Introduction

Though of minor importance, the inclusion of pets and creatures can be a cute addition for characters. In Hetalia, America is shown to have a whale, a cat, a unicorn he can't see, a bunny (during their childhood), and an alien named Tony as companions. He also has an eagle as a carrier animal, but I digress. With around 70% of households in the United States owning at least one pet, it's conclusive to say most Americans love animals. No question, most of my OCs have their own pets and creatures to reflect that notion.

Before going through and judging this series, I want to say a couple of things:

As always, I've done a lot of research on the subject. There are lots of animals and creatures in this world, even among domesticated breeds. In addition, many states have designated various mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles, and all sorts of animals as their state symbols. Unless every OC of mine lives on a large property completely unbound by animal ownership laws, it'll be impossible for them to own a menagerie of sorts. For my sanity, each OC will have six kinds of creatures at most, excluding state birds for I distinguish them as being the states' carrier animals.

Believe me when I say some OCs are harder than others to figure out. Some people may find these choices odd. Some people may disagree with them. I understand those thoughts completely. I'm open to changes and criticisms as long as they're polite and understanding. Overall, I appreciate everyone taking the time to read this series.

As always, continue reading as usual.

Rover the Golden Retriever (Male): Contrary to their owner's personality, Rover is an active, friendly dog whose popularity among the states far eclipses Delaware. They go crazy for chicken.

Bethany the Delaware Blue Hen (Female): Nicknamed Beth, they're specifically a blue strain of American Game chicken. Delaware got them as a newly hatched chick during the American Revolutionary War. Unlike their owner, Beth is a sassy chicken with no problems fighting things more than twice their size.
