"Good afternoon, Mr. And Mrs. Pedrad." Doctor Rodriguez greets us as she walks into the room. It's been about three and a half hours since Ty got here, and the contractions weren't that bad then. They're really bad now, only about two minutes apart.

"Hi." I say as I try not to grit my teeth in pain. She sits down at the end of the bed, scribbles a few things down on the chart on the footboard, then checks on me. She begins to set me up, propping my legs up and placing the bucket beneath to catch the blood.

I look up at Ty, frightened. He only gives my hand a reassuring squeeze, reminding me that this will all be worth it in the end.

A nurse comes around behind me and injects the epidural into my lower back. The familiar small pinch in my back sends relief through my body. At least now I know that most of the pain will diminish soon.

"Okay, you can start pushing now, Mrs. Pedrad." Doctor Kelsey smiles from the foot of the bed. I nod as I take Ty's hand in mine.

Three hours later, and I'm still pushing, the shoulders now out, and the rest of Dylan almost out. "One more big push and he should be out!" Doctor Kelsey speaks over my screams.

Ty still holds my hand, and I lean forward, sitting up as I push. "That's it!" Doctor Kelsey chants. "That will help with the pain." She smiles as she reaches forward, I guess to hold Dylan as he comes out.

Ty places his hand that isn't holding mine on my shoulder. Tears blur my vision as I look at Ty, the pain overwhelming me one second, and gone the next. I hear a shrill cry as I release Ty's hand, falling back down into the bed.

"Sir, would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" A nurse asks Ty. He nods sheepishly, his hand slipping off of my shoulder and running down my arms as he walks to another spot in the room where a bunch of nurses are.

Seconds later, the deed is done, and Ty walks back over to me with tear-filled eyes. He sits down beside me as takes my hand in his. "He's beautiful." He whispers, and I smile, pecking his cheek.

Soon, a blue bundle is brought over by a nurse, and I gasp. He truly is beautiful. The nurse places him in my arms, and Ty looks over my shoulder at him, his arm placed around my shoulder and his hand stroking my arm.

"I hate to break up this family moment, but what would you like to name him?" Doctor Kelsey asks. "Dylan Lee Pedrad." We both smile. She nods, and then Ty walks over to fill out a form.

Dylan sleeps peacefully in my arms, and as I look down at him, I see so much of Ty. "Sorry ma'am, but we need to take him to clean him up." A nurse says.

I nod, and Doctor Kelsey walks over to me. "You just need to deliver the placenta, and then you'll be able to rest." She tells me. Rest. It seems so foreign to me right now.

"Honey," I hear Tobias's voice as he steps into the house. I take another sip from my coffee as I flip through a magazine. He sounds frantic. I set down my cup, looking up at him confusedly.

"Hunter came by the control room earlier telling me to go to the infirmary." He says, "So I did. Maddie and Ty are there, and Maddie has gone into labor." He tries his best to smile, but it looks pained.
