Chapter Eighty-Seven: Monster

Feather's POV

I looked down at my bloody hands.

"Feather---" Ki said softly. I turn around to see Black Beard lying lifelessly on the ground, blood pouring out of multiple stab wounds.

"I'm a monster...." I whisper.

"Black Beard. Go." Ki said. (It's like Pokemon Go, But worse)

"Yarr.... That.... Lass.... Be.... Insane...." Black Beard coughed. He pulled out a magic mirror. With Blue particles filling the room, the pirates disappeared.

Ki took a step towards me.

"Are you okay, Feather?" He asked. I shook my head.

"I'm..... I'm a monster..."  I whimpered. Tears spilled from my eyes.

Ki took another step towards me.

"No you're not.... You were just scared...." Ki tried to comfort. My head went back and forth.

"No no no no no! I almost killed him! I already killed so much...." I continued backing away from Ki.

"Calm down." Ki said.

"I'm sorry..... I'm so so sorry..... I'm sorry..." I stuttered. I felt my back got against the wall.

"It's not your fault. Please calm down..."   Ki cautioned. He was a few steps away.

"Stay back! I don't want to hurt you!" I say. He shushed me.

"You won't hurt me....." He wrapped his arms around me.

"You're not a monster." He whispered into my ear, stroking my hair. 

I gave in a let a sob choke out. I hugged Ki tightly.

"Shhhh..... It's Okay now....." Ki comforted.

"I'm.... Sorry...." I cry.

He pulled away and grabbed my arm.

"I think we should get you cleaned up..." He said, slightly smiling.

I look down at my arm, which has blood rushing out of it.

Oh..

He grabbed my hand and lead me back to the table. I hopped up and sat on it. Ki started wrapping a bandage around my arm.

"W-what happened to me...?" I asked softly. Ki glanced at me.

"You were afraid......and fear took over....It happened to you before...." Ki said, in a a soft tone.

"Wait...... It has???? I..... I've been a monster b-before?" My voice cracked. Ki looked at me with an empathetic look.

"Yes...... "

"Ki!?? Can we come up now???" I hear Sebastian ask. Ki sighed.

"No not yet..." Ki replied.

He faced towards me.

"You are not a monster." He said. I trembled a little bit more. Ki hugged me again.

"You're only human..." He whispered into my ear.

"Well well well... What do we have here?" I hear Sebastian ask. I turn my head to see Sebastian and Smador standing across the room.

Ki's POV

I rolled my eyes.

"I thought I told you two to stay down there." I say, narrowing my eyes.

"Sorry human! We didn't mean to interrupt you and Feather's special moment. " Smador apologized.

Feather sighed.

"So...... What now?" She asked me. I bit my lip.

"Later tonight.... I'll take you home....I know you're missing Brandon...." I reply. Her face lit up.

She really cares for him....

And misses him for that matter.....

It'll do her good, being back home.

Plus...... I don't want her getting even more hurt here....

I love her too much to let anything else happen to her here........

Brandon's POV

"Bbbbrrraaannnddoonn..." A voice leered out. I open my eyes to see I'm in a completely pitch back room.

I've been here before....

I know who said that

"Miss me?" The hooded figure asked. I scoffed.

"What do you want??" I growl.

The figure shrugged.

"Just wanted to tell you.... You're Kyrie has realized his feelings for Fiona..." He said, nonchalantly.

"And to think! You did the exact same thing! Just like me!"

"I am nothing like you..." I hiss under my breath, desperately trying to convince myself that it was the truth.

It started as a low chuckle, but then grew into a deep cackling. The laughed echoed in my head, mocking my incompetence.

"But Brandon... You just don't get it!" The hooded warrior heckled,"We're one in the same, like Birds of a Feather"

"Just you watch, Brandon.... History will repeat itself...."
