One Night Longer

I was walking inside now, I had the cat under my arm as I walked to the kitchen, I saw both Jane and CLockwork were in there.
"Hey, girls." I greeted.
"Hey." They greeted back.
"How are you two doing?" I asked.
"Fine." Clockwork said, "We're still getting all the ingredients."
"Okay." I said, "When can you get them done?" I asked.
"We'll start baking in the morning." Jane said, "Then it should take about an hour and a half for them to be done."
"Okay." I said, "I guess I'll see you tomorrow, then."
"Bye!" Both of them said as they waved.
I then left the room with Kojo.
"Please don't let Skully take me." He said as he looked up at me slightly, "I don't want to watch the things he does anymore."
"I don't want to know." I said as I started carrying him off, "I'll just hold onto you."
"Yay." He said, almost as if he were unamused.
I carried him off to the bedroom and went in, Toby was laying on the floor in only a towel, I just stood silently as I stared at him, out of the edge of my vision I saw Kojo look up at me in worry, I cautiously went over and gently nudged him with my foot, whatever he said was completely unintelligible, I crouched down and set Kojo down.
"Um... what was that?" I asked.
He repeated himself, or at least I think he did, it was still complete nonsense to me, I reached over and poked his side.
"Dude." I said, "Move your face so I can hear you."
He rolled over and whined loudly, then began to wail, I had no clue what was going on but it kind of looked like he was pretending to throw a fit, he then laid back down on his face, I looked up at Kojo to see his level of concern was rising, I looked back down at Toby quietly, I then pushed him over so he was laying on his stomach, he looked upset.
"Is there something wrong, bud?" I asked, "What's up?"
He gave me a pouty lip.
"What happened?" I asked as I poked his lip.
He whined slightly as he turned his head away.
"That doesn't answer my question." I said as I poked his cheek, "Why are you pouting?"
"I got y-yelled at..." He muttered.
"Why?" I asked as I moved his wet hair slightly.
He looked kind of sad, I combed his hair with my fingers.
"He s-said I w-was immature..." He said quietly, "And y-yelled at m-me because of i-it..."
"I don't care if you're immature." I said as I looked him in the eyes, "Honestly, we're both kind of immature."
I saw him smile slightly.
"I think that makes us such a good couple." I said as I messed up his hair slightly, "But I don't mind it at all."
He poked my nose.
"If you s-say so." He said.
"Oh god, please don't." Kojo suddenly said.
We both looked over at him.
"I tried to avoid this shit by avoiding Skully." Kojo said, "I don't want to watch things go downhill!"
Toby and I both quietly looked at each other, I then stood up.
"Are you going to get dressed?" I asked.
He was quiet for a second before he looked down at himself.
"I g-guess I should..." He trailed off.
"Yeah, you could catch another cold." I said.
He whined and began to get up, I just began going over to my bed as Toby began to get clothes, I laid down and pulled my pillow close, I felt Kojo jump up next to me and lay down on the back of my head, I just let him, after a minute I felt Toby climbing into bed with me, I glanced over at him slightly, knocking Kojo off my head.
"My bed?" I asked.
"I've just g-got a b-bad feeling about t-tonight..." He muttered.
I reached over and wrapped my arm around him.
"Okay." I said, "Then you can stay here with me."
"Ugh, gag me with a spoon." Kojo said.
"I can arrange th-that." Toby said as he held up a spoon.
"Where did you get that?" I asked, "Where were you keeping it?"
He just shrugged.
"I..." Kojo trailed off, "Nevermind."
Toby just tossed the spoon onto the floor, I couldn't help but chuckle at him, he moved a little closer and I rubbed the back of his head, Kojo suddenly hopped on my head and I reached over to him, I pushed him off my head and began to pet him, he happily purred.
"How l-long do you think i-it'll t-take for you t-to fall asleep?" Toby asked.
"I don't know." I replied.
We then both were quiet, I just continued to pet Kojo, after a moment I felt something glide over my belly button, I looked down to see Toby's hand on my stomach, I looked up at him to see he was staring intently at my stomach with his tongue sticking out.
"Are you alright there, Tobes?" I asked.
He quickly stuck his tongue back into his mouth and pulled his hand away, he looked up at me with wide eyes, a slight blush on his cheeks.
"Uh..." He trailed off.
I smiled at him slightly.
"Having fun with my belly button?" I asked.
He bit his lip slightly as he looked away from me, I couldn't help but laugh slightly.
"I don't mind." I said as I ran my fingers through his hair, "You looked cute with your tongue hanging out like that."
He looked up at me slightly, I felt his hand on my stomach again and I turned my attention back to Kojo, he was basically asleep, I just sat there enjoying everything, but after only a minute I felt Toby move his hand, I looked back down at him to see he had tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Hey." I said softly as I pushed his chin so he'd face me, "What's wrong?"
He reached up and wiped his cheek slightly.
"I w-was j-just th-thinking..." He said quietly, I could hear soft sobbing from him.
"About what?" I asked as I rubbed the back of his head.
He was quiet, I rubbed the back of his head slightly.
"Toby...?" I asked, "You can tell me."
"I w-was... th-thinking ab-bout p-people... I u-used t-to know..." He said sadly, "W-what they're th-thinking about m-me right n-now..."
He lowered his head slightly as his tics got worse.
"Ab-bout... u-us..." He muttered, "W-what d-does Lyra th-think...?"
His tears were getting worse, I pulled him closer to me.
"I think Lyra's happy." I said, "She's happy that you're alive, and she's happy that you've found someone who loves you."
I ran my fingers through his hair slightly.
"I'm sure all she cares about is how happy you are." I said softly, "And she's happy for you."
I felt him grip the front of my shirt, I kissed the top of his head.
"And regarding your dad..." I trailed off, "He can suck shrooms."
I heard him snicker slightly, I reached down and cradled his face, He looked up at me with his red, puffy eyes, I kissed his cheek.
"I love you so much." I said, "You're the best thing to ever happen to me."
He wrapped his arms around me, snuggling close, I wrapped an arm around him and used my free hand to pet Kojo, I was in a good spot right here, this was the best.
