Chapter 2

I woke up, sitting up from the bed. I felt empty, why..?

I looked over myself, I was normal.

Qrow: You awake now?

My head snapped to him and I frowned slightly but nodded.

(Y/N): What happened to me.

Qrow: Whats the last thing you remember?

I sat in silence awhile when a scene popped in my head and I felt my heart stop.

(Y/N):... I...

Qrow listened closely.

(Y/N): I killed Ozpin.

I felt the tension in the room suddenly rise as I frowned.

Qrow: You... You're kidding right..?

I looked to him, Guilt clear on my face as he suddenly grabbed the front of my shirt and slammed me against the wall as I remained silent.

Qrow: He trusted you!

(Y/N): I-

???: It's not his fault.

We looked over to see Ruby sitting up from the bed.

Qrow: Squirt. You aren't supposed to be awake yet...

Ruby: It isn't his fault. It was Cinder.

I looked down.

(Y/N): That's...

Qrow: Not another word. She isn't a part of this.

(Y/N): Qrow, she is bound to follow the path.

Qrow: I will not let her go this soon..!

Ruby: I'm right here!

I pursed my lips and looked away.

(Y/N): I'll leave.

I easily knocked Qrows hand from me and sped walk out. I can't be here. I was a killer, it's my fault.

I was about to step into the forest when someone grabbed my hand, I looked back to see Ruby.

Ruby: Seraph...

(Y/N): ...

Ruby: (Y/N).

I looked to her, depressed about my situation.

Ruby: No matter who you are or what you are, you are still my friend.

(Y/N): Do you want to hear my story?

I stared at her as her eyes widened but soon after she nodded. I gestured her to follow as we sat under a tree, side by side.

(Y/N): I... I was normal. Like you. I graduated top of the class at Signal. So of course, I went to Beacon. My... Semblance was called Future Sight. It gave me the ability to see to the future be it years or seconds.

I looked to her as she absorbed what I told her.

(Y/N): Then Atlas came. Ironwood told me this was for our people. For the world. I blindly followed.

I looked to the ground, mind wandering.

Ruby: You don't have to tell me...

(Y/N): No, Ruby. I must.

I took a deep breath and continued.

(Y/N): I followed him to Atlas and he brought me to a lab. Told me that in order to save the world, I must go through a series of experiments. He even took some of my blood and soon enough took some of my aura.

Ruby: Is that why-

(Y/N): Thats why I have little to no aura. Yes.

She looked down and I sighed.

(Y/N): I endured it. It was for the world. I wanted to save it. But when I heard my teammate had died... I...

I pursed my lips, closing my eyes as I remembered.

(Y/N): I ran. I broke out of the lab and ran straight into the woods. I... lost consciousness there. But when I woke up-

I heard a crow caw and tensed. Looking around and soon up the tree where I saw the slick black crow with ruby red eyes staring at me.

(Y/N): Next time. I'll tell you when youre ready.

Ruby: When will that ever be..?

(Y/N): When Qrow decides it.

I stood up and Ruby scrambled after before I turned to leave.

Ruby: Wait!

I looked back.

Ruby: Tell me... How Ozpin... Died.

I grimaced.

I looked to my hand and it grew bone armor, turning black.

(Y/N): I killed him. We fought under ground, in order to save Pyrrha... He fought me. In the end he charged at me and killed himself on my claw.

I raised my arm and soon frowned.

(Y/N): But... For some reason. He started... Glowing? I was knocked out and woke up with a clear mind. I don't really understood it myself either...

Oscar.

Haven.

I gasp in pain, my grimm arm grabbing. The bone armor and black goop turning to dust as I turned normal. Falling to my knees as I heard his voice.

(Y/N): Haven. I must go to Haven.

I hissed as I took deep breaths to calm down, steady myself and hope the pain disappears as it soon does.

Ruby by my side as she looks lost.

Ruby: Happened..?

(Y/N): I... I dont know.

Ruby: Follow me then.

I looked to her.

Ruby: That woman said she was from Mistral. Follow me to Haven.

(Y/N): Ruby...

Ruby: You were being controlled. Its not your fault...

I looked down and nodded.

(Y/N): I'll follow you...

She smiled and held her hand out.

Ruby: Let's get breakfast first then! I'll be asking Jaune and his team as well.

I frowned and nodded.

Ruby: Hey... You trust me don't you..?

I looked to her.

Ruby: It will be fine...

(Y/N): Okay...
