-----NO ONE'S POV-----
Todoroki's eyes furrowed confused and conflicted, flipping through the pages. "What is this?" He asked.
Some of the boys huddled closer to see what he saw. Their expressions were what drew the others to see the contents of the book.
Aizawa came out of his room to investigate the explosion from earlier but was met with something more complicated than he thought was a fight or some small burning appliance.
Gray sighed knowing he cant escape the class from their questions.
"That's a bingo book." He said.
"Bingo? What is this some type of game?" Bakugou asked with a serious voice. The teacher scanned the book.
"The 'x' drawn on the pictures... Those are the ones eliminated, aren't they?" Midoriya asked.
"Yeah..."
He flipped through the pages. Page after page there was at least one or two that were crossed out. There were symbols at the bottom of the pictures next to their information. Some were mostly from her village and the others from other villages.
Gray jumped and snatched the book away from them.
"Whatever it is you're thinking, she didn't kill anyone. Tampering with the book can cause serious offence against the hidden leaf and you guys have seen enough." Gray said with the book in between his jaws. The students were speechless after seeing a list of people who were most likely to be dead and a bunch others who were yet to be killed.
"What is the bingo book about?" Aizawa asked.
"Look..." Gray placed the bingo book on the floor.
"No need. Ill be the one to explain."
(Y/n) who just came out fo the shower wearing her uniform walked over and picked up the bingo book along with a couple of other things that fell out of her pouch. "The book is a list of blacklisted shinobis of the hidden leaf. The reason why you guys saw more of hidden leaf Shinobi in this book is because they were traitors, deserters, stealers of murderers who were hidden leaf shinobi. There are also ninjas from other villages that could pose potential threat so they are blacklisted in every bingo book in hidden villages."
"So like a list of criminals?" Mineta trailed off.
"If you like to think about it that way then yeah. Sure."
"Killed immediately?" Hagakure shivered.
"We don't kill them just because their in the blacklisted book. We investigate first. Of course some of them are missing nin or wrongly accused, so its more like capture or kill depending on the target." She continued on telling them about the bingo book as she flipped through the pages and landed on one she remembered clearly.
"Take this man for example."
"His name is Mizuki Touji. After the genin exam where Naruto and I failed to pass, Mizuki came to us and manipulated us into stealing something pretty valuable and forbidden in the hidden leaf. Documentations of forbidden jutsus written by the 2nd Hokage himself. Iruka sensei came in and battled with him for our safety but Mizuki managed to get away. Years passed and he resurfaced, ultimately he was captured and placed in jail where he still remains to this day." She explained.
"But what was something like that doing here on the common room table?" Aizawa asked.
She scratched the back of her neck."Do you guys remember Orochimaru? The snake guy by the beach?"
Immediately they stared at her knowing exactly who she was talking about.
"What about him?" Kirishima asked displeased knowing Orochimaru managed to kidnap them with ease.
"I didn't just receive the news of Master Jiraiya's death yesterday. I also received Orochimaru's death." She flipped over to where Orochimaru's profile was. She showed them the crossed out profile that belong to the snake user.
"Wait. Your master is dead?" Midoriya asked.
"Midoriya." Aizawa scolded in a hushed tone. (Y/n) looked away with a saddened expression.
"S-sorry..." It was the only thing that came out of Midoriya's mouth. He didn't know.
(Y/n) moved on from the subject and continued. "I was planning to inform Aizawa sensei later today but i guess i have no other choice. Kakashi sensei came here and gave me a warning. Reports says that Sasuke killed Orochimaru and fled the base. With Orochimaru gone, his test subjects escaped and are out and running about. They could end up here."
"How sure are they?" Aizawa asked.
"Kakashi sensei said he encountered some while he was on a mission." She shakily sighed. "Not only is his test subjects on the lose, his followers as well. There's bound to be trouble where ever they are."
"Psh! If those suckers try anything ill kill them!" Bakugou yelled.
"Do you know anything about the test subjects and his followers?" Todoroki asked.
"Yeah maybe we can keep an eye out or something if anything goes fishy." Uraraka said worriedly.
(Y/n) shook her head disappointed. "Some of Orochimaru's experiments and followers look like regular people. Some have a deformities that could look like it was molded together or some human-animal hybrid so they can easily fit in with the society here. The only thing that separates them, aside from being able to use chakra is the marks on their necks that Orochimaru left behind. The same mark that turned Sasuke into that monster looking thing back at the beach." She paused. "Not all of them look the same though. Each mark is unique to the other."
"This... This is a lot to take in..." Momo said.
"Im sorry for binging you guys into this..." She bowed an apologized.
"Is there anything else we should know about (y/n)?" Aizawa asked. Although he didn't want to hear it he had a feeling he had to.
She looked at Aizawa then looked away. "Itachi Uchiha is dead."
