Snippets from the interviews and promotions me and Varun had done over the past few weeks flashed through my head as I scrolled past article after article about how I'm hopelessly in love with Varun and he thinks of me as nothing more than a friend.

I wondered how I could be so stupid. It was mainly my fault that these rumours had sprung up. If I had just lied a little, it would be fine. But, no. I had to be honest.

I have to admit, the rumours aren't entirely false, but nobody should ever know that. Especially not Varun.

So I'm kind of in love with him. What's the big deal? It's not like I don't know it's never going to happen. He thinks of me as a friend and I value our friendship more than anything. I didn't mean to fall for him, it just happened.

And who wouldn't fall in love with him? He's the sweetest, most caring guy I've ever met. Not to mention he's funny, smart and more than a little good looking.

I'm not the first girl to fall for him and I won't be the last.

The only problem is that I spend ridiculous amounts of time with him which makes it impossible to not fall even more in love with him. And it's not like I can just stop spending time with him; he would know that there's something wrong if I just told him we can't hang out anymore.

I looked up from my phone and saw the object of my thoughts had just arrived. I mentally groaned and cursed my other friends. We were all supposed to meet up at the mall and hang out today, but nobody else had shown up till now meaning it was just going to be me and Varun until they did.

I quickly put a smile on my face as he came towards me, hoping he wouldn't notice it was fake.

My hopes went up in smoke the second he opened his mouth.

'What's happened?' He asked, not bothering with a hello.

'Hi, Varun. Nice to see you, too.' I told him.

'Sorry. Let's start again. Hey, Alu. What's up?' He asked.

'The sky.' I joked. He rolled his eyes but I saw a small smile threatening to make its way onto his face.
