Dix the Cotton Patch Goose (Male): Up until the 1950s, Alabama had this gander and other geese graze his cotton fields. Pesticides had since become commonplace, so geese were no longer needed for pest control. Still, Dix stuck around, taking on a new role as Alabama's natural lawnmower.

Crimson Typhoon the Racking Horse (Male): Nicknamed Tyson, they sport a sorrel coat with a flaxen male and tail. Alabama got the stallion sometime in the late 20th century as a gift from Tennessee. Sliced peaches are their favorite treat.
