I wake up screaming from a nightmare I'm shaking like a leaf, my dog doesn't think twice he jumps up on the sofa where I fell asleep on.

He nuzzles me he knows that my anxiety is sky high. I wrap my arms around him tears flowing from my eyes.My dog just stays there an lets me hold him as I calm down slowly.

It was just a nightmare it happened to me in real life. My ex that's what!. It was like a clip show, him cutting my upper arm an him saying he was drunk. He wasn't drunk I know that but I was asleep when it happen I couldn't fight back. All I knew I woke up as soon as I felt the knife go fast on my arm. I had to get stitches from it. After it healed I got my one tattoo of a dragon put over it.

I look at my phone for the time it's 5:30am , I know who I can call who's up at this hour. I scroll down an find who I was calling. It's rings twice.

"Hello Babygirl" -Mans voice
I laugh. "Hi dad, you know I'm not a baby right?"
My dad laughs. I miss hearing it.
"Your always my Babygirl and always  will be until you get married an give me grandchildren" he chuckles.
"DAD!!!" sometimes I swear he say that to get me aggravated but I know he's joking with me.
"What's going on your voice sounds little off beat" he says worried.
I sigh
"I had the one nightmare dad" my voice sounds distorted. I hear my dad give out a heavy sigh an a curse almost if he was hit in the stomach.
"Kate listen to me, he can't do anything to you anymore, that son of a bitch is behind bars now getting his ass hand to him".
Why does it sound like my dad knows something? I think to myself.
"I know but everything he's done to me still haunts me dad, what am I a pose to do?" I say.
Silents hits the phone.
"Kate listen to me, I have a friend that lives an hour an half away from New york. I'll send you his address he's got a race track maybe you should see him an get back into gear young lady !" my dad almost yells.

I start to roll my eyes. I know what he means.

"Okay dad, I love you an miss you" I hold back tears my voice is soft.
"Love you an miss you to monster, now I got to go to the garage and fixs some cars"he says.

We say our goodbyes, I look at the time "Damn I was on phone with my dad for almost an hour!". Well no point of going back to sleep. I get off the sofa an relized I slept in my clothes from lastnight. "Lovely" I shake my head. I pet duke an thank him for being there for me, he just give me puppy dog eyes.

I walk to the bathroom an take off my make-up,"God I look a mess right now". After I get my make-up off I walk into the living room then it hits me "Omg I said yes to Daryl" my heart races but in a good way. I haven't been in a relationship since my ex that's been over 3years now.

Daryl on the other hand is different, I felt the fire between us like it was waiting to be awakened like a sleeping beast. I giggle " I must say he's one sexy man I got , an very mysterious in his own ways".

I go over to the kitchen an started to fixes some coffee. As it brews I turn on some music an start to clean up some. I hate when things are out of order.

I start to smell the coffee I walk over an get a cup out of the cabinet an go to the fridge an pull out the creamer. I pour some creamer an coffee into the cup I take a sip, I look down duke is looking at me like "hey human don't forget about me now" . I pull out his dog food from the corner cabinet an fill is bowl up.
