"Hurry before my mother wakes up and comes after us!" April squeeled with delight as she rolled her wheel chair down the street.
"I still think you should have told her where you're going!" Frank said, walking faster to catch up with her.
"If I told her she would not have approved with what we are about to do, my mother is very protective of me and she would have scolded me, what we are about to do is illegaL!" April stopped wheeling her chair and turned her head to face Frank, "and besides, I wanted to spend the day with you, she would never allow me this pleasure, she doesn't trust strangers."
Frank's lips curved into a smile, "In that case, I agree with you."
His eyes sparkled with love and April was ashamed of herself for leading him on, but she needed his help. "Anyways, I left a note on her night stand and when she wakes up she'll read it and know not to worry."
The streets were empty, except for a few cars that drove past them and a couple of stray cats looking for food in a garbage can, no one else was around. "Feels like a ghost town, don't you think?" April asked, wondering if this was a good idea or if it was something stupid that she will regret later. Frank had slipped his number in her hand the day before and when she went back to her hotel room she had this idea. It wasn't hard to convince him to do her will, she already knew that he had a crush on her, so she when her mother was showering, she called him and he happily agreed.
"It is almost six in the morning April, people are still sleeping, heck, the sun is barely out." Frank said, "in about an hour the streets will come alive with people driving to work, shops opening up, women running their errands and children playing in the streets, and their laughter will be heard for miles away."
They were almost at the tourist site, and the pavement was starting to go slightly up hill. "Frank I might need your help here." April said, even though she hated asking for help, not liking the idea of becoming a burden to him.
Immediately Frank jumped behind her and grabbed the handles, "We're almost there, I'm going to have to shut off the alarm so it won't alert the police, but you must stay to the side and not move, because the alarm is very sensitive and we don't want it to go off, I'm not in the mood to be handcuffed and taken to prison!"
April loved to hear his voice, he sounded so innocent and sweet. Another time, another place perhaps, she could have loved this charming young man, she thought, but her mind and heart was not ready to feel things for him or anyone else at this time in her life.
When they reached the gates of the tourist site, Frank took out of his pocket a stainless steel ring with many keys hanging on it and unlocked the gate, "Stay where you are and don't move, I have to run inside and turn off the alarm system." He said, as he walked off toward the castle.
All alone, April felt scared and vulnerable, and wondered if she was doing the right thing. What did she hope to find in this castle that would be of any use to her? Just because she had a drive in her heart to come back and seek the truth, but what was the truth? And what would she tell her mother when she returns to the hotel, that she felt a need to visit the castle for answers because she saw a few apparitions?
"Come on April, hurry before someone sees us!" Frank whispered hoarsely from the other side of the gate.
"Ok I'm coming!" April said, and wheeled herself quickly into the Sterlingshire yard.
Frank closed the gate behind her and grabbed the handles of the wheel chair, "Let's go inside the castle first, I want to show you something." He said as he wheeled April through the giant doorway.
It was dark and dreary inside, and it gave Frank the creeps, but not so for April, her eyes lit up and her heart melted as soon as she crossed the threshold. She felt like she was home, and for some strange reason she wanted to visit the bedchamber that once belonged to Edward and Julia.
"Can I ask a favor of you Frank?"
"Ask away!"
"Can you lift me in your arms and take me up the stairs to Edwards and Julia's bedchamber, Please?"
"Yes I can do that." Frank answered excitedly, finally realizing what April was up to. She liked him and wanted to show him how much, he thought, as he scooped her petite body in his strong arms and walked up the stairs. Fantasies of making love to her had him hot and excited, and he wondered if he still had the condom in his back pocket. He always carried one with him because one never knew what situation they would find themselves in, he thought as a smile curved his lips.
Reaching the second floor, Frank walked seven doors down the hall and kicked open the wooden door with his foot. The door opened wide and April looked around the room. All of the sudden her heart beat wildly against her chest and tears welled up in her eyes.
"Edward...." She whispered, without realizing it.
Frank rolled his eyes and sighed, why did she have to call out that name! Walking over to the bed, he placed April gently on it and stepped aside, "I will be right back." He said, and raced out of the room.
Everything in Aprils body came alive as she sat on the bed and waited for Frank's return. Tears streamed down her face, with ease, she lay her back on the mattress and her hands softly caressed the quilted blanket. Closing her eyes, April relaxed and tried to convince herself that this was not an insane thing to do, she needed to do this for her peace of mind, but peace of mind was the last thing that she would get, for in that instant, April felt an overwhelming feeling, that something was happening, something strange and beautiful all at the same time.
"Do you want to go riding with me after breakfast, we can ride to the loch and I can teach you to swim."
His voice was deep and masculine, Aprils heart beat wildly against her chest, as she slowly opened her eyes and turned her head sideways. He looked magnificent standing by the arched window naked as the day he was born. His back was turned and Aprils eyes took in every inch of his bronzed, muscled body. He looked like a Greek God, as he braced his hands on the ledge of the window and looked down in the courtyard.
His thick black mane of hair fell over his broad shoulders, and April wanted to run her fingers down his back and feel his rock solid, hard muscles. "Edward?" She said without realizing it.
Edward lazily turned his body around and revealed his huge, swollen shaft, and his sexy lips curved into a smile. "Aye Julia." He said hoarsely as he slowly walked back to the bed.
Aprils heart stopped beating as she waited for him to lay next to her. She asked herself if this was truly happening or if she was still back in the hotel room dreaming. "Is this real or am I dreaming a dream?"
Edward's emearlad eyes were hazed with lust as he climbed on the bed next to her, "let me show you and you be the judge." He teased, before he lowered his head and pressed his lips against hers.
He felt real, everything felt real and April was lost in a world of make believe, for how can this be real, she asked herself, just as Edwards tongue glided slowly over her bare breast and circled around her nipple that perked with anticipation for his touch. When had her clothes come off her body and what happened to Frank? She thought wildly, as she looked into Edwards hungry eyes.
"Did you fall asleep April?" Frank teased and pulled April out of her daydream.
Blinking a few times to make sure she was awake, April pulled her body up to a sitting position and decided to tell Frank all that was happening to her. Her golden tendrils spilled over her shoulders and Frank swallowed a lump in his throat. She was a beautiful vision before him and he leaned forward and kissed her lips unable to hold off anymore.
April kissed him back wanting to see if she felt the same way as when Edward was kissing her but to her dismay, the dream felt more real than this. Pulling away from him, she said, "I'm sorry."
Frank looked hurt and disappointed, April could tell by the way his eyes clouded with pain. Behind him he held a small bouquet of flowers, and Aprils heart broke in two. She didn't want to hurt Frank, he was a good friend and she liked him, but not in the same way than he liked her.
"I'm sorry Frank, please don't be mad at me." She told him, hoping that he will understand.
*************
Edward stopped in his tracks and closed his eyes as a powerful surge coursed through his entire body and left him trembling. He turned around and his eyes scanned the area around him, but the streets were empty and no one was around. Was he imaginating it or was he feeling his soulmates vibration? He thought, as he raked his finger through his hair and headed towards the castle. He needed to look around Sterlingshire to see if there were any clues left behind. He didn't want the special artifacts to fall into the hands of the wrong people, because all his hopes and dreams would be destroyed if that were to happen.
