want to hear you! Just... Just go" I said between sobs.

I knew he would not leave. I knew he was there, behind that door. After a few minutes I could control my breathing and stop my tears. I wiped the last tears with the sleeve of my jacket. I breathe deeply. I knew that my eyes were swollen and red, but I did not care.

With trembling hand I unlatch the door. I pursed my lips and closed my hands into fists before leaving the room. I walk without even looking at him. I felt how he took me from the arm. I turned and looked into his eyes. He said nothing. I take my gaze to his hand on my arm and he losses his grip gently.

"Emma... I..."

"Don't say anything." I interrupted him. "Happy anniversary." I said dryly while giving him the little box with the chain I bought him.
