"Stop walking and tell me what the hell that was back there!" I yelled at River.
We'd just gotten back to my parents' house and River hadn't said a word to me since we left Max's house. We walked into my room and I closed the door behind us.
He took his shirt off and started towards the bathroom...still ignoring me.
"I swear if you don't talk to me I'm not talking to you for the rest of the month!" I warned.
Still no answer. I was SO pissed considering he and Max could've DIED as well as Madison and I.
I ran up behind him and swung him around a bit too hard.
He quickly turned around and brought his fist up as if he was about to hit me.
I gasped.
He did not just do that.
Without thinking I charged and started punching the hell out of him as hard as I could.
He blocked his face as he picked me up with ease and threw me onto the bed. While I was laying down I kept kicking and punching at him as he tried to grab my legs.
"You fucking asshole!" I screamed. "Get away from me!"
"Cassidy- Cassidy! Baby, stop!" He yelled.
He managed to climb on top of me and held my hands over my head.
Tears were streaming down my face. Not because I was angry but because I couldn't believe what he'd just did.
"Cassidy, I'm sorry." He apologized while trying to catch his breath.
"You- you were gonna hit me!"
"No I wasn't. It was just out of instinct. Sweetheart, you know I wouldn't ever do anything to hurt you. I'd never even think about putting my hands on you to hurt you."
"You almost punched me..." I replied still in disbelief.
"Like I said it was just my natural instinct. I may have brought my fist up but I promise it would've never come close to you bien-aime."
I spit in his face.
"Your natural instinct? Bullshit!" I yelled through the tears.
He held my wrists tighter over my head as I tried to get up.
"Cassidy you ran up on me and swung me around so hard I almost fell over! The only people that do shit like that are grown ass men looking for a fight so of course I reacted that way. I wouldn't dare ever hit a woman, especially you!"
"You're hurting me." I said through a shaky voice.
"What?" He asked.
I twisted my wrist.
He let go of it and I brought it in front of my face.
It was as red as blood. I knew it was gonna bruise.
The door bursted open and Max walked in.
River let go of my other wrist and got off of me.
"You hit her?" Max asked.
"No I didn't hit her."
"But you almost did." Max stated through gritted teeth.
"Were you eavesdropping?" River asked.
"Doesn't matter! Point is you were about to hit her!"
"No I wasn't now get the hell out of here. This isn't your conversation to be a part of."
"It is when your threatening to hit her!" Max raised his voice even louder.
"I wasn't about to hit her! Max, you of all people should know that I can't control half the things I do when someone runs up on me!"
"Doesn't fucking matter! If she ever tells me that you've hit her you can bet your ass I'm coming after you."
"You don't scare me Maxwell." River responded with a smirk.
"I don't care if I scare you or not! My intentions were to warn you if you ever put your hands on her!"
"I'd probably take your warning seriously if I knew you actually had the balls to fight me."
They were face to face with their fists clenched.
"Guys stop!" I shouted.
"Cassidy he's playing you." Max said.
"The hell I am!" River replied. "You're just mad that I got to her before you did!"
"Oh yea? Bet she doesn't even know that you're married."
Wait- what.
"Married? River what is he talking about..." I asked though I was extremely afraid to know the answer.
River stared at Max with the coldest look on his face.
"River..." I said again. I could feel myself getting lightheaded.
He looked at me with guilt.
I covered my mouth with my hands in complete shock.
I was speechless.
"Cassidy I'm sorry...."
I couldn't believe he hid something that big from me.
"You're- married?" My voice shook as I spoke.
He nodded his head yes.
"It's nothing serious though." He stated.
"But you're still married." I quietly replied unable to speak any louder.
"Only because-" He stopped and looked at me as if seeing if he wanted to continue his sentence.
"Only because what?"
He sighed and closed his eyes.
"Because I have a son."
My heart broke even more.
"My wife's threatening to never let me see him again if I file for a divorce."
"How old is he?" I asked.
"4."
"You're married with a son and you didn't even think about telling me?" I wasn't angry at all just extremely disappointed.
"I was going to eventually." He responded.
"Yea well 'going to' isn't enough." I said. "Oh and by the way, I'm pregnant."
I then walked out of the room so that he wouldn't see me cry again.
"Cassidy!" He yelled but I didn't care.
I ran downstairs and was about to run out of the front door when I heard Xander call my name.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
Without responding I ran into his arms and cried my eyes out.
Why me?
"What happened?" He asked.
"River-" I couldn't finish my sentence.
"Cassie you've been so stressed since you've been with him? Why haven't you called it off yet?"
"I can't." I replied.
"And why not?" He asked.
"I- I don't know I just- he means so much to me."
Xander stopped asking questions and just held me tighter which was exactly what I needed.

River's P.O.V. (SURPRISE xD)
Was I really just playing Cassidy?
Admittingly, I was at first but not anymore.
Did I really care about Cassidy?
Absolutely.
Why didn't I tell her I was married and had a son?
Because I knew she wouldn't understand.
I was honestly planning on telling her though I wasnt sure when I was going to do it.
But now I felt sick to my stomach.
Because she was pregnant and I'd possibly just lost her.
"Why did you tell her?" I asked Max while trying not to punch the living daylights out of him.
"She deserved to know." He said. "You're hiding so much shit from her and the longer you wait to tell her the more its gonna mess up your relationship."
"Well I might not have a relationship with her anymore now thanks to you. I'll tell her when I'm ready! You have no right whatsoever to tell her MY business. You don't see me going around telling Lindsay your bullshit!"
"My 'bullshit' is no where near as bad as yours River so don't even get me started. I'm a completely different person than you are. I actually have morals." He retorted.
"Really? Because from what I remember we're both fucked up in the head and have been fucked up in the head since Blairwood. You may not think so but in reality we're not too different from eachother at all and you know that. In fact, the only difference between us is that you hold it all in. You walk around pretending like everything is okay and that me and you are normal. Well, newsflash, we're not! You keep trying to forget about what happened to us.... I refuse to forget."
I left the room and went downstairs to look for Cassidy.
"Bien-aime..." I called out.
"She went to Jordan's house." I heard Xander say.
"What'd you do?" He asked as he approached me.
"I haven't been completely honest with her." I said.
"Well you need to fix this because I've never seen her so upset before." He replied.
"I know." I mumbled. "I know."
"No, you don't." He took a step closer so that we were face to face and softly spoke. "I've been fairly reserved about your relationship with my sister, which I never am when it comes to her dating, but that's gonna change if she ever comes running to me again crying about something you did. If you don't fix this I will not allow you to be with Cassidy."
"You're not her dad. You can't make that decision for her."
"You're right, I'm not her dad. In fact you're lucky it wasnt my dad that she went crying to because I promise you if he was the one talking to you right now it'd be far worse than our current little conversation."
That's cute. He was actually trying to intimidate me.
"Alexander, I respect you protecting your sister I really do. I'd do the same for my little sister. However, those empty threats you're making aren't working. No one's gonna stop me from being with Cassidy, no one." I asserted. "Including you."
"Is that so?" He asked.
"Very much so. I'm gonna do everything I can to keep that girl. Even if it means pissing off you and your dad."
