"You gotta be fucking joking right now man." I sighed heavily staring at the two people that weren't supposed to be here.

"I just wanted to come here and show my support for Kardi. Hopefully, maybe talk?" Ella looked at Kardi with hopeful eyes. But then her eyes went to our dad frowning deeply.

"I thought you were supposed to be working."

He walked up on her. "I'm sorry Ella. I was showing support for Kardi. I didn't want to come in between you guys drama, so I didn't say anything."

"Lying isn't going to make it better."

"Alright, y'all two can leave now." I told Ella and my mom pointing towards the door.

I noticed my mom was tensed up staring at Ella and my dads every move. I shook my head at her not talking anymore. Not being honest with herself or anyone in this room. She still couldn't tell the truth and her own daughter she cared so much about was standing right next to her.

"Grandpa your phone died." Kody walked over giving him his phone back. It's like the world kinda went in slow motion for a second and everybody went silent.

"I'm sorry, did he just call you grandpa?" Ella questioned looking confused.

"He is my-"

"Kody!" Kardi covered his mouth.

"Since we all here, let's just lay it out on the table." I shrugged becoming fed up.

"I was going to tell you, Ella."

"Tell me what?"

"I'm sorry." My mom finally spoke grabbing Ella's hand.

She snatched away. "Do I know you?"

Tears ran down her face as she looked at me for help. I shrugged as I heard my dad groan in frustration.

"Ella, this is your mother."

"Your lying."

"He's telling you the truth sweetie. I'm your mother." She tried grabbing her hand again.

"DON'T TOUCH ME." Ella yelled causing her to jump. I could see the tears as her bottom lip began to tremble. "Dad, please tell me she's lying."

He didn't say anything but look at her with sad eyes. A loud hurtful sob escaped her mouth as she began to cry. I honestly felt bad because I was once in this position. I knew how it felt to be in her shoes. I took a deep breath walking up to her and pulling her into a tight hug.

I wasn't fucking with her for the shit she said to Kardi but this was now my little sister and I was going to have to face the music one day.

"It's going to be okay."
