Elliott sat at the the end of the coffee table, in front of disgustingly looking Jell-O with five empty bowls around it. Y/n and Diego both sat next to each other in chairs across from Vanya and Luther, who sat on the couch. Diego messed with his knives, unsheathing and organizing. Everyone looked bored out of their minds.

"Y'all know, Jell-O used to be a delicacy." Elliott unclasped his hands, motioning around at the group, "You know, in order to make it, you gotta boil down a whole mess of hooves... you know, horses, cows, pigs, it doesn't matter."

"Yeah, it doesn't matter." Y/n mumbled under her breath, throwing her head back in boredom.

"But not everyone has a mess of hooves just lying around." Elliott continued to explain, "It wasn't until, uh... a couple of sassy New Yorkers figured out how to dry it out so that the rest of us could have a... a chance to enjoy this ambrosia."

"If we have some, will you shut up?" Diego asked, turning his head toward the man.

"Maybe." Elliott clasped his hands together again.

"You will or I'll make you." Y/n sarcastically smiled, putting her feet up on Diego's thigh.

"Here." Elliott started scooping up the nasty Jell-O. Luther and Y/n had a look of repulsion on their face.

"How are feeling?" Luther turned his head to his left, looking over at Vanya.

"Pretty shitty, to be honest." Vanya answered, not moving an inch.

"Where would you say you are on a scale from one to..." Diego paused, twirling a knife repeatedly in the air, "ending all life on this planet?"

"Really?" Vanya asked him, putting both hands on her stomach.

Y/n lifted one leg up, bringing it back down on his leg harder, making him quietly groan in pain, "Diego, do you know how to shut the fuck up."

"Diego," Luther leaned forward, "put the knife away, you idiot. She's fine."

"The last time I saw this one, she had me suspended in midair, sucking the life out of me with energy tentacles." He stopped twirling the knife and pointed it at Luther, "I think I'm allowed a little time to process."

"Oh, I would love to see an energy tentacle." Elliott spoke up, pointing lightly at Vanya.

Vanya sat up, "I don't remember what I did, but I'm sorry... if... if that means anything."

Diego put his hand holding the knife down, "It does." He looked up at Vanya, "I'm going through a lot right now. There's a girl that I like, but she has a very strange way of expressing her feelings."

"Doesn't everyone else in this room?" Y/n put her feet down, "Sorry, if I don't know how to 'express feelings.'" She made quotation marks with her fingers.

The bells jingling as the door opened downstairs. Allison's laughter could be heard. "Oh, thank God." Luther let out a breathe, going to stand up.

"Hello?" Allison asked, her voice ringing through the building.

Y/n rushed to feet, running over to the staircase. She ran down a couple of steps, then jumped over the banister. The two girls tackled each other to the floor.

"Y/n! It's been so long!" Allison hugged Y/n tighter as they sat up.

"It's only been a couple of days for me, but I still have missed you so much!" Y/n rested her head on Allison's shoulders.

"Aw." Klaus let out, looking at the two friends. Y/n and Allison stood up, helping each other.

"I know this is impossible, but did we all get sexier?" Klaus questioned, taking his sunglasses off.

Allison looked up, seeing her sister, "Vanya."

"I can't believe I have two sisters." Vanya said, smiling.

Y/n raised her hand, "I'm not your sister, but I think of you as one." Everyone started to come down the stairs. Y/n stood on her toes and whispered in Allison's ear, "She has a concussion and doesn't remember most things." Allison nodded at Y/n's statement.

Vanya now stood in front of Allison. "I missed you." Allison said, smiling down at her sister.

"Thank God, someone did." Vanya chuckled softly. They both chuckled softly, going to hug each other.

Diego told Klaus, "Oh, you are drunk."

"Yeah. No, just a little... just a few..." Klaus stumbled over his words.

"Heya, Klaus." Y/n went over to him to give him a hug.

"Klaus, is Ben here?" Five questioned.

Klaus pulled away from the embrace, leaving an arm on her shoulder, "Oh, uh... no. No, unfortunately, ghosts can't time travel." Y/n could tell that Klaus was lying. Ben was somewhere in the building.

"All right, then. Let's get down to business." Five stated, going to walk up the stairs, the rest of the group slowly following after.

Allison still stood in the foyer, "Hey, Diego. Can't say hi to anybody."

"Hi, Allison." Diego spoke quietly, walking towards the stairs.

"What was that?" Allison called out, walking up the other set of stairs.

"Hi, Allison!" Diego yelled out.

"Thank you!"

"So what was that all about?" Diego whispered, leaning down a little to speak to Y/n.

"What do you mean?" She asked, leaning against the banister at the top of the stairs,

"I mean, you hugging Allison and Klaus like it's nothing."

She answered, crossing her arms, "Gosh, Knife Boy. They are friends. I know how friend relationships work, not a real one, because I've never been in one."
