(20) Love vs. Lust

As soon as I saw his car stop outside the house I opened my window and slipped outside. I ran to his car and jumped in. I didn’t want to get caught, I was actually really looking forward to this.

“Hi” Gordon said smiling his cute smile at me. I smiled back and leaned forward giving him a hug as butterflies started flying around in my stomach. I tried ignoring them but it was pointless.

“Hi” I said sitting back in my seat. I thought I would have blushed but I didn’t. Everything just felt so easy with him. We pulled back onto the street and made our way to the beach. It only took forty five minutes this time since there was no traffic. Gordon parked the car and grabbed some towels from the back seat before getting out. We walked down the beach to the edge of the water which was absolutely beautiful under the starlit sky. Gordon placed the towels on the sand for us to sit on them.

“So, what’s bothering you so bad that you can’t sleep?” Gordon asked as he sat down and patted the towel next to him.

“It doesn’t matter, let’s just enjoy being here” I stated still not sure if I could tell him. I mean, I knew I could tell him and that he would be cool about it but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to. I wasn’t sure if I wanted him to know about Cole.

”No, first you are going to tell your long horrible story to me so that I can play superhero and make you feel better and then we can enjoy ourselves” Gordon said jokingly but I could tell that he was serious. I took a deep breath and told him the whole story. How I used to hate Cole and how I thought I was in love with him. I told him about Reagan and the baby and that Cole came to see me tonight.

“Do you love him?” Gordon asked not giving away how he was feeling about anything that I just told him.

“I don’t know” I replied honestly. Gordon nodded his head in understanding.

“You should figure it out before you let anything happen between the two of you or you are going to end up getting hurt again” he stated looking deep in thought.

“I know, I told him that I had to think about things before he left tonight” I replied feeling much better now that I had talked to Gordon about everything.

“Ok, so now it is time to enjoy ourselves, what did you have in mind?” Gordon asked looking at me curiously. I had no idea what I had in mind when I said that we should enjoy ourselves earlier but as he asked the question I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

“We’re going for a swim” I answered getting up from the towel with Gordon looking at me with excitement in his eyes. I giggled as I slipped off my shoes.

“Are you serious?” He asked getting up.

“Yip” I replied pulling my t shirt over my head, revealing my bra to him. He swallowed and then looked away for a second before regaining his composure and looking back. I loosened the buttons on my jeans and pulled them off, letting them fall to the ground. His eyes flicked over my body and I couldn’t help but smile at him. It’s not like I could blame the poor boy for looking, I had just stripped my clothes off in front of him after all.

The strangest thing was that I didn’t panic while doing it. I did feel shy but not once did I feel like he was going to judge me or not like what he saw.

“So, are you coming or not?” I asked stepping towards the water. He looked hesitant but then pulled off his shirt. He wasn’t built like Cole but he was toned in all the right places, I couldn’t help but look over his body as he started undoing his jeans. He slipped them off and took a step towards me in his boxers. That’s when I noticed two long cuts running down the length of each of his arms.

My eyes locked on them and I couldn’t get myself to look away.

“That’s why they all think I’m crazy” he said turning his arms out so that I could get a better look at them.

“Oh” is all I could manage to say.

“I did try to kill myself, but I’m not crazy” he said pulling his arms back. I nodded my head looking up into his eyes. They were filled with sadness and worry. I had no idea what had happened but I didn’t believe that he was crazy for one second.

“I don’t think you’re crazy” I whispered staring into his dark eyes.

“I can tell you what happened if you want to know” he said, his voice shaking a bit. I could tell that it was hard for him to talk about it.

“Not now, we’ll leave that for another night, it’s time to have some fun now” I replied watching as a smile crept over his face.

I ran into the water ignoring the fact that it was ice cold. When I was deep enough in I dived under the water and only came up when I started running out of air. The water felt great and made my body relax even though I was shivering. I scanned the beach and the water to see where Gordon was and felt myself starting to panic when I didn’t see him. I was just about to scream his name when I felt something touching me from behind. I panicked for a second but realized what was going on before I started freaking out.

I felt his arms move around my waste causing little shivers of pleasure to run down my body. For a second I thought about Cole and whether I really wanted to be doing this but the thought didn’t last long. I turned around in his arms and felt my whole body start to tingle from the way he was looking at me. His eyes weren’t filled with lust but with love.

“Gordon” I whispered softly, my heart racing in my chest.

“Yeah?” he asked not looking away from my eyes.

“I’m really enjoying this” I whispered back, my voice cracking as he pulled me closer and lifted me up against his body so that I was face to face with him.

“I was hoping you would” he replied as he leaned forward and gently pressed his lips against mine.
