Friend Time

I slowly opened my eyes to see Toby sitting on top of me, he was giggling like a moron as he was staring at me.
"The fuck are you doing...?" I asked tiredly.
He giggled a bit more and I glared at him.
"You r-really do look cute." He said with that dopey smile of his.
I gave him an even more confused look, I reached up touched my head to feel the cat ears, I couldn't help but laugh.
"I guess I deserve this." I said, "I woke you up with this."
He giggled at me again and I pushed him off me, he laughed as he rolled around on the bed, I sat up and watched him for a minute, I looked up at the clock to see it was nearly noon.
"Oh geez." I said, "It's already midday?"
"Yeah, that's w-what I thought t-too." Toby said as he sat up, "But I don't know."
I looked around the room to see basically nothing changed, as usual, I looked back at Toby.
"Are you feeling better than yesterday?" I asked.
"Yup!" He said as he smiled brightly, "Thanks for e-everything!"
"No problem." I said, smiling right back, "You actually got me to sleep."
I watched as his face slowly lit up.
"I did, didn't I?!" He asked excitedly, his hands smacking together.
"Yeah." I chuckled, "I slept all through the night, all because you didn't want me to leave you."
He laughed wildly as he squirmed around, I couldn't help but laugh at him, I reached up and took the cat ears off.
"So, any clue why we weren't woken up?" I asked.
"I think w-we're home alone." He said, "I h-haven't heard anyone."
I let out a slight sigh, then began to get up, I looked at Toby again.
"Are you sure you're feeling okay?" I asked, "I don't want you overworking yourself."
"I'll be fine." He said as he waved his hand dismissively, "All fine... yeah, fine..."
I raised my eyebrow at him.
"Are you sure?" I asked, "You're already acting weird."
Before he could say anything I threw my hand in the air.
"Wait, nevermind." I said, "That's just you being you."
We both laughed slightly, he bat my arm slightly.
"You're so mean!" He joked.
"Not yet." I said.
He looked a little scared and quickly jumped off the bed, holding his hands out in front of him.
"No!" He protested, "Don't you dare!"
I basically pounced on him, I grabbed his sides and quickly began to tickle him, he laughed as he attempted to get away from me, I chased him around the room as I kept trying to tickle him, he was shouting curses at me as he tried to run away, I eventually got to him and pinned him to the floor, tickling his sides and making him laugh.
"Stop! Stop! Please!" He begged through his laughter, "Please!"
I finally stopped tickling him and just sat on top of him waiting for him to calm down, once he calmed down I pat his bed.
"Better?" I asked.
"No!" He said in a mildly upset tone.
"Bullshit." I said as I poked his side, "You're having plenty of fun."
He squirmed under me and stuck his tongue out, I grabbed his tongue and he jumped, he let out a slight whine as I laughed at him, I let his tongue go and he huffed angrily at me, I laughed a bit more before I got up, just as I got off him he grabbed my belt loop, he pulled me down and quickly got on top of me, that's when he began to get his revenge, tickling me back, I laughed as I attempted to push him off but he wasn't giving in easily, I struggled with him for a while before he touched my bruised neck, I flinched as I let out a loud yelp as I pushed him off.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Toby apologized as he got up, "I didn't mean to touch it!"
I shuddered slightly as I moved away from him.
"Ow..." I said quietly.
"I'm sorry, I forgot it w-was bruised." Toby said, "I d-didn't mean to hurt you."
"It's okay." I assured him, "Honestly, I forgot it was bruised as well."
I chuckled slightly trying to make him feel better, but now he looked depressed, he looked away from me sadly as he began to mess with the hem of his nightshirt.
"Toby, it's fine." I said, "We'll look at it as you getting payback for all the times I've attacked you."
"But it was n-never you..." He said quietly as he looked away.
I gave him a confused look, he looked away from me more as he continued to mess with his shirt.
"I know... it's n-never you..." He said quietly, "I know y-you wouldn't d-do that t-to me... but the d-demons a-are another matter..."
I was quiet.
"You... always knew it wasn't me?" I asked.
"Yeah..." He said, "I c-could just t-tell."
We both went really quiet, it was honestly kind of amazing how we could go from the happiest people to awkwardly quiet, we simultaneously let out a sigh, we looked at each other slightly.
"I'm sorry..." He said quietly.
"Yeah..." I said quietly, "I am too..."
We went right back to being quiet, I went to say something just as something hit our door, the both of us jumped and looked at it, nothing happened.
"Uh..." I trailed off.
There was another bang on the door.
"Goddamnit." Someone said quietly from outside the door.
