Commitment is about the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, e.t.c.
4 things that stop us from committing to the Lord
1) Lack of discipline [Proverbs 5:23]
We reason our way out of commitment.
2) Lack of focus
We allow distractions to pull our focus away from Jesus.
3) Self-Indulgence [James 1:6-8]
We expect God to work for what we want, not what he wants for us. We only love God when he does what we want him to do.
We chose to indulge in our own feelings, expecting only good things from God.
4) Friends [James 1:3-4]
We allow the disbelief of our friends to discourage our walk with God.
