On the 12th hour of the first day of October, 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. One of these women, a dirty, poor, and sick widow on the Åland Islands of Finland, died in the process of giving birth to what would be the last of the eight children eccentric billionare Reginald Hargreeves would adopt into his project, The Umbrella Academy. Her adopted family would find out very quickly that she was special not only due to her ability to shift between dimensions, but also her comprehensive medical complications. A stroke at infancy, heart murmur, and Lymphoma to name a few. Abused by Sir Hargreeves for being paramount to central intelligence, the Hargreeves children are raised to believe that Ragna's ability only allows her soul to shift between planes (hence her codename, 'The Shift'). However, it isn't until after her father's death that a terrifying secret is revealed to Ragna: her powers truly encompass so much more. And the fate of the world might depend on her using them.
