When you're born, you can't see color until you start falling in love. The deeper you fall, the more colors you can see. I started seeing color the day I met Finn.
It was my first day on set for IT.
Jack and I were already friends from a previous show we did together, so he was introducing me and showing me around.
"Are you excited?"
"A little bit. I'm most excited to meet Finn, the way you talk about him is so nice." I smiled.
"Well wait not longer, because here he is. The man, the myth, the legend: Finn Wolfhard." Jack did jazz hands towards Finn.
The first thing that I noticed when I looked in his eyes, is that that were brown. Not gray like everyone else's. Obviously this distracted me and I stared for too long.
"Is she okay?" Finn laughed and asked jack.
"S-Sorry. I just saw..."
"What?" He looked behind him.
"Um, nothing. I think it was a fly." I lied.
"Okay. Well it was nice meeting you, but I have a read through to get to do I'll see you guys later." He walked off and I sighed.
"What was that about?" Jack asked.
I looked at him. "Nothing, I just thought he had brown eyes..."
"You saw his eye color!?"
"Shh! Yes. I-I don't know why, we just met."
"Maybe it's love at first sight." He joked.
"I don't believe in love at first sight."
"Even though it's been proven by scientists to happen?"
"Where'd you hear that? Twitter?" I joked around with him.
"I'm serious. It only happens like 3% of the time."
"I probably didn't even see brown, I am tired."
"I don't know. I think you two would be great together. I've known both of you for a while now."
"You think so?"
"Yeah. He's in a band. You love singing."
"Not for other people." I chuckled.
"My point is that you guys have at least one thing I. Common."
I shrugged. "i have to get to know him."
Jack smiled evilly. "Jack..."

3 months into filming, and the entire cast is close. We're all best friends and we all love each other. Some more than others. I can tell that Sophia can see some colors, she often stares at the trees and smiles.
I can also see a few colors. Brown, Purple, Blue, and Green.
I think I've done a good job at hiding it pretty well. Nobody has asked me if I could.
"Hey y/n." Finn came up to me and sat next to me on my bed in my trailer.
"Hey Finn, what's up?"
"Which shirt looks better. Blue or Yellow?" He held up two shirts.
"Y-you can see color?"
His eyes widened. "Um... can you?"
"Some. Not yellow. But the blue l-looks really good.
"So you've fallen in love with somebody? Do I know him?" Finn looked at my window.
"Do I know her?"
"I doubt it."
"Yeah same here..." I lied.
I didn't hear a reply so I looked at him, and he was staring at my Green shirt.
"Can you see Green too?"
"Um. Yeah..."
"What can you see?" I asked.
"Blue, yellow, Brown, Red and now Green."
"Wait, you couldn't see green before?"
"I could! I mean, I just started seeing it today when I was talking to her."
I wish he loved me. I wish I was the reason he could see all these colors for the first time.
I began to see the Blue shirt fading. I furrowed my eyebrows and stared at it.
"Y/n?" He snapped me out of my trance.
"What happened?"
"N-nothing. I'm actually going to take a nap before rehearsal later."
"Okay. Sweet dreams." He smiled at me slightly and left my trailer. I pulled out my laptop and started looking up what fading colors mean.
If you are in love and get your heart broken, your colors will begin to fade until they're all gone.
Heartbroken? He hasn't broken My heart. Sure it hurt when I found I wasn't the cause of his love, but heartbroken?
Jack came into my trailer happily without knocking.
"You can see color!?"
"Finn told you already?" I asked.
"Holy shit he was telling the truth. I can't believe this."
"J-Jack I'm sorry, I know he's your best friend, but I can't-"
"You like Finn..."
Shit. Of course he didn't know that part.
"Yes.... but you don't have to worry about it, my- my colors are fading..."
"What? Did he reject you?"
"No he doesn't know I like him. Some random girl I do t know is the cause of his color. And that hurts a lot. I want to be the person who he sees color for."
"You are."
"Stop messing around Jack. You know I'm sensitive."
"I'm serious. He told me like the third week of filming that he woke up the day after the sleepover and he could see your blue shorts."
"S-seriously?"
"Yes! Now go fill the rest of your rainbow."
"That was so cheesy, but yes! I'm going to talk to Finn."
I walked with a smile to his trailer and knocked on the door.
"Hey, I thought you were taking a nap."
This could go extra well.
"The AC in my trailer broke. Can I sleep in your bed?"
"I was about to go to sleep myself but y-yeah."
We both climbed into his bed and kept our distance. I wish he would move closer.
As if he read my mind, he scooted a little closer to me, as if I'd notice if he moved any more.
I closed the gap between us and now his chest was on my back.
I reached back and grabbed his wrist, bringing it over my side. The only way I can say this is if I can't see his face.
"The first time I met you, I saw what brown looked like..."
"I saw blue. That's your eye color, if you didn't know."
"I did. My mom told me what I looked like as far as eye and hair color."
"How many colors can you see?"
"5 or 6. I lost blue."
"You lost blue?"
"Yeah. Whenever the person you... Yeah... breaks your heart you lose a color. I thought some other girl was making you see color."
"It's you. It's been you since we met."
I turned to face him finally.
"I love you, Finn."
"I love you too, y/n."
He leaned in and kissed me. When I opened my eyes, I saw every single color there was.
We both looked around.
"Which one is your favorite?" He asks.
"Either purple or yellow. I love how bright yellow looks. What about you?"
He looked around before looking me in my eyes.
"Still Blue." He smiled which I copied.
I kissed him again and we both fell asleep next to each other.
Colors are so beautiful. I'm so glad I met Finn.
