Justin
It was Sunday morning and I was sitting in a café, waiting for Cam to arrive. I was serious when I told Scarlett that I'm going to talk to Cam about this. She is hurting and I can't stand it.
I felt my cheeks burn again when the kiss from last night flashed back into my mind. Well, it was a kiss that ended up being a make out session. I hid my face behind my palms so that people won't see me smiling and blushing and think I'm dumb.
I can't believe we finally kissed and it gave me undying butterflies in my stomach. Today morning was so awkward though.
When I stepped out of my room, I saw Scarlett come out of hers too. I saw her cheeks turn red just when she saw me and I think I blushed too because I could feel my cheeks become hot.
Is it humanly possible to blush by just looking at a person?
"I uh....I'm g-going to meet Cameron" I cringed when I heard myself stutter like a schoolboy.
"O-okay" she breathed.
Good morning kiss. I want a good morning kiss.
But things had gotten awkward between us and I could feel it.
"Um what happened last night—
"Oh no, I just got carried away, let's just forget i-it" She said and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and I bit the inside of my cheek to keep from smiling.
So now we're going to pretend like we didn't mean it when we both know how much we meant it. Alright then.
"Yeah right me too...let's skip last night" I said and she nodded.
And I felt the thick air die down and we were back to normal, no more awkward.
"I'll see you later?" I said.
"Yeah" She nodded. I leaned in and kissed her cheek making her blush again and redder this time.
I smiled when I turned around after I saw her smiling too just as I pulled out and had turned around half way.
If last night we got carried away then maybe we got carried away right now too.
"Why are you smiling like a retard?" Cameron snapped my out when he sat in front of me and I wiped the smile off my face and shook my head.
"Nothing..." I said and he made a face.
"You're weird"
"Look who's talking" I said and he laughed.
"Why have you called me here though?" He asked and the smile from my face vanished.
"I wanted to talk to you about Scarlett.....you and Scarlett" I said and his face grew serious too.
"Wh-what about us?"
"Scarlett....she talked to me last night Cam, more like sobbed her heart out to me. She told me that she isn't ready for a relationship with you yet, she agreed to you just because you said that you won't see her again if she says no....you're important for her Cam, but what you need to understand is you're forcing her, you really think your relationship with her would be healthy if she's forced into this?" I said and his face fell.
"Sh-she was crying?" He said and I nodded.
"Shit..." He mumbled and rubbed his face with his palms.
"I just....I got so afraid that night that I'd lose her and I forced her....fuck..." He was talking to himself.
"Just give her time Cam" I said and he nodded.
"I'll talk to her, I will wait, no matter how long it takes" He said and I patted his shoulder.
In that case, maybe.....just maybe you'll have to wait forever bro.
"Alright, see you later, I gotta go to the office to check some documents real quick" I said and got up.
"You're working today?" He said as we walked out.
"Nah, just have to check some important docs and then I'll go home, the family dinner is at our place tonight" I said.
"Oh..."
"Bye" I said before getting inside the car.

I rang the doorbell and just two seconds later, Mama Jen opened the door and she looked tensed.
"You look disturbed Mama Jen" I said while shutting the door.
"Selena's here Justin..." She said and I froze.
"Wh-what? And where's Scarlett?" I said.
"She almost opened the door for her but saw her from the kitchen window and stopped Scarlett on time. She has been inside her room since Selena has come" She said and I sighed.
"Thank god" I said and walked through the hallway into the living room and saw Selena sitting on the couch while playing with her fingers.
I wonder why she is here.
She looked up at me when she noticed that I was there.
"Justin..." She mumbled and then rushed to me to wrap me in a hug.
I inhaled sharply, not because I had missed her or because her hug felt good but because it felt so different....
Usually I'd get this bubbly feeling inside when she'd hug me but this time I didn't, It felt like just another hug.
"Hey..." I smiled when I pulled out.
"Hi" She smiled causing a small flutter to my heart and I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and her face softened.
"I'm sorry Jay....I overreacted that night. I always do that don't I?" She chuckled.
"Can we forget it?"She looked up and me in a way that I couldn't deny.
This is wrong, I can't say yes and get back with her, I just solved the Cameron problem and now....
