Jesse Pov:

Lukas and I were trying to find a way out of this enormous forest it felt like we were walking for ages, but you couldn't tell what time it was the trees were blocking any source of light. 

Lucky for us Lukas happened to have a torch, but unfortunalaty he had to be very careful with it or else the trees would catch on fire. My feet were starting to get tired and I said,"We should take a break," Lukas nodded in agreement.

We didn't have any food left we ran out a two days ago sadly. Lukas leaned against a rock while I leaned against a tree. "Think we'll ever get out of here?" Lukas asked me.

I hesitated for a moment before saying, "Yes we have too. We been through way worse than this." "That's true..." He replied as he adjusted himself trying to make himself comfortable against the boulder. 

Soon, he dozed while I was trying to keep my mind off of food, but that's a really hard task when you know you are hungry. I decided to scout ahead to search for any food or an exit. I didn't stray too far from the light so I wouldn't get lost.

I searched in a bush and in a tree, and there was nothing not a single fruit in sight. I sighed I thought a forest was supposed to be loaded with fruit, no wonder there's no animals here.

I started punching a tree in frustration, leaving my knuckles bloody. "Keep it together," I told myself. I walked back to where Lukas was, who was snoring lightly. "Well at least Lukas is sleep." I muttered. 

I tried to go to sleep, but hunger kept me up, so I decided to knock down a tree for wood, hoping it would make me even more tired.

I knocked down the tree after what seemed like five minutes of punching. An apple had fell out which I was extremely grateful for. I took out my sword slicing it in half.

I ate one half leaving the other one beside me. It didn't really fill me up, so it was so hard to try not to eat the other half especially when its right beside you. It was such a tease!

Finally, Lukas had woke up looking refreshed. "Thank goodness your up!" I exclaimed as I tossed him the rest of the apple. "You have no idea what I been through trying to not eat that." I said.

He finished it in like one bite. "Thanks." He said wiping his mouth with his sleeve. "No problem." I said with a grin.

 He observed me and said,"You look like you haven't gotten any sleep." "Yeah tell me about it." I said rolling my eyes in a playful way. 

"What happened to your hands?" Lukas said. "Nothing you should be worried about." I said. "Anyways lets start walking again." I said trying to change the subject. Thankfully, he nodded not pushing me to answer his question.

We walked for about thirty minutes when tiredness came over me. Which I shook my head violently trying to shake it off. Then a little wolf pup came running over to Lukas. "Woah." He said in surprise.

"Were did he even come from?" I asked Lukas. "No clue, but he sure likes me. Wait how did you know it was a he?" He replied.

"I have my ways." I said a smirk growing on my face. "Uh huh." He replied staring at the wolf pup who was running around Lukas.

"Come on Lukas you know you want him." I said crossing my arms. He sighed, "We don't even have food to feed this little guy." He said I sad look on his face.

"Don't worry we'll find food along the way hopefully..." I said. "And what if they isn't any food?" He replied. "Stop being such a worry wart and bring him." I said.

He was reluctant at first, but eventually he picked him up. "I will call you Lee." He said with a big smile across his face.

"Seriously Lukas."  I said. "What!" He replied. "Does it have to start with an L." I said. "Yes, yes it does," He said as his new companion licked his face. "Ewww gross." He whined. 

I just laughed as I watched a new friendship being born...
