*1 month later*
Cassidy's P.O.V.
"STORMY!"
"I'm sorry!" He replied, panicking. "I didn't mean to! I- I jus-"
I tried so hard to hold my laugh in but I couldn't help it. The amount of worry on his face was hilarious.
"You're lucky I'm on birth control." I giggled as I got up and made my way towards the bathroom.
"Oh my god." He said as he sighed a sigh of relief. "Wait- why are you on birth control? Do you really not trust me that much."
"Well you did literally just prove to me that you can't handle yourself.... But no that's not why. I'm on it because without it i turn into the world's biggest bitch when my time of the month rolls around." I stated as I turned on the shower.
"Girls actually get birth control just for their periods?" He curiously asked as he came into the bathroom. "That's weird..."
I laughed at his statement. The one thing that hasn't changed about Stormy is his undying curiosity.
"Care to join?" I asked as I stepped into the shower.
His eyes widened.
"Seeing you naked AND wet? I better not..." He said. "I just might fall in love.... I'll use the shower down the hall."
"If you say so..."
I stayed in for about a good 30 minutes and when I cane out I saw Stormy sitting on the bed, staring down at his phone.
I sat down next to him to see what it was that he was so focused on.
I looked at his phone and saw a picture of a kid.
"He's adorable." I said. "And he looks just like you. How old is he now?"
"He's 5. Turning 6 in a week."
"I know its been hard...." I said.
"Of course it has. I haven't seen or even talked to my kid in over a year."
"Tell me about him." I insisted.
He laughed slightly then smiled.
"He's a good kid. Never gets in trouble. Has a very playful personality. Loves being a little comedian which he's good at. Will go out of his way to make someone smile even if its a complete stranger. The most innocent kid you'll ever meet."
"Sounds a lot like you. Well, except for the innocent and never gets in trouble parts."
"Wait- so are you finally admitting that you think I'm funny?"
"What? No..."
"I think you're totally admitting it."
"Nope. You're not funny."
"Not even a little?"
"Nope."
"Oh well." He shrugged his shoulders. "I still think you're pretty."
"Aww how swee-"
"Pretty ugly." He stated as he pushed me. "Fuck off of my bed."
"Stormy!" I exclaimed as I fell onto the ground.
He started to laugh then eventually helped me up.
"That wasn't funny."
"I thought it was pretty funny."
"Kaiser!" I heard Journey yell from downstairs.
"Well I guess that's my que to leave." I giggled.
"Aw, so soon?"
"Stormy I've been in here all night."
"Fair enough..."
I made my way downstairs to see what the problem was this time. I heard Kaiser's laugh coming from the den accompanied by Journey's frustrated groans.
I walked in and was about to ask what happened but I didn't have to.
Kaiser was rolling around on the couch, covered in mud.
Journey quickly picked him up.
"Fun!" He exclaimed.
Then I heard Sonny yell from the living-room.
"Morgan!"
Seconds later he walked in with Morgan over his shoulder who also happened to be covered in mud.
Morgan and Kai looked at eachother and laughed.
"There's mud all over the carpet." Said Sonny.
"And the couch." Journey added.
"Where's Rome and Grayson?" I asked.
"In the garage." Sonny answered.
I stormed into the garage, pissed that they weren't doing what they were supposed to.
"Roman! Grayson! You two were supposed to be watching after Morgan and Kai!" I yelled.
"But they were just watching TV..." Said Grayson.
"Well now they're covered in mud and have it all over the floor and couch!"
They looked at eachother in disappointment.
"You two should be disappointed! I gave you the simple task of watching over your brother and Morgan and you can't even do that!"
"Maybe if you weren't screwing Stormy we wouldn't have to...." Rome mumbled.
That took me way by surprise.
I didn't know whether to feel angry, shocked, or guilty.
Even though it'd been almost a year and a half, Rome and Gray still weren't completely over River and I separating. So I didn't hold it against him when he threw that at me.
"Just please do what I say next time." I replied as I turned and walked away.
As I turned to walk into the kitchen I bumped into River who was walking out.
"Sorry." He said then tried to keep walking but I grabbed his arm to stop him.
"You haven't said a word to me for the past month." I stated.
He shrugged his shoulders and tried to walk away again but I wouldn't let go of his arm.
"You've been really rude lately..."
"And that's new to you?" He asked.
"No but its a different kind of rude. Its like you're avoiding me completely. Can we just talk?"
"There's nothing to talk about."
"Actually there's a lot to talk about but I just wanna know why you refuse to talk to me all of a sudden."
"Because I don't have a reason to."
"River we have a son and daughter together. That's definitely a reason to talk."
"Are they hurt?"
"No..."
"Is anything wrong with them?"
"No...."
"Well then no we don't have a reason to talk."