"Okay..." I faked and smile and she kissed me.
But it felt nothing like the kiss I got last night.
"Can I stay over?" She asked in a chirpy voice and I tensed.
"Uh actually I'm going out for work now, there's no point in you staying here" I said and her face dropped.
"Oh...okay"
"I wanted to spend some time with you..." She pouted.
"We can later, I'll call you" I said and she smiled.
"Okay, love you" she said and pecked my lips.
"I love you too, bye" I lied.
"Bye!" she said and walked out.
I sighed and removed my jacket. Mama Jen was looking at me unimpressed. There was a time when she adored Selena but I guess now she can only see me with Scarlett.
"I'm going to take a nap" I said and she nodded.
I went upstairs and got in my room and plopped down on my bed. Now, I had a choice in front of me. It has to be either Scarlett or Selena. Either take things further with Scarlett or continue with Selena and I'm surely going to need a while to decide.

It was around 7 pm in the evening and I had been working in my study for a while now so I decided to go downstairs and see what Scarlett and Mama Jen were doing.
I got downstairs and walked into the kitchen to see Scarlett cooking while Mama Jen stood beside her and watched.
"Someone decided to cook today?" I said and they turned their heads to look at me for a second. Scarlett nodded and smiled.
"She wanted to cook it since this is the first time everybody is coming here for the family dinner" Mama Jen said and smiled at her adoringly.
"What are we cooking though?" I said and leaned on the counter on the other side of Scarlett.
"Steak and don't lean over the stove!" She scolded and pushed me back by my chest when I tried to peek inside the vessel and I put my hands up in surrender.
"He did the same when he was seven years old and got burnt" Mama Jen said.
"Mama Jen don't st—
"Really?" Scarlett said and Mama Jen nodded.
"No no! no childhood memories ri—
"Yeah! He was playing around and tried to peek while I was cooking, he took a chair and stood beside me and lost his balance. You see this little thing here – Mama Jen pulled my floppy hair away from my forehead and showed Scarlett the small scar that was just below my hairline- He hit the edge of the hot vessel and got this" She said.
"Deserved it" Scarlett mumbled while shaking her head and I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Heard it" I said and she tried to fight a smile.
"You were meant to" She said and I narrowed my eyes even more making her giggle.
I wanted Mama Jen and Louisa to vanish from the room so I could pull her into my chest and kiss her hard using the excuse that she made fun of me.
This woman will be the death of me one day, I tell you.
Mama Jen got busy in cleaning the dinner table so now me and Scarlett were left alone at the counter.
"I talked to Cam, it went well" I said and she looked at me and smiled.
"I know, he called me, he agreed to wait.....thank you so much" She surprised me by wrapping her arms around my neck and giving me a quick hug and I smiled too.
She got back to cooking while I observed her face. She looked genuinely happy and I would've been too if only Selena hadn't paid a visit to me today.
"Alright you two kids, go get ready, I'll look after the steak" Mama Jen said and we both nodded.
I dressed myself in a black dress shirt and trousers and sleeked my hair before stepping out of my room and just as I did, I heard the doorbell ring, signaling that the parents have arrived.
Just as I stepped down two stairs, I heard a door click open and a lot of shuffling noises followed. I looked behind to see Scarlett coming out in a hurry while trying to hold the skirt of her long black, not-too-dressy gown's skirt properly so she could walk but her concentration was 0% at that moment.
"Hey, slow down" I chuckled and walked to help her.
I stood beside her while she gripped my shoulder with a hand and I held her by her waist as she adjusted her dress properly.
"Thank you" She smiled before we intertwined our hands involuntarily and went downstairs.
"Good evening!" Scarlett's mom said when we entered the dining area.
"Good evening" Me and Scarlett said in unison before settling down.
"How are you two?" Mom smiled affectionately at us.
"We're fine" I said and Scarlett nodded.
Mama Jen and Louisa served the dinner for us.
"Wow Mama Jen, the steak smells delicious" Mom said.
"It should be 'wow Scarlett' Mrs. Bieber, she cooked the steak tonight" Mama Jen said.
"Really?" Mom grinned with surprise.
"My baby is a really good cook Mrs. Bieber" Mrs. Lopez gushed.
"She definitely is!" Mom said when she took a bite.