Toby got up and opened the door, LJ and BEN were on the other side, they both looked up at Toby quickly, looking terrified.
"The hell are you d-doing?" Toby asked.
"Uh, you know, just..." BEN cut himself off.
He and LJ booked it away from the door, I knew what they wanted so I got up quickly.
"Let's go get them!" I said as I started to chase him.
Toby followed close behind as we chased the two of them through the mansion, we were running down halls, weaving around furniture, ducking through doors and out another, I eventually reached BEN and grabbed him, I tossed him up in the air and got him to scream loudly, I caught him again before I tossed him onto a bed in the room we were in, I wasn't even a hundred percent sure what room we were in, he screamed again as he tried to run away, I grabbed his ankles and started dragging him off the bed, slowly making my way underneath it, like I was a monster under the bed or something, BEN was screaming and calling out for help the entire time I was dragging him, begging for his life.
"What the fuck is going on?" I heard Jeff ask.
"Help meee!" BEN cried.
I laughed darkly at him as I continued to drag him to hell, Jeff was quick to jump on his bed and grab BEN, I grabbed Jeff's ankle and started to Drag him down with me, causing both of them to scream, I was actually having quite a bit of fun, just as I was about to actually pull them off the bed LJ ran in and let out a battle cry, he ran towards me and I had to let go of Jeff to block his assault, I grabbed both of BEN's ankles and dragged him under the bed, causing him to let out a scream.
"No! BEN!" Jeff shouted.
BEN was laughing quite I bit so I covered his mouth, Jeff and LJ were freaking out, soon I heard a panting Toby run into the room.
"Whoa dude, you okay?" Jeff asked.
"Damn you g-guys are fast." Toby panted, "Where'd J-Jack even go?"
"He's under the bed with BEN." LJ replied.
"Yeah, we've already lost someone." Jeff added.
"Oh." Toby said, "Okay then."
I grabbed BEN suddenly and got him to shriek, he attempted to get away but I held him back, I was trying really hard not to laugh at him, he was kicking and squirming.
"No! He's torturing BEN!" Jeff shouted.
"We have to do something!" LJ said.
"What?" Toby asked.
"Oh, we should ask the question." LJ said.
"Question?" Both Toby and Jeff asked.
"Whose side are you on?" LJ asked, "Us, or Eyeless?"
"Um... I don't know." He said.
Jeff made a noise.
"Rouge!" Jeff said.
"The fuck?" Toby asked.
"You have no side!" Jeff said, "Man for hire!"
"What the fuck are you going on about?" I asked from underneath the bed.
"You know, fights for whoever pays." Jeff said, "Man for hire!"
BEN laughed at him, I shook my head slightly as I let out a sigh.
"What's wrong with that?" Jeff asked.
"Uh... I don't underst-tand anything your s-saying." Toby said.
"You don't have to." I said, "He's a moron."
"Hey!" Jeff complained, almost as if he were offended.
BEN laughed at him again, LJ was laughing as well but that wasn't a surprise.
"The fuck are you doing in my room?" I heard Clocky asked.
It was dead quiet.
"Hey, C-Clocky!" Toby said happily.
"Hey, Toby." She said, "Can you answer my question?"
"Oh, we were c-chasing LJ and B-BEN around the house." Toby said happily, "We j-just ended up h-here."
She was silent.
"Alright." She said, "So what exactly are we doing now?"
"Uh... I don't know." Toby said.
"Jeff?" She asked.
"We were trying to figure out what side Toby was on." Jeff said, "We decided he was a man for hire."
"Man for hire, huh?" Clocky asked, "Then I hire him."
"Um... okay." Toby said.
"And what side are you on?" LJ asked.
"Eyeless Jack." She said quickly.
I heard sudden screams of fear, then Toby laughing, I reached out from under the bed and grabbed LJ's legs, he let out a girlish shriek as I began to pull him under, Toby and Clocky were distracting Jeff enough he couldn't save him.
"Hey!" Someone shouted angrily.
We all jumped and quickly looked at the door, Hoodie was standing there looking in.
"Stop." He said calmly, "That's enough."
I let LJ go as Hoodie walked away, BEN and I began to climb out from under the bed.
"I guess that was short lived." I said, "Oh well."
"Yeah, oh well." Jeff said.
"Okay, we'll leave your room now." I said as I turned to Clockwork, "Sorry for intruding."
"It's fine." She waved her hand dismissively, "I got to have a bit of fun too."
We all then started to leave the room, it was a little odd that out of all the rooms in the mansion we ended up in one that was actually being used, but at least it was someone I at least somewhat knew.