They knew who Itachi was. Only a handful of them actually saw Itachi or rather a hologram of the said man.
"Didn't he try to kill you back in Camino?" Bakugou asked angered by her sad expression. How could she be sad for someone who tried to kill her?
"Oi Bakugou!" Kirishima scolded his friend.
"What? Don't tell me you're convinced that Itachi guy is actually good!"
"Still! He meant a lot to (y/n)."
An argument started between the two which was getting louder and louder.
"Its alright." (Y/n) said causing them to stop. She shook her head looking down at her twiddling fingers. "I don't expect you to understand but my point still stands. Sasuke was the one who killed Itachi. He longed for that day. Now that he did what he wanted i have to find out what his next move is." She paused. "Its unlikely he will stay low and hide. It's not like him."
She became more anxious as she continued talking she raised her shoulders rubbing her palms together. "There's so many things going on. Publicity, Sasuke, Orochimaru's test subjects and his followers on the loose. I can't just sit here and wallow in grief when he's out there planning something!" Her speech quickened as she talked, before they knew it she was already panicking and blabbering.
Aizawa gripped her shoulder and shook her. "(Y/n)! Calm down!"
Immediately she took in a deep breath and slowly and steadily exhaled.
"Master Jiraiya passed his will of fire to me. I just... I need to think." She looked up at Aizawa with furrowed brows. She took a step back and rearranged her stuff in her pouch before placing it in her bag.
"I'll go with you to Principal Nezu." Aizawa said walking back to his room. "I'll be out in a few minutes. (y/n) you stay put. As for the rest of you, get a move on."
She looked at her classmates and bowed again. "Sorry if i dragged you guys into this mess." She then stood up straight and walked away with Gray following by, heading for the living room where she sat and waited for Aizawa.
They didn't say anything. It was more like she didn't let them. They knew she had a lot of things to deal with so they let her be. "You heard Sir Aizawa. Let's go." Iida told his classmates to which they followed.
(Y/n), while waiting was busy in her thoughts, her bag at her side and Gray on her lap.
"Gray. What if im just hurting everyone here?" She asked quietly.
"What are you talking about?"
"Them. They'll get hurt or worse. Im a jinchuriki. I shouldn't have come here." She trailed off staring out the window away from the dining room. She was blinking her tears away, biting into her fingernails as she spoke.
"They're aspiring heroes. Heroes in training. Im sure they can take a punch or two."
"No. I know they can. Of course they can."
"Then what's gotten you so worked up?" He asked genuinely concerned.
"They're not like me. Or us. We were trained from the moment we were born, from the moment we stepped into the Academy."
"Isn't that what they're trying to do now? Learning in order to protect, serve and rescue their city?"
"They are. Its just that our morals are different. I've been watching, listening to what they do. They capture their opponents no matter what. And when an ally goes down they save them. It's good and all. Rescue a life to save a life. I get it. We had almost he same motto in team 7 but they dont know what it's like to be prepared to draw thier sword and kill someone whether it is by their call or orders. Like that time when i battled with Hidan for the second time. I was so tempted to just kill him right then and there. Well not like i could but you get the idea." She paused. "Or what about All for One's case? They'd rather lock him up. If Konoha had it their way he would have been dead where he stood."
"You'll never know, maybe it just hasn't come to that point yet but I don't know... Maybe without the temptations of killing your enemies can do us some good." He paused. "Well, its not like you killed someone."
"The temptation is there but yeah.. i haven't killed anyone so far but what about the Akatsuki? Or those who want people like me, like bounty hunters, or people like Orochimaru. They want me. Me. I could have been anywhere but i lead them straight to me. All because i wanted to leave Konoha and find somewhere new. I was so caught up with my ambitions and my selfish wants that i overlooked the cost of my actions. I was foolish think i could live a normal life here." A tear fell dripping down her cheek.
"Okay. Let's say you screwed up. Let's say you got your friends in trouble and the enemies knows where they are." He looked at her with his paws on both her shoulders staring at her with a serious expression. "What are you going to do? Run away?"
She stayed silent weighing her options.
"Are you going to cry and apologise for it?" He asked again.
"No."
"Really? That's what it sounds like your doing. Are you sure?"
"Yes im sure!"
"So?"
There was a moment of silence before she spoke.
"Im going to stay here and finish what i started. And when the time comes ill protect them. Even if it kills me. I brought it upon them i should take care of it."
He paused and chuckled climbing back down."thats what i thought." He said curling himself into a ball. "Ill be with you every step of the way."
She smiled feeling much better that she did earlier. She scratched the cat's back. "Thanks Gray. I needed that."
"My pleasure. Its what im here for."
The two shared a brief moment of bliss. (Y/n)'s thoughts however had a different idea. Overthinker or what not, she was already thinking what could possibly happen tomorrow or in the future but all things aside, weekend is coming and next week is the break that principal Nezu said they could go home and visit their families.
