"Come On You Bug" my momma said closing the car door

"Love You Too. Can we come on though I'm hungry" I said following her

"Table for 2" she told the waiter. He grabbed two menus and walked to a nearby booth.

"You have enough belly space?" She asked sliding in the booth. I nodded.

"I'm Demetrius. Can I start you off with something to drink" he said smirking at my mom

"I'll have a Pepsi and she'll have a orange juice" she said blushing

"I'll be back with those in a second" he said walking away

"Ouu Ma get that" I said sticking out my tongue dancing

"He does not want these problems" she rolled her eyes

"You damn right" I said. She popped my hand hard as hell.

"Watch your mouth in public"

"Ight. You got it. But I got a question" I said

"Here goes your drinks. Are you ready to m
order?" Demetrius said placing the drinks on the table.

"I'll have the crab mac and cheese and a Caesar side salad" my mom said

"Okay beautiful. And for you young lady"

"Cajun Shrimp with French fries in You Have those" I said. He laughed and wrote it down. But I wonder what's so funny?

"I'll put that in right now and be back when it's finished" he winked at my mom and collected our menus.

"So what you were saying?" My mom said

"Why don't you talk about dad?"

She sighed and started fiddling her thumbs. We both do that where we're thinking or uncomfortable. She looked up at me then at the table.

"Well. With him being in the army and all I really don't pay much attention to him anymore" she replied

"Do You still want to be with him" I drank my juice

"When he comes here yeah. But until then I'm just gonna do me" she shrugged

"That's what I like to hear" I said.

"I got me a little boo though. He's taking me on a date tonight" she smiled

I nearly spit my juice out. My momma hasn't been on a date since I was 14 and that's when Brian took her out on her birthday.

"How long have y'all been talking?" I asked

I mugged her and Demetrius came back with our plates and more bread. We ate and talked about random things before we asked for the check. I payed And Demetrius slipped her Something before we walked out.

"What was that About?" I asked as she started the car.

"Nothing" she blushed turning around to reverse out the parking lot.
