Big mistakes create big pains...

Emma's P.O.V.

"Emma, I told you to go to bed!" Anne said frowning at me.

"It's okay... The pain is almost gone." I told her, trying to walk without falling down.

She stared at me. If looks could kill ... I dropped heavily to the sofa. It was a sunny and beautiful Saturday. I breathe deeply the scent of autumn that was permeated in the air. My right leg was aching and was dizzy because of the shot. Anne sighed heavily before handing me a glass of water. I smiled and before she went angrier I drank the water.

“Harry did not have to tell you that I hit myself. Richard was going to take me to the doctor this afternoon” I whispered.

“Well, I have taken you to the doctor. Also, cutie, I had realized you could barely walk. And you didn’t hit yourself... Logan dropped you.”

That was true. Logan had dropped me during ice skating practice and my leg hurt so much I could not even walk. Logan had taken me home and I tried to walk normally in front of Harry and Anne ... But let's say I'm no good pretending that I'm fine. I gave her a smirk. Anne was so sweet, but sometimes stubborn ... Like Harry.

The front door of the apartment opened. Harry came in and raised an eyebrow at me. I smiled innocently. He kissed the Anne’s cheek and approached to me. I felt like a little girl. The two stared at me and I just played with my fingers, biting my lower lip, trying to control the pain that was gradually decreasing.

“Shouldn’t you be in bed?” He asked me.

“Hi Emma, how are you?” I said in a deep voice like Harry’s.

“Don’t change the topic.”

I rolled my eyes. He shook his head and gave me a kiss on the forehead. He sat next to me and hugged me. I a grimace appeared in my face and a groan of pain escaped my lips as he wrapped his arm around my waist. He quickly removed his arm. I rested my head on his shoulder. Harry gave me his best "I'm sorry" face. He gently he picked me up and put me on his lap.

I buried my face in his neck and he began to sing, his lips against my hair, “Do not let me, do not let me, do not let me go 'cause I'm tired of feeling alone…” The doorbell rang and Anne left the kitchen. I moved away a little from Harry to see who it was. Anne opened the door and I thought I would faint when I hear that voice.

“Hi Anne. Is Harry here?”

“Yeah sure.”

Anne stepped aside and let her in. I made a gesture to get up from Harry's lap but my leg pain made me sit again. I wanted the earth to swallow me at the time. Alina had a half smile on her lips and her eyes reflected fear, a lot of fear. My heart was racing, beating a mile per minute. I felt dizzy and the heat on my body consumed me alive.

“Can we talk?” She asked with he red eyes staring at Harry.

“Sure.” Harry said frowning.

She stayed silent and looked at me for a few seconds before turning to see Harry. He nodded; gently he put me on the sofa and started walking towards the study. Alina followed him with her eyes on her feet and her hands moving nervously. He opened the door. She came in and Harry closed the door behind him. My breath quickened. What was doing her here? What wanted her? Anne stared at the closed door, just like me. The question was buried in my mind.

The minutes passed and I felt like it was an eternity. I tried not to think the worst... But if it wasn’t the worst, why is she here? And after an eternity the white door opened. Harry came out and walked towards us. His face was expressionless and his eyes were cold like ice. A chill ran down my spine, to all my body. It was the first time that I looked Harry like this. He never had that look so... Cold and hard. For the first time Harry’s eyes terrified me. I sank into the chair.
