~ Spoopy Szn is spent scaring the shit out of one another. You're jumpy on a good day, so the instant you have to flip over the September page on your calendar, you're on your guard constantly. Tom could be in another city altogether to visit a friend for the day but you'll still flinch at the slightest noise, and hide in the closet just in case after the day he was supposed to be with his family and instead spent the whole day holed up in the closet to stand sinisterly at the end of the bed in a mask just as you were going to sleep - so naturally you got your revenge by putting an enormous, non-dangerous snake in the bedroom then locking him in it. The screams that man produced were just gorgeous.

~ "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?"

   "It's a demon doll! Do you like her? She's called Elizabeth! She belonged to this little girl, but the house burned down years ago with her in it! The whole family died! Only the doll survived!"

   "WHY THE FUCK IS IT IN OUR BATHROOM?"

   "See, look, not even a scratch. Do you see? Are your eyes open? Do-"

   "IT JUST FUCKING MOVED HOW DID IT MOVE WHY DID IT MOVE-"

   "She does that! No-one knows how!"

   "FUCK OPEN THE DOOR!"

   "Are you gonna tell him that you've got a remote for it?"

   "Well no, because then he'd know I got it-"

   "IT'S COMING CLOSER, FUCK, Y/N, OPEN THE DOOR!"

   "From Tesco, there is no way I'm spoiling it this early on. Wait, Haz, listen, just listen..."

   "Ring a ring a rosies..."

   "Y/N!"

   "A pocket full of posies..."

~ everyday from Spooktober 1st onward, you both take the time from your day to sit down and watch a scary movie, no matter what's going on in your lives at the moment. If you aren't together then you FaceTime, and press play on the movie on your respective TVs or laptops at the same time so you can still react suitably together. You start small - scary thrillers and failed attempts at horror - and work your way up to the scarier shit laced with jump scares and continual dread as the month goes on.

   "Don't be weird."

   "Seb Pennywise is doing a weird dance HOLD THE FUCKING SCREEN OH MY GOD!"
