11~Dinner With Team Maverick

Today was the dinner at Logan's house. I don't know why we were going but I couldn't care less. I just can't wait to go! I visited Gabe earlier today and he looked ok. I'm happy he is. His chemo is in 2 days and I'll be going with him.

This morning I woke up and took a quick shower. After I moisturized and tied my hair into a very messy bun. I walked out of the bathroom and down stairs where my dad was.
A. Dad?
M. Yes?
A. Is the dinner like formal or?
M. Well, kinda. Not really. It's Andre's birthday. They are going to the club after. I'm not going their, but you can go.
Andre is Logan's Friend. He is another videographer of his. And I am definitely going to the club! I need to have a little fun after all the stress right now.
A. Ok.
I walked back upstairs and sat in my chair, doing my makeup and changing into my outfit after.
MAKEUP AND OUTFIT

After I finished getting ready, I sat in my bed and scrolled through my phone on Instagram.

After liking a couple of posts, I heard my dad call me that we were leaving. I grabbed my wallet and placed my phone inside, walking out of my room and downstairs. I grabbed my keys and my dad grabbed his. We were going in separate cars since he wasn't going to the club.

When we arrived at the restaurant, my dad and I walked inside. We walked over to Logan's table which was packed. Everyone was clearly dressed for the club. Logan saw us and gave us a weak smile, walking over. I was confused. He looked...sad.
M. How are you doing Logan?
L. I've been doing ok. Thanks Milton.
My dad nodded and bro hugged Logan. They let go and my dad went to sit next to Jake. I looked at Logan confused.
A. Everything alright?
L. Yeah
He gave me a weak smile.
A. Where's Chloe?
Logan scratched the back of his head.
L. Can I talk to you outside?
I nodded and we walked outside the restaurant. We walked over to a corner and I looked at Logan confused.
A. Are you sure everything is ok?
Logan sighed.
L. Chloe and I broke up.
He whispered. My eyes widened and I immediately felt guilty. I opened my mouth.
A. O-oh I-I'm so sorry! I didn't k-know!
I said quickly. Logan quickly shook his head.
L. No no! It's fine. You didn't know.
A. Are you ok?
He shook his head. I gave him a weak smile and hugged him. He was surprised at first, but quickly responded by hugging me back.
A. Why?
L. We both just thought it was better if we were off without each other and saw other people.
I nodded.
A. I know how you feel.
I whispered while hugging him tighter.
L. Thank you.
He whispered. I nodded.
A. We should get back inside. My dad must be waiting and I still have to give Andre his present.
L. Ok
We walked back inside and I grabbed Andre's present out of my bag. I got him a gold watch. I mean, the guy deserves it! He works hard. Plus, I didn't know what to give him!

I walked over to Andre.
A. Hi Andre!
AD. Oh hey Alexis. Glad you could make it!
I pulled him into a hug.
A. Happy Birthday Andre!
I said while ruffling his hair.
He pouted at me.
AD. I just did my hair Alexis!
I laughed.
A. It's fine! You look cute!
He smirked
AD. Alexis, you have a boyfriend.
I softly punched his arm.
A. You know what I mean!
I slightly laughed.
AD, no worries I won't tell him!
He winked and I chuckled.
A. Alright Andre!
I playfully rolled my eyes and sat next to Logan.

The whole Chloe and Logan break up upsets me. They were perfect for each other. I saw how happy Logan was with her. But was he really? Was it just an act? I don't even know anymore! Now he seems upset. Heartbroken. It breaks me.

