Jennie groaned feeling her head still aching but much barrable than earlier. She opened her eyes slowly and she was surprised to see Rosé. She thought she'd be seeing her mom the moment she wakes up but she saw her friend instead.
"Oh hi wifey, how are you feeling?" Rosé asked while checking her.
"My head still hurts but I think I can bear it now. Why are you here by the way? Where is my mom?" She asked in confusion.
"You're mom got a call from her work. She said that she needed to be there so she'll have the money to pay for hospital if ever you'll have to be sent there. She kind of had a little problem looking for someone who could look after you though. And girl, it's supposed to be Lisa who should be here." Rosé stated and Jennie's forehead just creased more in confusion.
"What?!" She exclaimed.
"Your mom called Lisa multiple times unfortunately, your BEST FRIEND didn't answer. So she called me." Rosé said and emphasized the words best friend, teasing her.
"That's a good thing, I guess." She mumbled.
Half of her wish that Lisa was the one who came but the other half is stubborn saying its a good thing. Either way, she still feels bad.
"Anyway, let's not talk about her. They're just out there enjoying their outing. By the way, your mom said you still haven't eaten anything. Do you want me to feed you or you'll just do it yourself?" Rosé asked. As if a cue, Jennie's stomach grumbled and the two of them just laughed.
"I can manage." Jennie said and giggled.
Rosé handed the foods to Jennie which the latter happily digged in, stuffing everything in her mouth. Man, she's really hungry. Why was she even planning to famine herself?
"Easy girl. No one's gonna take away your foods." Rosé said and chuckled. Her laughed died down though when she realized something.
She's really starting to be suspicious with Jennie's behavior. First the girl had serious mood swings, she eats like a pig which she doesn't do before and earlier she just passed out and she's feeling nauseous. Plus, she also started behaving differently. She used to wear sexy clothes and mingle with boys though Rosé is certain that her friend never sleep with them. At least that's what she thought. She don't want to think about it but aren't those things the signs of pregnancy? She knew a lot of pregnant women experiencing those signs and they call it morning sickness.
She can't help but to wonder why the hell Jennie is experiencing it. Jennie never mentioned to her that she had a boyfriend and besides, she doesn't even look like she's sexually active. And the only person she knows that Jennie likes is Lisa, though this girl never really admitted it. But how? Even if something happened to them, it would still be impossible for Jennie to be pregnant because they're both girls. She just sighed and shrugged it off. It's not probably like that. Jennie is probably just sick.
She just watch as Jennie devoured the foods.
'Wow, she's gonna be a better mukbanger than me.' She thought to herself.
After a few minutes, Jennie finally finished eating her foods.
"Here, your mom told me to let you take this medicine. This will help ease your headache." Rosé said while handing Jennie the tablet the latter's mom left.
Jennie took it and then put it in her mouth. Rosé gave her a glass of water and she drink it washing the medicine down to her throat. She smiled at Rosé and thanked the latter.
"Jennie how long having feeling like this?" Rosé asked Jennie. She's just curious.
"Hmm I don't remember the exact date but it's been like this for days already. I've been having headaches and I sometimes have urge to puke but sometimes nothing comes out. I don't think it's something serious though. I think it's just because I've been stressing myself too much with school and the 'Lisa Issue'. Y'know what I mean?" She explained.
"Jennie, tell me when was the last time you had your period." Rosé said. She just can't take it anymore, her curiosity is killing her.
Jennie felt like her heart dropped when she realized something. It was like her blood was drained from her face and she gasped in horror. That's when Rosé got an idea. Her speculations could be true then.
"I-it's been two months already. It happens sometimes, right?" She stuttered and her heart was beating madly. It can't be, she can't be pregnant with an unknown man's child!
She's just just nineteen years old for Christ's sake. They're not financially stable, she can't raise a child now. Her mom's gonna kill her!
"Jennie, tell me honestly. Did you by chance y'know did it with someone? Because that isn't impossible if you did?" Rosé asked seriously.