He yanked his arm away and started walking away again...
Which pissed me off.
I was so fed up with him at that point.
So I grabbed his arm again and spun him around as hard as I could to face me.
"WHY ARE YOU BEING SUCH A DICK!? EVER SINCE YOU SAID THOSE THINGS TO ME YOU'VE BEEN NOTHING BUT A FUCKING JACKASS! IF ANYTHING I SHOULD BE THE ONE BEING A JERK TO YOU BUT I'M NOT! YOU'RE TREATING ME LIKE SHIT FOR NO REASON!"
"I don't have to associate with you at all. We're not together." He calmly replied.
"WE WEREN'T TOGETHER BEFORE YOU LASHED OUT ON ME EITHER YET WE STILL TALKED AND GOT ALONG!"
"Cassidy I don't wanna do this right now...."
"I DON'T CARE RIVER! I'M SO SICK OF YOU! I'M TIRED OF YOU PRETENDING LIKE I DON'T EXIST! PRETENDING LIKE NOTHING EVER HAPPENED BETWEEN US!"
"FORGET THAT ANYTHING EVER HAPPENED BETWEEN US!" He snapped.
That hit like a wrecking ball...
"What?" I asked, all anger suddenly gone.
"I didn't stutter...." He said.
"How do you expect me to forget the most important part of my life...."
"Its easy. I've already done it."
And boom. There it was. The last thing I wanted to hear come out of his mouth.
"What is Candice putting in your head?"
"What?"
"She has to be telling you something because this isn't the River I know. I don't even know who you are anymore."
"Candice has nothing to do with this. This is my call, not hers."
"Listen River, I know you don't love me anymore but that won't ever change the way I feel about you." I said, feeling myself start to get emotional. "You're shutting me out completely and trying to erase me from your life and its the worst feeling ever because you changed my life. You helped me get through so much and you were always there for me even when I didn't deserve it. At this point I don't even care if we get back together I just want you to acknowledge me. To tell me that you still care."
"Cassidy you don't need me."
"Do you still care?"
He stared into my eyes but didn't say anything.
"River..... Do you still care?"
He turned his attention towards the ground then walked away.
"Why are you walking away?"
"Because you won't like my answer."
"Would you care if I died?" I asked, letting my emotions get to me.
He stopped walking and looked over at Sehrem who was standing and watching us argue just like everyone else was.
Then I did the stupidest thing I could think of. I genuinely don't know why I did it. It was as though I completely blacked out and someone else took over my body
I turned and ran towards the front door, opened it, and sprinted across the lawn and out of the gate that was luckily open.
Tears streamed down my face as I raced towards the busy street, overrun with sadness.
I couldn't believe I was doing this.
As a crapload of vehicles were heading in my direction I waited until they were close enough......
Then I ran into the street.
I turned my head and just as I saw my life flash before my eyes, I closed them.
And as soon as I did I heard what sounded like an explosion that sent me flying to the sidewalk on the other side of the street.
"Apollo!" I heard Raes yell.
After regaining my vision, I looked in the direction of the house and saw Raes and Sehrem racing out of the gates.
Then I looked over at the street where I was originally standing and saw River kneeling down in the middle of it as if he was in pain.
Then I saw the cars....
There were cars flipped over, on fire, and two were almost completely destroyed.
River stood up and made his way towards me though having a hard time doing so.
Once he got to me he fell onto his knees, then onto his back as he held his head and chest in pain.
I didn't even know what was going on.... Let alone how to react. I looked around and saw that some people had gotten out of their destroyed cars and were clearly injured but were staring at River in disbelief.
"River...." I said.
"Please dont ever do that again...." He said in between breaths. "Dont-"
He couldn't finish what he was about to say as he yelled and grunted in pain.
Raes and Sehrem rushed towards us.
Raes grabbed River and helped him up as Sehrem took out his phone.
"This is bad this is bad this is bad..." Sehrem repeated.
"What just happened?" I asked.
"He almost killed himself trying to save you." Said Raes.
"Kratos! Come quick." Said Sehrem, talking into his phone. "Have the jet ready at the rift in Marseilles. We have to leave today. Now."
After a moment of pausing he continued speaking.
"Lets just say Apollo just sent 14 vehicles flying into the air and crashing back into the ground. It was too much for him. He overwhelmed himself. We have to get him to the rift. Just meet us there. We can't wait another month we must leave as soon as we can. Too many people saw it."
After getting off the phone with Cato he helped Raes get River back inside the gates.
Jordan, Sonny, and all of the others were standing in shock.
"How did he do that?" Asked AJ.
"We'll explain later just pack your things." Sehrem said. "All of you. Get packed up and ready to go. We're leaving in half an hour."
I still couldn't comprehend what was happening.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to comprehend it either.