A. Are you ok?
I whispered
L. Yeah. Thanks.
He whispered back.
A. No problem.

After dinner, we all went to the club. Except for my dad. He said he had somewhere to be. Not sure where, but I couldn't care less right now. We all walked inside and over to a booth.
L. I want to get wasted tonight
A. Are you sure?
L. Yeah.
A. Logan, drinking doesn't help. You know that right?
L. Than why did you do it when you broke up with Gabe?!
I stayed silent.
L. Exactly!
He walked away from me and walked over to the bar. I sighed.
J. Hey Alexis.
I turned around and saw Jake standing their. I smiled.
A. Hey Jake.
J. Has Logan told you?
A. About the breakup?
He nodded
A. Yeah.
J. He's broken.
A. Yeah, I know.
I sighed.
J. I think you could help him.
I looked at him confused,
A. Why me?
J. Alexis, ever since the break up. Logan won't stop talking about you. He said he needs you right now.
A. Me?
I said while pointing a finger at my chest. I barely even know him!
J. Yeah.
A. I'll try?
I said slightly unsure myself.

It's been a couple hours here at the club. I talked to Logan. He surprisingly listened to me. He isn't drinking at all. He is currently sitting next to me on his phone.
A. Turn your phone off!
I grumbled.
L. Why?
He looked at me.
A. Logan your at a fucking club! Not at home!
He whined but turned his phone off and placed it in his pocket.
L. It's hot in here. Can we go get fresh air?
A. Alright.
We walked outside and sat down in a bench that was by the street.

We sat their in silence for a couple of minutes until he spoke up.
L. You know, I'm not upset about the breakup.
I looked at him confused.
A. Than why are you upset?
He sighed running his hand down his face.
L. Well there is this girl I am getting feelings for.
I couldn't help but feel a little upset when he said that. I don't know why.
A. So you were with Chloe when you liked another girl?
L. I just figured out my feelings for me.
I slowly nodded.
A. And what about her?
L. I can't be with her.
A. Why not?
He leaned his head back, looking at the sky above us. The stars were beautifully illuminated.
L. She, I-I don't know. I don't think she feels the same way towards me and she has a boyfriend.
A. Oh. Well has she told you that?
He shook his head.
L. It's just, I've been so confused! I've never felt this way! Not even towards Chloe! It's eating me alive and I'm only getting hurt. I need help!
He said desperately. I could see his eyes becoming glossy. I couldn't help but feel broken.
A. You should tell her how you feel?
L. What if she rejects me? I don't want to be embarrassed in front of her!
He said as a tear fell down his cheek. I have never seen him cry before. Usually I'm the one who cries in front of him. But I can tell right now that Logan has strong feelings for this girl.

I reached my hand out and wiped away the tear.
A. Don't let the what if's attack you Logan. Your a fucking Maverick! You shouldn't give a fuck about that!
He smiled slightly and laughed silently. I smiled.
L. I guess your right.
I smiled at him and gave him a very tight hug. I could smell his cologne and I couldn't help but love that smell. I didn't want to let go of the hug, but eventually we let go and sat back down. I sighed.

We've been sitting here for a while in silence, I don't think anyone has noticed we are outside. None of us have spoken. We have been enjoying the silence filling the air. It was around 3 in the morning meaning not many people were out in the streets. Maybe 2 or three cars would pass. But not many.
L. Can I tell you something?
I looked at him and smiled.
A. Sure.
He looked me in the eye looking for something. I could tell by the way he was starring at me.
I saw him leaving in and I was frozen in my spot. Was he going to kiss me?!
He leaned in a bit further until our faces were a few centimeters apart. My breath hitched. I could feel his warm breathe on my lips. I looked at his eyes and took a quick peak at his pink soft lips.
L. You look beautiful tonight.
He whispered. He looked down at my lips and up at my eyes again. I stayed their in my spot looking intensely in his eyes.

He leaned in even further and eventually our lips connected. His lips were so soft, I couldn't help but kiss back. Our lips moved in sink and I felt sparks all over my body. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he groaned against my lips, pushing me further into him and deepening the kiss. He bit my bottom lip and I couldn't help but speed up the kiss. He quickly responded. Here we were kissing in the middle of the night on a bench outside of a club.

And I was enjoying it.