And that's when Jennie bursted into tears. She can't be. She can't be fucking pregnant, not now, not with a stranger's child. She can't keep the baby if ever she's pregnant. She don't even know how to be a mother. She's so not ready.
"It happened on Jackson's party. I swear I didn't want it, Rosé. I just woke up on the next day naked and there was blood on the bedsheet. It hurts everywhere. I don't remember anything. I-I don't even know what exactly happened. I honestly don't even know who it is. I think I was drugged. I was scared then Rosé. I am more scared now." She said while her tears was flowing down her eyes unstoppably.
Rosé's heart aches while watching her friend crying. She can't believe something like that happened to this girl. Who the hell would even do that?
"What was the last thing you remember?" Rosé asked, hoping she'll find a clue.
"The last thing I remember was that me and Lisa drunk the liquor that Kai gave us and then we started feeling different. Kai tried to take me to one of the rooms upstairs on Jackson's house and then Lisa followed to stop him from doing what he was trying to do to me and that was it. I don't remember anything after that. I don't know if it was Kai or someone else." She managed to say in between her sobs.
"So that's why Kai just disappeared. He's the only one who knows what exactly happened. We should search for him." Rosé said.
"Lisa already tried looking for him but she couldn't find him. I tried to just forget what happened but how can I do that if you're right about me being pregnant? Rosé, I can't be. I'm just nineteen and I'm still studying. You know we're barely living. My mom is gonna kill me." She cried.
"Whatever happens, I'll always be here for you. I'm going to help you with whatever you need. But now try to calm down. We're not even sure yet." Rosé said and hugged Jennie. Jennie cried on her friend's shoulder.
Now, she had another reason to avoid Lisa. If she's really pregnant, Lisa would be turned off with her and she can't let Lisa take responsibility for the child that isn't hers. Oh God, Jennie's mind is under a catastrophic situation right now. There are a lot of what ifs and how's in her mind right now and it's making her head hurt again.
She just can't explain how scared she is now.
"Thank you, hubby. Please don't tell anyone about this. Especially, Lisa." She said.
"You can trust me wifey. I'm good at keeping secret by the way. You want me to buy you a pregnancy test?" Chaeyoung asked. Jennie thought about it for a few seconds until she finally said yes. She wants to know but at the same time she don't because she's scared that it might be positive.
She really don't know what to do if she's really pregnant. She don't even know who the father is. How is she gonna explain this to her mother?
Speaking of her mom, that woman is working her ass off almost everyday with only few hours of rest just to provide Jennie what she needs and to help her have a better future someday but this problem will surely break her mother's heart. It's like those efforts will go to waste.
Her life could be ruined.
Just thinking about it is making her weep again. Though Rosé is there to comfort her, she can't just calm down. This is a freaking serious matter, her future is at sake.
"Shhhh it's not confirmed yet. Stop crying, you could be just stressed. There are people who have irregular menstruation. So calm down. We'll find out if you're really pregnant if you take the test or much better if you visit an OB. Do you want to?" Rosé said while patting her back.
"I can't afford it. I don't even have money." She answered.
"Don't worry about that. I'll take care of it." Rosé said.
"No, Rosé you've done enough already by taking care of me today. I don't even know how to repay you."
"Wifey, don't think about it. We're friends, I'm just trying to help. Let's do it to remove those uncertainty. And whatever is the result, I hope you'll be strong and accept it." Rosé said.
"Fine." She sighed.

She took a bath and prepared herself while Rosé waited for her downstairs. She don't know how many times she sighed already, she lost counting. She can't help but to feel bad. Everything is just hard for her to take in. Why do problems keep on coming to her anyway?
Could her life be worse? Most probably.
After being satisfied with her fit, Jennie finally went downstairs and Rosé waited for her at the foot of the stair and guided her down when she was at the finally step.
"Are you ready?" Rosé asked and smiled at her.
"I guess."
She wasn't sure actually but she have to do it to have a peace of mind. Well, if she'll have it.
