Day After The First Date,
Sunday
[I Purple You Cafe, 7:00 p.m.]
The day after the first date, the girls meet up for dinner at Purple Cafe in Itaewon. They ordered a huge table of food ranging from cheeseburgers with fries, caesar salad and cheese pizza. They dug into the food before revealing to each other what they truly felt about their dates.
Byulyi: How were your first dates?
Yoojung smiled.
Yoojung: I really enjoyed my day out with Jimin-oppa. I learnt a lot of new things about him and that was really nice.
Byulyi smiled at her.
Byulyi: So what did you and your "Jimin-oppa" do?
Yoojung smiled again as she recalled the wonderful time she had yesterday.
Yoojung: Jimin-oppa was the sweetest the whole day. When we first met, he gave me a muffler & heat pack because he said he thought I might be cold. When I tried to return it later that day, he said it was a gift he bought for me.
Jieun and Byulyi squealed.
Jieun: That's so romantic!
Yoojung laughed.
Yoojung: Throughout the day he also kept taking such good care of me, serving me with meat and wiping food off my mouth for me. He bought me a lot of good food - meat and bingsu, because he knew I liked them. Later on when we went to the arcade, he even won a stuffed toy for me from the claw machine. We also took photos in the photo booth!
Yoojung reached into her bag and pulled out a few photos Jimin and her had taken in the photo booth. They both were doing identical poses in every photo, from peace signs and finger hearts to cupping their faces and looking at each other. Byulyi took over the photos eagerly and squealed. Byulyi: Ahhhh- these two are so cute!!! What am I gonna do!!!
Jieun looked at the photos as well and laughed.
Jieun: You guys can totally become a couple already!
Yoojung blushed and took the photos back.
Yoojung: I really liked the date! I was really comfortable with him too - so we shared a lot of stories with each other.
A troubled expression crawled onto Yoojung's face.
Yoojung: There's something I'm a bit worried about though.
Byulyi: What is it?
Yoojung: He's just simply too perfect.
Byulyi laughed.
Byulyi: What do you mean "too perfect"? Does that even exist?
Yoojung frowned.
Yoojung: I don't know...

Eana: Looks like Yoojung-ssi was way more affected by that than we thought...
[I Purple You Cafe, 7:10 p.m.]
Yoojung brushed her doubts aside and tried to change the topic.
Yoojung: How about you, Byul-unnie? How did your date go?
Byulyi's expression darkened a little.
Byulyi: Well, it was not bad. You know how Seokjin and I were close back in university? We actually fell out because of an incident but kind of had a long talk yesterday and sorted everything out.
Yoojung smiled and clapped her hands gleefully.
Yoojung: That's really good! Good for you guys!
Byulyi: The date was pretty good too - we sat in a really warm tent, talking and eating food that he had prepared which was really tasty and also went for second round at a food tent after that.
Yoojung: Tteokbokki?!
Byulyi laughed but her expression was still dark and unreadable.
Byulyi: Yes, we had your favourite tteokbokki. The main thing is that I don't think he's interested me though, I don't know.
Jieun: Could it just be your own imagination?
Byulyi: Well, we've been friends for so long so it's pretty hard for us to develop that kind of feelings, you know what I mean?
Jieun: Yeah, I totally do. Did you enjoy your date though?
Byulyi smiled slightly.
Byulyi: Yeah, I guess. I still did.
Jieun and Yoojung smiled as well.
Jieun: That's all that matters!
Yoojung: What about Jieun-unnie, how was your date?
Jieun smiled, but it wasn't her usual smile. Something was different - she didn't look genuinely happy but rather, it seemed like she was forcing herself to smile.
Jieun: Well, the date generally went well! I found out a lot of things about him and myself in the process as well.
Yoojung: Woah... He instilled you with self-realisation?
Byulyi laughed.
Byulyi: Yoojung-ah, let Jieun finish her story.
Jieun: We went for a really nice date at a flower garden and had a nice French high-tea brunch there! It was soooo pretty.
Jieun whipped out her phone and showed the other two girls photos of the flower garden she had taken. They exclaimed in delight at how beautiful the flower garden looked. Jieun laughed.
Jieun: Yeah... then after that we visited a bookstore and did a book exchange! The thing is that, however, the book he chose for me was a book that I had read before, but I pretended like I didn't, because he had taken so much time and effort to pick it out for me.
Yoojung gasped.
Yoojung: Oh no! Did you like the book though?
Jieun: Well, to be honest, it wasn't one of my favourites.
The girls laughed.
Jieun: But everything else went well and at night, we kind of had a picnic along Han River... but after talking to him, I don't know. I just felt a little insecure?
Byulyi: Insecure? As in?
Jieun: It's hard to explain... I didn't really feel it from him, like the kind of feeling you get from a guy who likes you a lot?
Byulyi nodded.
Byulyi: Ah... I see what you mean.
Jieun smiled.
Jieun: Yeah! So that was it.

Sangmin: See! We called it, didn't we - I think she doesn't like guys who are not sure of themselves.
RM: Yeah, she did say she liked confident guys from the beginning so I'm pretty sure she felt like Yoongi-ssi wasn't sure of himself enough.
V: What a pity...
[I Purple You Cafe, 7:20 p.m.]
Jieun: Do you guys think we'll be going on another date this upcoming week?
Byulyi: I think so!
Yoojung: Who would you guys want to go on a date with though, for a second date? Jieun thought hard.
Jieun: For me, I think Seokjin-oppa? Even though he has been talking a lot all the time, I feel like getting to know him one-on-one would definitely be a different experience. Maybe I'll get to see different sides to him as well.
Byulyi frowned slightly but forced it into a smile when she realised the other two girls were looking at her.
Byulyi: I know what you mean... What about Yoojung-ie?
Yoojung smiled.
Yoojung: Does it have to be someone else?
Byulyi: No, of course not! If you want a second date with the same person, just say it!
Yoojung played with her hair.
Yoojung: Well, for me... because we only got to interact for one day, I feel like... another date might be... kind of... useful? To get to know him better, I mean.
Byulyi and Jieun laughed.
Jieun: Just say you like Jimin already!
Yoojung: Unnie!
Jieun laughed again.
Jieun: Alright, alright.
Yoojung: What about Byulyi-unnie?
Byulyi hesitated for a long while.
Byulyi: I think I'll need to think hard about this one.

Eana: They're all talking so openly about who they want to date!
Jongshin: Remember on the first night, Yoojung-ssi was so uncomfortable about sharing her feelings with the girls? I'm so glad she's out of her shell now.
V rests his head on his arms which were crossed over the table.
V: I'm so sad... only Yoojung-ssi's date turned out well. The other two were disappointing.
RM pats V on his back.
RM: It's alright, Taehyung-ah. Things will turn for the better.
