"I thought Yoongi was coming..."
"Ugh, no, no, he had to work." Namjoon scratches his neck awkwardly and grabs a handful of popcorn.
Jimin groans, sitting back in his chair, "Yeah, and you guys don't?" Jin nudges him, never taking his eyes off the screen, "Just enjoy the movie Jimin, it's one of my favorites."
Jimin sighs, but complies. It was easy to get lost in the sweet romantic comedy that played out before his eyes. Easy to forget that he was here in a movie theatre with his two friends in the middle of the day because he can't stand being around his housemates. Yeah. It's easier this way. Especially when Namjoon and Jin leave for over twenty minutes 'to go get more popcorn.' It leaves Jimin alone and questioning his whole existence. Why did Namjoon even invite him, god.
He feels utterly pathetic.
Around minute twenty-three of just sitting there alone in the dark, half-empty room, he decides to leave. It wasn't going to do him any good to watch the two male leads fight over the girl for the last hour of the movie anyway.
He grabs his coat and begins to trudge down the ramp on the side of the seating area when he bumps into someone.
"Oh sorry."
The woman laughs, and while Jimin couldn't really see her face, he recognizes the sound easily.
"Oh my god! Ash! It's been so long!" He can't stop a huge grin from spreading across his face as she gasps and quickly hugs him. "Jimin?! What is up?"
Someone clears their throat loudly next to them and they both turn in annoyance.
"Could guys please keep it down?"
Ashley hisses at them but takes Jimin's hand, "You wanna catch up outside? I honestly couldn't care less about this movie." She gives him the biggest grin and he snorts, nodding quickly. "Hell yeah."
He follows her out of the theatre and down one of the smaller hallways in the building, unable to believe what's happening.
"So. Park Jimin, what's been going on with you?!"
Jimin laughs awkwardly and runs a hand through his hair, "Nothing much, still got the café. Taking a break from dancing for a while..."
Ashley tilts her head; she's still holding his hand and squeezes it gently. "Really? How come? Your dancer's body is one of the main reasons I fell for you!" She gives him a cheeky grin at the last part and he can't help but laugh.
"No reason, just don't have the time."
She smiles sympathetically and nods. "I wish I had a situation like that. Here I am seeing a movie in the middle of the day because there's nothing else to do."
He tilts his head. "Really? You? No girlfriends or boyfriends running around to entertain you?"
She shrugs and shakes her head. "Nope." Then raises an eyebrow with that same cheeky grin, "Why, you still single? You wanna get out of here?"
Jimin laughs nervously. "I-I mean yeah, but no, I can't." He seems to be saying that a lot lately.
"Aw, why not?"
"I'm here with some friends..." He shrugs and let's his hands drop from hers. "It wouldn't be right to just leave them."
A smile spreads across her face, "Really?! Tae and Jk are here?! You should have told me I miss them like crazy! Can I say hi?"
His face faulters and he quickly shakes his head. "N-no... Namjoon... Namjoon and Jin."
She pauses, examining his expression. It sure as hell wasn't doing normal things so he couldn't blame her. If he had to guess, it was probably caught between constipated and joy.