I took a bite and my eyes widened at how actually good it was.
"Damn, this so good, you could set up a restaurant Scarlett" I said only for her to hear and she giggled.
"Oh, it's not restaurant worthy Justin!" She said.
How I love when she says my name.
"Oh please, this is five star, you can really become a mogul in that industr---"
"You two look so happy, I hope you'll stay like this forever" Mom interrupted me and I smiled at her.
"I can't wait to have grandchildren though" She added and I coughed a little. I didn't even dare to look at Scarlett.
"No but really, you'll should think about it, it's been five months since your marriage." Mrs. Lopez said.
Five months!?! It's been that long!? Damn..... it feels like yesterday!
"You'll seem to forget that I'm 21 and she's 20 sometimes, give us a little time" I said and they looked apologetic.
"Right..." They both agreed.
Brandon was surprisingly silent throughout.
The dinner went quiet well, Scarlett had a glow on her face and I could tell that she was definitely feeling good to have some people in the house; I can tell that she feels alone even if she doesn't express it.
Scarlett offered Louisa to clean the dishes but I denied her and dragged her upstairs. She had cooked the whole dinner, she has to be tired and plus Louisa gets paid for doing that.
Sometimes I feel like Scarlett is too good for the world.
"Let me meet the pups, how're they doing?" I said as we got inside her room.
"They're good, they've become a little lazy though" She said. I whistled and all the three came running to me and kept wagging their tails at my feet.
I patted their heads before taking those little ones in my arm and plopping down on her bed. Phil started licking all over my face while Peanut kept jumping around.
I saw Scarlett come out of the bathroom after she changed into something comfortable. I spotted three books splattered on the bed and her iPod lying there too. I let Phil and Peanut get off me and sat up.
She was standing at the window while looking outside. I should just mind my own business and go back to my room but instead I got up and walked to her and stood beside her in the window and looked out.
"Do you get lonely Scarlett?" I asked, with my hands in my pocket and I never looked at her until I felt her look at me.
She gave me her bright, mesmerizing soft smile and shook her head.
"No, I have Mama Jen, Cameron, the pups, Emma.....I have you, I'm not lonely" She said and sounded like she was convincing herself. The 'I have you' did things to my heart though. She says that even when I show like I don't give a damn about her.
At that moment, I realized how cruel I've been to her. I don't know how she lived before we got married but now we're married, her happiness is my responsibility, but more than responsibility, I really want her to be content from the bottom of my heart, she deserves it more than anyone else.
Scarlett is like a sponge; she absorbs all the sadness from around her and keeps everyone positive but never shows it when she's hurting.
She this little box of happiness who doesn't save anything for herself.
"You're lying" I mumbled and she jokingly rolled her eyes.
"I'm not, you should sleep now, you have work tomo---
She stopped talking when I wrapped her into a tight bear hug.
"I'm not going to work tomorrow" I said.
"Why?" She asked as I felt her bury her face in my neck.
"We're flying to Florida tomorrow, we're going to Disneyland" I smiled against her shoulder.
"Really!?" She leaned back to look at me and I nodded before reaching one hand in the back pocket of my pants and removed two tickets to Disneyland and held them in front of her face and her eyes widened.
"Oh my god!" She took them from my hand and looked at them.
"A-are we really going or are you pranking me!?" She said and I rolled my eyes.
"We are REALLY going Scarlett" I said and she jumped on me and hugged me again making me giggle.
I felt so proud of myself for coming up with this idea.
"Now tell me the truth, you were bored right?" I said while we were still wrapped in a hug.
"Yes, a little..."
"I said tell me the 'truth" I repeated.
"Okay fine, I was bored to death but I'm so happy that I'll be going out somewhere tomorrow" She said and I smiled.
"Alright now get some sleep, tomorrow's going to be a long day" I said and we pulled away.
"I won't be able to because the adrenalin is already flooding in my blood but I'll try" She said and plopped on the bed and the pups immediately snuggled into her.
"They sleep on the bed?" I raised my eyebrows and pointed at them and Scarlett nodded.
"Wow, royal" I said and shook my head making her chuckle.
"Goodnight" I said and switched off the lights.
"Goodnight" She replied and I left the room
