(your cast is already off and since you heal fast it only took about three days)
-----YOUR POV-----
It's been a while since i last talked to any of my classmates. I preferred not to. I couldn't, not after what i did. It was stupid but i snapped. I let my anger get the best of me. Ever since what happened, my daily routine changed. I would get up earlier than everyone else just so i wouldn't bump into them in the shower. When they do come down to use the shower i would already be in the dining room eating but then again, i haven't been in the mood lately so breakfast went by quick. Once they were done was already long gone. I haven't interacted much with anyone too. It was either i was listening to the lessons or i had my earphones on shielding me from the outside world. Breaks were a hassle too so i never went to the cafeteria where the crowd was plentiful. It came to a point where i started making my own lunch and having them somewhere outside.
Naruto still hadn't given me the bird carrier but he left me a note that he slipped through the door. I pulled out the note that was in my bag.
"Hey. Sorry if i hadn't sent anything for a while, i've been busy with pervy sage. Speaking of pervy sage, we didn't want to wake you up so we sent this note. Pervy sage and i are going somewhere. We think it might be Orochimaru so, we're going after it. Don't worry, i wont do anything reckless! Not if Pervy sage had all the recklessness with him! Hehe!" He drew a laughing face at the side. "Anyways, we'll be gone for a few days but we'll come back soon! I promise!" He also place a happy smile at the bottom of the note with a swirl beside it.
I smiled at the note. I guess he didn't forget.. I picked up a sandwich i made earlier and bit into it as i leaned on the tree feeling the wind brush past me.
"Hey. Haven't seen you in a while have i?" A guy asked. I looked up at whoever talked only to see a familiar guy with messy, indigo-colored hair that flares out in large tufts around his head.
"Shinsou." I greeted.
"Can i?" He motioned at the space beside me.
"Go ahead." I nodded.
He pulled up his slacks and bent down to sit beside me. Grunting in the process. She turned to me meeting my gaze and offered a paper bag to me. I looked at bag then back at him confused.
"What's this for?" I pointed.
"Lunch... Im pretty sure this is better than that sandwich of yours." He nodded over to the container i had on the grass beneath me. Reluctantly i took the bag and took a peek in its contents. I reached in and took it out. It was still warm.
"Takoyaki?" I opened it. It looked like takoyaki but it was black. "It's black."
"Its some kind of trend. They added squid ink to the dough so it turns black." He said. "Go on try it. Im sure you'll like it." He said taking peek into the bag i was holding and pulled out another food container. He opened it revealing it's contents to be none other than the Takoyaki just like mine. He opened a wooden disposable chopsticks. and readied himself to eat.
"Wait. You're eating here with me?" I asked.
"Yeah." He paused. "Why? Is there a problem?"
"I.." I gulped down the lump that formed in my throat and leaned back on the wood. "I just don't think is the right time for you to hang out someone like me."
"Really?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "And what do you mean by 'someone like me'?" He asked
"Im pretty sure you heard the news. Or the rumors.. Or the gossips..." I said felling more down. I tried to be more broad about what i was saying.
"Yeah. Okay.. So?" He asked nonchalantly.
"So?" I was confused. "Im pretty sure you're getting a lot of hate as it is. I just don't want to drag you along with me." I sighed looking away. "Being friends with me is the last thing you want right now.."
He hummed. "And who's decision was that?" He paused. "Because im sure I didn't agree to anything." Before i could speak, he started talking again. "If you're worried about what they'll say.." He looked at me with a small smile knowing smile on his face. "Then you got another thing coming." I looked at the familiar words he muttered. "You heard me. Im your friend and i'll hang out with you regardless of what they say and besides, i cant mind control you even if i tried." He smiled. "Don't tell me you're backing out now."
"No! Of course not." I smiled. "But thank you."
"I should thank you." He replied.
I placed the container on my lap and picked up the chopsticks in the paper bag. "Thank you for the food." I said and started eating the Takoyaki he gave. "Wow that's actually pretty good!" I commented taking another bite.
"Im glad you like it." He then opened his and started eating too. I turned to my side with the container with my sandwiches were. I offered it to Shinsou.
"I doubt the Takoyaki is enough to fill our stomachs. Help yourself." I placed the container in between us. He picked up a piece and bit into it.
"What did you put in this? Its good." I smiled at his compliment.
"Just mayo with chicken flakes and chopped egg in it."
"I like it." He said raking another bite.
(Oh wow.. look at them enjoying food that has the potential kill me :'] )
"So, what happened between you and your classmates?" He asked.
"What?"
"You usually hang out with them during breaks."
"Oh that..." I trailed off.
"What?"
"Its nothing Shinsou." I shook my head dismissively.
"Hm.. Somehow i don't believe it."
"What can i say Shinsou? I just did something bad and now i cant bring myself to face them."
"How bad was it?"
"Really bad.." i sighed.
