Life as a siphoner is a mixture of amazing and also kind of lame. Don't get me wrong, I love being a siphoner, but if I'm in trouble and there none of my friends around me, I'm useless.
"Hey Milton." I smiled at my best friend and longtime crush.
"Oh, hey Y/n, what's up?"
"I was just wondering what you were doing today."
"Oh, Landon, raf and I are going to see my parents."
"Oh that's nice."
"Yeah. Do you wanna come with?"
"Yeah I'd love to." I smiled happily at him and walked with him to the boys.
"Okay, y/n is coming along with us." MG announced to them.
I high fived Raf and Landon and we all left.
It took us a while to get there but eventually we did.
My heart broke as his dad called him a monster.
We could all three hear the nasty things his dad was saying.
I walked up behind him as was compelling his dad.
He grabbed my hand and vampire sped me out.
I held his hand and rubbed my thumb against his. "You're an amazing person Milton, don't listen to what he says." I whispered to him.
"Can we just go back?"
"Of course."
On our way back, things did t go as planned.
The guy we're all arguing and being mean.
"Could you guy just shut the hell up!? I'm so tired of all your toxic masculinity!"
I took another step and heard a metal clank.
I felt unbearable pain in my leg, so I fell to the ground and screamed.
I saw MG in front of me and my leg was in a bear trap.
"Milton, get it off, please!" I laid back and focused on my breathing and not the pain.
He opened the bear trap and tossed it to the side.
"I'm gonna be sick" Landon mumbled before turning around.
"Is it bad?" I looked up at it and was crying again.
MG bit his wrist and I drank his blood, letting it heal my leg.
It made me feel tingly.
"Thank you." I hugged MG and we all continued on our trip home.
It got dark so we all decided to sleep.
It was kind of chilly, so I shivered, causing MG to put his arm around me.
I woke up to screaming.
I saw Landon on the ground, dead.
"What the hell happened!?" I crouched down next to Landon body.
Nobody was saying anything, and I noticed Raf was turning.
"Raf, Raf, look at me," I stood in front of Raphael and tried calming him down, but his best friend just died.
He snapped my neck and everything went black for a while.
Until I woke up.
It was still nighttime, but everything was different.
I saw Milton leaning against a tree stump, struggling to breathe.
"Milton," I ran over to him and fell next to him on my knees.
I saw claw marks.
"He didn't- he wouldn't..."
I looked at MG.
"He snapped your neck."
"I'm okay. What happened?"
"I accidentally killed Landon. I was hungry and I can't control myself around human blood, you know that- I-I didn't mean to kill him."
"I know, I know you didn't mean to, how long ago was that?"
"18 hours."
"You have to drink, or you'll die."
"I'm fine for now, I'm not leaving you." I held his hand.
After a couple hours, the sun was starting to come up.
"You need to go, the light is going to burn you now."
"I'm not leaving you, Milton."
"I'm dead anyway, you should at least survive."
"You're not dead yet. You wont be dead any time soon okay. They're coming. I know they are."
"Can I tell you something?" He asks.
"Of course." I snuggled up to him.
"I've liked you since I first got here."
"Really? I smiled. "I've liked you too."
He started laughing hysterically.
"Why does someone always have to be dying just for two people to confess their feelings?" He laughed at the cliche.
"Milton Greasely, in case we do die, I want you to know that everything your dad said was not true. You're not a monster, you're a beautiful person, mind, body, and soul. And I'm glad that if anyone turned me, it was you." I kissed his cheek.
After another hour, I heard crunching of leaves and sticks.
I was too weak to look behind us, so I hoped it was Hope and Alaric.
It was.
"Oh my god, y/n, mg." Hope came down to us and gave MG her blood to help her.
However, I was still dying.
"Ric, let her drink your blood. You're the only human here."
"I'm on vervain, she can't drink my blood."
I'm still going to die.
Hope and Raf both went over to landons body.
MG held me bridal style and took me over to them.
His body suddenly cause on fire and out of the ashes, came a Phoenix.
"Can she drink landons blood?" MG asked hopefully.
"What? I just died and came back to life and someone is already drinking my blood."
"Y/n died yesterday, with my blood in her system. Please man."
Landon hastily agreed. "Come here."
I stood up and held myself up with landons help.
I bit his neck and drank some of his blood.
"That's enough." Hope grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back.
"S-Sorry, I didn't know how much I was getting."
"It's okay."
I looked back over to MG and he smiled, so I copied. I ran up and hugged him.
"You said you liked me." I looked at his lips with a toothy smile.
"You said the same thing."
I leaned in and gently kissed him.
"Can you show me how to be a vampire?" I played with his sleeve.
"Yeah." He nodded.
