"The police called and someone trashed the place and tried setting it on fire."

"WHAT!?" I jumped up out my seat.

"I don't know, Dave. I'm going to try and figure out who did this. Just hurry back because Keith isn't feeling the best. Now, he's arguing with the officer. I'll call you back. Get in contact with Kardi please."

"Okay." I hung up taking a deep breath.

Everyone was staring at me with concern eyes. If it ain't one thing it's another. This couldn't be the right time for something like this.

"I gotta go." I told them.

"Why? What's going on?"

"That was Kardi's mom, someone broke into her studio, trashed the place and tried setting it on fire. I gotta go find Kardi."

"What about me?" The girl said. I looked at her and it took everything inside of me not to smack this hoe.

"Ace, handle that. Bye." I jogged out getting into the rental car. I pulled out my phone calling Kardi but got no answer once again. I know she said she was going to be with Chris today. I called him hoping for an answer.

"What's up, bro?"

"Where's Kardi?"

"Uhh, she just left about 10 minutes ago. She is drunk as hell."

I didn't say anything but hang up in his face. I speed off to the hotel leaving Mike, Speed, and Profit. I tapped my hands against the steering wheel as I sat at a red light. After 10 long minutes, the light finally turned green and I was at the hotel. I raced up to our room banging on the door.

"You scared the shit out of me." Rose snatched the door open.

"Where's Kardi?"

"Passed out in the room." I walked in seeing her laying out across the bed snoring. I began shaking her body to get her up.

"Stop." She groaned.

"Something happened to the studio. You need to get up." As if those words sobered her up. She jumped up real quick looking at me.

"What?"

"Someone broke into your studio, trashed the place and almost set it on fire. Your mom called saying she's down there talking with the officers."

"Please tell me your joking."

I shook my head. "I wish I was."

"No, no, no." She grabbed her phone calling her mom I assume.

"Kardi, it's not looking good." Her mom said. She didn't say anything but stare at the phone. "Kardi."

"Yes?" Just barely below a whisper.