I mean, its already out the bag. It's not entirely a secret anymore... "Do you remember?" I asked with a heavy heart.
"Remember what?" He asked.
"The day when we fought during the sports festival."
I started the story off, compared to everyone else, Shinsou is the only one who has actually seen the kyuubi. So it made sense to start there. I told him how feelings like anger, sadness and anything negative feeds the kyuubi. Then sometimes it takes over when im knocked unconscious during fights and when im emotionally stressed. How she is alive and well in me. Of course, he heard the news that happened in Camino ward and the most recent one... I told him how i may have lashed out at them and potentially frightened them. I kept it vague but it was still in there.
"So, now you're scared of knowing how they feel because of how they reacted?" He asked.
"Yeah. I don't know how to approach them after all that." I sighed. "The last thing i want is to see my friends look at me with disgust and fear but fear was exactly what i saw." She recalled their reactions the moment she turned around.
"You were under a lot of stress. It's amazing how you stuck through with it. I think your friends get that too. You can try and hide away but you can't escape them. You live in the same dorm, go to the same classes, its just a matter of when." He glanced at me and a small smile crept up his face. "I may not know how much they mean to you or vice versa but even i can tell you guys mean a lot to one another. Out of all the first years in the school you guys have been through a lot together." I stayed quiet for a bit staring down at the food.
"It just hurts me. Every time i look at them i remember lashing out and I don't know how to recover from that."
"Are you afraid of them not trusting you anymore?" He asked.
"Kinda..." I responded guiltily.
"Well that's kind of stupid isn't it?" I snapped my head at him.
"Hey!" Wasn't he just trying to make me feel better earlier?
"What? Im just saying that's stupid." He said looking at me with a raised brow.
"And which part is stupid exactly?" I demanded.
"The not trusting you part. Have you seen them during lunch? Its depressing. They look like someone died."
"Okay now that's just depressing." i pointed out
"What i mean is, they miss you a lot. If they didn't miss you they don't trust you. They trust you well enough that they want you hanging out with them again. If you just quit avoiding them you'd see it."
"Did they set you up to do this?" I asked suspiciously.
"What? No. I did this because you're my friend. Someone had to do it and because you haven't contacted me and you became more distant after Camino ward." Oh.. i looked away scratching my cheek.
"I just..." I trailed off.
"Its okay i get your point anyways." He smiled reassuringly.
"Thanks a lot, Shinsou." I said with a thankful smile.
"Anytime." He placed the food he had beside me and stood up. "I'll be back. Im going to get some drinks real quick." He pointed back at the school. "Anything you want?"
"A (favorite drink) will do."
He nodded and walked away leaving his stuff.
That was sweet of him to talk me into hanging out with my friends again but I don't think i can face them just yet. I haven't completely forgiven myself just yet. So after gaining self confidence I'll have to find a way to apologize...
I continued eating but a sharp call of a falcon caught my attention. I looked up to the sky where sure enough the falcon was soaring. It wasn't just an ordinary falcon, it was a messenger bird. It might have been for me. Quickly i placed the food down and stood up to a more open area and summon the bird glove i had prepared. I brought my hand to my mouth and whistled for the bird to come down. After the bird harshly landed on my hand i pet it to help it calm down then walked back to the tree sitting back down on the ground.
"Lets see what you have for me here." I opened the small backpack it had on its back and pulled out a letter. I placed the falcon down on the ground as i read the letter.
"Heya sis! I finally wrote a letter huh? It too me a while since pervy sage kept blabbering that it was hard to find a bird who would travel that far. Sucks to be him because we eventually found one!
Anyways, pervy sage is in the hot spring while im writing this in the room. He says its for his "research" you know how it is. I hope i you're having a good day wherever you are. We heal quick but rest well okay sis? Don't worry pervy sage and i will come back to visit you soon! This time you wont be asleep that's for sure!
Take care!"
Just like the last one he drew on the corners of the letter. Which i found cute. Guess I'll have to write him a letter later.
After a while, Shinsou came back with the drink he said.
"Thanks!" I said cheerfully taking the drink.
He sat down beside me and we continued on eating, talking letting our thoughts wander while we waited for the afternoon classes to start. I really enjoyed his company. He also made me realize some stuff. So, for that i thank him. He's a good friend to have.

-----NO ONES POV----- (short)
"Hey, you've been training without me have you?" (Y/n) asked.
"Why do you ask?" He looked at her confused at her sudden question.
"Well, you've bulked up since we last met." His face flushed furiously. Was she checking him out?
"You can tell?" He looked down trying to hide his blush.
"Its pretty obvious. Your uniform isn't as lose as it was the last time i saw you. So you've really been gaining muscle huh?" Shinsou couldn't even speak. It was like he lost the ability to form words so he stared nervously at the grass holding the drink in his hand tight but not too tight to make a dent.
(Y/n) smiled and laughed seeing his reaction.
