He took an abnormally long time to finally collect himself and get off the bench. He just couldn't bring himself to. Until... "Yoongi?"
He glanced up to see Hoseok heading towards him wearing his coat and his bag slung over his shoulder. "What are you doing sitting out here it's starting to drizzle."
Yoongi suddenly wanted to run away. He didn't know if he could be cold and snappy with Hoseok right now.
"Uh, nothing" he got to his feet and started walking back to his car.
"Wait, Yoongi are you walking home?!"
Yoongi glanced back. "No, I took my car."
Hoseok nodded slowly like he was thinking. "Uh, okay, well, I take the bus so I'll see you tomorrow!"
Yoongi watched him turn away and start heading towards the bus stop as it started to rain a little heavier.
"Aish," Yoongi growled under his breath before yelling to Hoseok. "HOBI!"
Hoseok jerked to a stop as he had started to run to get out of the rain. "Yeah?!"
"I can give you a ride! If you want."
Hoseok's brow creased and he started walking back towards Yoongi until he was right in front of him. They were both getting wet by now as the rain only continued to get heavier. Neither of them had a raincoat.
"What?"
Yoongi glanced away. He found it hard to look Hoseok in the face.
"A ride. I can give you a ride."
Hoseok smiled widely, looking right into Yoongi's eyes. "I heard you, I just didn't believe you'd actually offer."
Yoongi glared at him for a minute and then turned on his heel. "If you don't want it..."
"Yah! I never said that!" Hoseok ran after him as Yoongi tried to walk as fast as possible just to make his life difficult.
It worked.
"Yah! Min Yoongi! Slow down!"
"Its raining Hoseok, I don't want to get wet."
Hobi thought for a minute while he ran beside Yoongi. "You ever notice that you only call me Hobi when you're yelling at me?"
Yoongi stopped speed walking and turned to him. "No. Why do you care?"
Hoseok shrugged and glanced at his feet. "You could call me Hobi all the time." He looked up grinning at Yoongi and Yoongi didn't really know what to do so he just rolled his eyes and kept walking.
"Is that a no?!"
Yoongi ignored him until they got to the car and he could get inside. Hoseok didn't get in though.
"What are you doing?! Hurry up!"
Hoseok opened the door and leaned in just enough so he could see Yoongi. "But... I'm wet... And... this is a really nice car Yoongi..."
Yoongi rolled his eyes. "Would you sit down if it was a crappy car?"
Hoseok thought for a minute.
"Look it doesn't matter okay, it's my car and I say it's just a car, and there's no point of having a car if you're afraid to sit in it so, sit."
Hoseok eyed him suspiciously, still getting rained on.
"Please, Hobi..."
A delicate smile spread across his face and he finally sat down without another word and closed the door.
"Thank you. Where am I taking you?"
Hoseok pointed to the right of the road. "The café."
Yoongi frowned. "Not ho-"
Shit. He knew Hobi didn't have a place to stay and yet he was still being a dumbass.
"Right, yes okay, café it is."
Hoseok smiled sheepishly.
Yoongi muttered a quick "Sorry."
Hoseok shook his head and clasped his hands together. "Don't be. You didn't do anything wrong."
Yoongi nodded slowly. He still felt bad.
"Thank you for driving me, by the way."
"No problem." Yoongi couldn't help but feel guilty that he wouldn't be able to drive Hoseok every day. He should have thought about that.
Maybe he could lend Hobi his car. That could work. Or not, it wasn't that important.
