It's takes Yoongi an unbearable 30 minutes to get downtown and he's panting like an idiot when he sprints into the waiting room.

"Namjoon, seriously, what the hell happened!?" He wheezes, hands on his knees.

Namjoon gets up looking dazed and walks over, wrapping his fingers around Yoongi's forearm. Yoongi isn't sure if it's to support him or Namjoon; he looks so pale.

"Jin's—Jin's dad had a heart attack."

"Oh, god, Namjoon—"

"They're not sure if he's going to make it..." Namjoon's eyes are red and bloodshot and so, so desperate. "...I mean I barely knew the man, but Jin. God Jin's his—he's Jin's..."

Yoongi nods understanding and pulls Namjoon into his arms. "I know, Namjoon. I know. It's okay, it's going to be okay."

Yoongi knows it's a stupid lie, he has no idea how bad the situation is. He just has to get Namjoon through the moment because he needs to be there for Jin. Jin is going to—

"Where's Jin?"

Namjoon stiffens and pulls away looking worried. "He went to talk to the doctors a while ago, he should be—"

"—Please just let me see him he'll be so scared just let me talk to him—"

Jin appears rounding the corner on the heels of a clearly very tired doctor.

"Look, I already told you, he needs to rest, the best I can give you is seeing him when he wakes up, but having visitors right now will only worsen his condition." The man stops and turns to Jin with sympathetic eyes. "This is the best thing for him. I promise."

Namjoon immediately draws close behind Jin when he lays eyes on him.

"He's right Jin, come on, he's going to be okay, let's just... sit down and calm down and... c'mon," he takes Jin's hand and gently coaxes him to the waiting area, allowing the doctor to leave and leaving Yoongi feeling like he's intruding on something sacred.

"I'll go get food and tea." He mutters.

Namjoon nods reassuringly and pulls Jin into his arms.

Tea is surprisingly hard to find in the hospital. It isn't completely huge but it's decently over-sized and there's a lot of signs that aren't 'Tea this way'. Eventually he ends up bribing a nurse with Hoseok's sticky notes that he never got to give to him and returns to Jin and Namjoon with two cups of warm tea. He finds them talking to the doctor again with concerned faces.

"So, we can see him now?"

"Yes, but just 10 minutes, he still needs to rest."

Yoongi comes up behind them and sets the cups down feeling overwhelmingly useless. "Can I do anything?" He quickly asks as Namjoon starts to leave, following Jin and the doctor.
