"Ugh." I groaned as I put my bag down on the table.
"Whats up with you?"Kourtnie asked me, I was now in solos choir, a special choir for us teenagers who had really nice voices.
"Boys." I groaned again.
"That's why I play for the other team." my friend Mica said from behind me.
"Ah! Mica don't scare me like that, geese your gonna give me a heart-attack!"I yelled at her. In this class there were only about ten people. Me, Kourtnie, Mica, Nadine, Alika, and Chaney, no boys which didn't surprise me. All the guys with good voices, graduated last year.
"Oh my gosh! Have you seen him?!" Alika ran up to me screaming, how loud can these people get?
"Yes, and he is a prick. A selfish, rich-kid, who drives a Ferrari and gets any girl he wants"I stared blankly at me, she had her jaw hanging open looking at me like I was nuts.
"Your weird." she stated.
"Ialready knew that dipshit"I giggled.
"What are y'all arguing about this time?" Nadine and Chaney said at the same time.
"She doesn't think New Hot Guy is hot!" apparently she didn't know his name. Everyone in the room except Mica gaped at me...
"What? He is good looking I guess, but he's a prick." I argued, and as soon as I said that, he walked in the room. I stared in horror, Mica started laughing, and everyone else stared at him in awe.
"So you think I'm 'good-looking'?" he asked, I narrowed my eyes at him.
"No, I lied." I said.
"You can't lie to me." he said, as if he'd known me my whole life.
"You just met me this morning!" I yelled, and once again, before he could say anything, Ms.Sham hushed us. I sighed and sat down, I loved Ms.Sham's class.
"Alright girls let's warm u-..... Ohhh, hahahahahah!"she laughed in herloud awkward laugh."I'm sorry, girls and boy, let's warm up."We all laughed a little and started warming up. I noticed Brandon was standing in the empty new tenor section, he looked kinda scared, it was weird. I wanted to go stand next to him, but I refused. After a few minutes of warming up, we stopped."Brandon, since your new here I was wondering if you could try to learn this song, it's a duet, and seeing as it's almost Christmas, I want you and..."she thought for a moment."You and Velanie, I want you two to sing the duet together."she handed us the song and walked into her office, why was all my teachers pairing us up?! It didn't make sense!
"Go practice!" Mica snapped at us and pushed us into the recording room, she also locked us in here... Shit.
I just looked down at the song and noticed the title... 'Baby It's Cold Outside.'I about screamed, was she really making us sing this???? I started flipping through the lyrics and humming without noticing I was.
"Sing it, don't hum it, humming will get you nowhere." Brandon chastised me.
"And what do you know about music?" I taunted.
" Lots my mom is a singer at a restaurant, she studied music, but never got that great of a job."he sighed.
"Oh...." that was all I could say, what else was I supposed to say?
"Anyways, let's practice." he said.
I started singing my part first, learning my words, I glanced over at Brandon quickly, he seemed to not be paying attention, I just continued singing. Suddenly, to my shock, he started singing too.
